THE GRAND EUROPEAN TRADE PACT
FOR THE PROMOTION OF INTERNATIONAL FREE TRADE

BELIEVING in the inherent merits and advantages garnered by increased economic cooperation and healthy commercial activities in the sphere of Free Trade between the Nations, we hereby give declaration of the foundation of The Grand European Trade Pact on this day, the Thirtieth of September Nineteen Hundred and Fifty Two in San Salvo, the Grand Duchy of Potenza.

The body and its agreement are gilded to the elimination or reduction of tariffs, trade preference and import quotas on the exchange of goods, services, and capital between signatories in the spirit of the Agreement but ensuring the independence and individual policies taken at a national level towards co-members and enshrining the jurisdiction of national governments maintaining sole powers at economic level regarding non-signatory states and entities.

We believe the Agreement will facilitate the advantages of aggregate wealth and investment links between all members across Europe with the long term prosperity and economic strength being a prime desire of all those co-signed or those choosing to adhere to the Agreement as future accession states.

His Royal Majesty must note that this trade pact is not entirely accepted by the Kingdom of Agderike without proper exceptions. The Kingdom of Agderike refuses to agree to the collective terms of the treaty with the Socialist Republic of Media, and will not agree to the terms of GRAND EUROPEAN TRADE PACT so long as our exception is not indicated. This preference was indicated by our democratically elected body, Lagtinget, as well as by the King himself. —It would be His Royal Majesty's preference to have the Socialist Republic of Media not included within the treaty at all.

Additionally, the Kingdom of Agderike finds itself potentially at odds with the inclusion of the Republic of the Ardenne. This is not due to any potential conflict as of yet, but due to an uncertainly in their policies as of recent and His Royal Majesty's uncertain stance in his opinion towards their inclusion at this junction. He would feel more secure with their inclusion at a postponed date.

We thank our member nation of Agderike for expressing their concerns. We received the communication from the Danish Foreign Office, due to misdirection, who sent it to the Secretariat of the Grand European Trade Pact.

Enshrined in the founding document of the GETP is the unalienable right of member nations to exercise sovereignty pertaining to individual member states within the Pact based upon the Country of Origin designation of products from other signatory members.

It is in that regard that the Kingdom of Agderike may exercise its own jurisdiction regarding other signatory members as it is empowered under the terms of the Pact of San Salvo so long as the spirit of the agreement is maintained with respect to the majority of co-signatories.

In similar fashion, I have it that the Kingdom of Danmark, or the Danish Imperium as it signified its title under the terms of the agreement, expresses a desire to place certain restrictions based upon the Country of Origin principle, of products from the Kingdom of Ardenne.

As regards the exclusion of the Republic of Media and the Kingdom of Ardenne, it should be provided for dissemination and vote within the San Salvo Pact signatories as an initiative by the government of the Kingdom of Agderike for consideration by the signatories.

We are part of the funding members of this pact. We agreed to join this type of pact to trade and get lower tariffs when importing or exporting goods from the other members of this pact. The Kindgom of Adgerike just shows how immature it is if they believe that they can't trade with us on the basis of our socialist ideas. A truly democratically elected body, would care for its people and will try to make its life more prosperous by every means necessary.

If the Kingdom has economical issues regarding our presence in this pact, we will try to resolve them. But if the Kingdom doesn't want to cooperate with us because of our social and government system, we condemn their trying of politicization of this pact.

His Royal Majesty must remind the so-called members of this pact that Agderike never agreed to this trade agreement with the Median State. Thus our Kingdom finds little merit in the label founding member of the pact. It would appear any nation could strong arm their way into this agreement.

What I believe our opponents from the Median State fail to understand is that immaturity is not a label that can be thrown around from the lips of an ignorant leadership. The very existence of a socialist proletariat state which seeks the overthrow or the demise of our very system of governance is not bode well for our relations. While we understand the Median State's urgent desire for détente, it is outright ignorant to believe that we can co-exist peacefully, especially on a level of relaxed and easy trade. It is worth noting that His Royal Majesty has not issued an embargo and outright end to trade with Media, and thus the Median claim to refuse trade with their state is factually deviant at best. We simply refuse to expand trade relations with a nation which could do potential and systemic harm to our nation. The pure ignorance in the Median rebuttal if anything shows to our nation that they harbor such mischievous desires in which to weasel their way into civilized European politics.

There is no politicization of this dispute of trade, only a desire to maintain order and sensibility for betterment of the Nords. This trade pact as it stands is unsatisfactory, and the urgency in which the Medians attempt to defame our Kingdom has made it simply unbearable.

As such the membership of THE GRAND EUROPEAN TRADE PACT must decide by the closure of the standard work week, if they wish to maintain the membership of Agderike or of the Median Communist State. Should Media remain a member by dusk on Friday in Kristiania, the Kingdom of Agderike will consider its involvement in this pact void and null. In so far as much as we will not have ever agreed to being a signature to this pact in the first place.

I am distressed to see such rancour amongst member states of our organisation, forged on the principle of free trade principles and I feel, in my duty, the need to reproach the Foreign Minister of Agderike for her stance over the tenets of the Pact of San Salvo.

The Agreement is apolitical with only the virtues of common agreement over the tenets of free trade between the nations being of regard. I am somewhat disappointed that political disputes have been entered into the sphere of common and mutual economic concord.

I also wish to point out the fundamental basis of the agreement - that, so long as the spirit of the Pact is ensured to the majority of members, the rights of national governments to undertake restrictions against co-signatories is permitted. In that essence, both Agderike and Media are equal members free to trade with others even if there are bilateral restrictions between them.

However, it is strongly felt that the membership of Media is problematic for Agderike. In this regard, we ask representatives to make their decisions and opinions known. By a quorum, the decision must be taken as to whether either Media is removed from the Pact, Agderike is removed from the Pact, or if status quo should be maintained, the latter of which may lead to Agderike's exit.

After discussion within the Third General Assembly of the Islamic Republic of the Jurzan, we have approved, unanimously, the decision to apply for membership in the Grand European Trade Pact. It is the belief of the Jurzani Nation that trade is the way in which we will create an economy that our people deserve and create a powerful, developed state.

This being said, the Jurzani Government is officially requesting to be named a member of the Grand European Trade Pact.

I am most pleased that the Islamic Republic of The Jurzan has indicated an interest in becoming an equal standing member of the Grand European Trade Pact.

Following established procedures, the application of the Islamic Republic will be put to a quorum vote among existing members at the Convenors Council to be held at the headquarters in San Salvo.

Following a session-extraordinary of the Convenors Council, the quorum vote indicates that the Islamic Republic of The Jurzan has been accepted as a member of the Grand European Trade Pact.

Following this accession, Jurzan is an equal member with all others though we refer it the Pact of San Salvo for guidance of the intricacies and obligations placed upon Jurzan in accession.

I personally welcome the advent of Jurzani membership and speak upon the behalf of member states that your application and acceptance are viewed with a warm welcome.
