(OOC: Considering the confusion over political legitimacy in Vangala, I'd be grateful if everyone could post whether they recognise the People's Republic or the United Princely States, the People's Republic's predecessor, or if by some quirk, both / neither)

The People's State of Boganhem, changing the former diplomatic stance of the Kingdom of Boganhem, recognizes the People's Republic of Vangala as rightful representative of the Vangalan People. Though the People's State is no adherent of communism, the People's State recognizes the importance of abolishment of monarchies and all non-popular governments.

We wish all luck to the People of Vangala in their quest for self-determination and liberation.

I, Felix Ua Néill of the House Uí Néill, High King of Ivernia, Duke of Meath and Lord of Tara Castle to officially declare on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ivernia, the Senate of Ivernia, and all-Ivernish that the High Kingdom of Ivernia officially recognises the United Princely States as the one true post-colonial successor of the Franconian Kingdom.

In this region in Europe the United Princely States is recognised as the State - and no other. The High Kingdom of Ivernia shall thus only discuss on a state-to-state level with the governance of the United Princely States.

Assuming the People's Republic of Vangala recognizes Østveg, which I assume it does regardless starting on August 1st... then yes, the Kingdom of Østveg recognizes the People's Republic and in the process would have unrecognized the United Princely States.

OOC: I don't know what Eiffelland's stance would be.

The decision to recognise either the Princely States or the People's Republic or both would depend on the opinions of the majority of the two national parliaments, and on the stance of the Franconian government on a possible recognition of the People's Republic by Eiffelland. Furthermore, the dispute between Potenza and Vangala about the Potenzan missionaries would currently be a factor in the decision to recognise the People's Republic or not.

Eiffelland is governed by coalition governments. The current coalition consists of Christiandemocrats and Rightwing Liberals, with a Christiandemocratic Chancellor. This coalition has been governing Eiffelland since 1950. Between 1943 and 1950, Eiffelland had been governed by a coalition between Sociodemocrats and Christiandemocrats, with a Sociodemocratic chancellor.

The Christiandemocrats and the Rightwing Liberals definitely recognise the Princely States as the legitimate government of Vangala, but they are also realistic enough to teeth-gnashingly see that Vangala is governed by the People's Republic—of course the Rightwing Liberals gnash their teeth more loudly than the Christiandemocrats. The Sociodemocrats would definitely recognise the People's Republic.

The current coalition (Christiandemocrates – Rightwing Liberals) would recognise the Princely States as the legitimate government and the People'r Republic as the actual government (to make diplomacy between Eiffelland and Vangala possible, and pending Franken's IC stance).

The previous coalition (Sociodemocrats – Christiandemocrats) would have recognised both entities when it would have been an inssue before 1946 (pending Franken's IC stance), and would have fought about it afterwards.

The People's Republic of Seora requests to exchange embassies and gain formal recognition from the People's Republic of Vangala. Furthermore, the People's Republic of Seora wishes to make clear that all foreign policies conducted between the Empire of Yujin and the People's Republic of Vangala are not inherited by the People's Republic of Seora, and that as such our two nations are not in a state of war with one another.
