The Federal Council had taken a great interest in the instability in Himyar and while it had remained silent taking note of events as they unfolded and how the rest of Europe reacted. Ascalon was an irrational state that was constantly finding some way to anger its allies or neighbors in a form of attempting to exert more power and influence over them.

It was after several back door exchanges that now the chartered aircraft carrying several junior members of various ministries was making its final approach for landing in the Jurzan capitol city. They were to meet with the Jurzans to discuss a large variety of issues and re-open diplomatic relations since shutting them down at the beginning of the civil war.

Burhan Rahgozar was walking up the stairs to the meeting room between Jurzani Representatives and Representatives from the Platte Confederation. The Platte Confederation and the Republic of Jurzan working together was indeed an odd idea, but they saw a threat in Ascalon, so did we. The Republic now had workers in Cenetics, preparing to go out to construct the first oil rig in Mare di Dio. There was a lot of concern over it, but above anything else, oil was the main goal.

Burhan Rahgozar was an odd choice to lead the Jurzani Delegation. Minister Jabir hand selected him, and as to why he didn't go himself baffled Rahgozar. Rahgozar was young, but he showed promise, he was training to be a permanent advisor to the Ambassador to Carentania, but instead he was sent to meet with the Confederation.

Burhan walked up to the room, he shifted his tie and buttoned his jacket, he then put the biggest smile he could on. He opened the door and walked in. The room was nice, it had a long table with chairs lined all around for each member of the nations' delegations. There was a Jurzani Flag and Platte Confederation flag crossed, it was a symbol of friendship. Oddly enough, there was no press, no windows.

"Hello, most esteemed delegates, my name is Burhan Rahgozar, I am an advisor to the Jurzani Ambassador to Carentania, it is my pleasure to be before all of you today," he said, as he shook all their hands.

He then sat in his seat and took a sip of water. He then cleared his throat and looked at the Delegates. "Now, what would you like to discuss first?"

Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani had been designated as the lead of the mission and was not exactly a young prominent member of the Ministry but he was selected to carry on the words and ideas the Federal Council had towards Jurzan and his racial background and religious preference of Islam.

"We are very glad to be here in a country that has endured so much in the recent time and has even had what could be called allies turn against it."

He paused his speech while all the delegates found a seat and made themselves comfortable, "What interest would a nation such as the Confederation have in Jurzan you may be wondering. Our interest is one of economics first and foremost with friendship as a secondary. We would like to help rebuild Jurzan from its devastating civil war and war with Talemantros as we have multiple large corporations that would like to begin establishing themselves in this promising country. So we must ask what kind of reconstruction efforts are needed, what does your government feel that the country lacks? We do not want to exactly step on the toes of domestic business."

A stronger Jurzan means it will be in a stronger position to be a counter-weight to the overzealous neighbor of yours Ascalon."
As he finished what he had to say it did not take long for a member representing the Defense Ministry to interject making the reasons he was there known.

"Now Mr. Rahgozar I am here to represent the Confederation Armed Forces. What interest we have in your country would be one that would be mutually beneficial for our countries. We would like to establish two testing grounds in Jurzan for the purpose of practice and testing of existing tactics and concepts as well as potentially weapon systems. These testing grounds would not house any large permanent formations, and one would be for aircraft and the other for land forces. They would serve primarily as a ground for exercises between our nations armed services and a semi-secret testing ground for new weapons systems."
