The Matanzas Liberation Army (MLA) was a relatively new creation. It was the heir of the Colored Army, which since 1947 had fought for Blacks rights. However since this year, the CA was no longer necessary since it seemed Black liberation was likely. So the freedom fighters all hopped on a new band wagon. The leader of the MLA was Travis Marqui. Marqui was Rastafarian like most blacks in Matanzas. His hatred for the white was deep, however his love of money ran deeper than that hate.

Every organization he had been involved with in the past ten years wound up becoming very little more than drug cartels. His main focus for the MLA however, was to actually liberate Matanzas and impose himself as dictator. He had recently gotten a message from one of his Firm contacts, saying that soon he would be receiving weapons from the Piazzi family. The Piazzi's were mafioso's from Potenza. Which was a whole ocean away. However, today was the day one of their representatives was going to show up to meet them. Marqui had no idea what to expect, other then a white man. He hoped there would be samples with the white man, however it would be hard to bring any rich mafia cars this far into the brush. The MLA guerrilla camp was nothing to fuck with thats for sure.

OOC: Just FYI, I've seen this - I've just been hit with the busy stick. I'll try to respond in the next two days or so. :)

What arrived probably wasn't expected by the men in this camp. A land rover drove through the forest, making its way through the dense trees and rough terrain. At its wheel was a black man, and at his side was a white man wearing jungle cammo and an eye patch, a long scar going down that side of his face. This man was known in various circles as Biscione, a name with a double meaning. In Tiburan the word referred to a large grass snake, and Biscione was the Piazzi crime family's number one man for setting up shop in the most barren and inhospitable regions (where there was often literally "large grass"); he was also a native Potenzan, and the biscione was one of the symbols on the Potenzan flag. His driver was his right hand man in the Wasatch area, known by his code name Chien, which meant "dog" in some languages. He was his dog in the Wasatch area, keeping things tidy and heeding his master's wishes.

Biscione held up some documents showing his identity to one of the men outside the camp, who were clearly expecting him. They let him in the compound, where Chien drove towards the center, where Biscione stepped out to meet Marquis.

"Good to see you," Biscione replied, "your men seem rather surprised - did they expect to see a tall, dark man in a tailored suit? Perhaps they've seen too many Potenzan films."

(OOC- sorry it took so long man:p)

Marquis was definitely surprised. A black man in a suit was a rarity, even in Matanzas. Regardless Marquis reached out to shake Biscione's hand. "I'd like to see the weapons we will be purchasing." Marquis was a man who was very straight to the point. His guerrillas were becoming under-armed and he desperately needed to be as well armed or better then the National Guard stationed in Hackettsville.

"You know what you want - I appreciate that," Biscione replied. He motioned to Chien, who simply nodded and walked around the back of the jeep, opening it. As he started to go through a few boxes, Biscione turned back to Marquis and continued:

"These are quality Beretta firearms. You'll probably ask how the Piazzi acquired these. Well, I'm not liberty to divulge too much information, but I would assure you that there was no loss of life involved. There's no blood stains on these weapons."

What Biscione hinted at was a dark secret with the Potenzan firearms manufacturers...namely, they sometimes encouraged the black market sales of their weapons. They would sometimes sell their weapons for a price to the mafia, who would in turn sell it to other circles for a profit. When they sold it to people on the street, Beretta would give the mafia intentionally tampered models that would break quickly, and result in the person seeking the material from the actual company - hence Beretta would establish a customer base. However, if the mafia were selling it to more "secret" parties - rebel groups, revolutionaries, terrorists, and the like - they sold quality models, and simply continued to sell to the mafia, who would then sell to their respective customers for a profit. In either case, it was a win-win situation for all involved.

Chien brought out an assault rifle, giving it to Biscione, who turned back to Marquis and showed it off:

"The Cx4 Storm - Beretta's prize little assault rifle. The Carabinieri and Potenzan military use this." He loaded a magazine clip into it, then walked over to an area with target practice, aiming and firing some short bursts at the targets. He nearly hit the bulls eye each shot. He reached into the pocket of his cammo pants, taking out a scope and attaching it to it, "You can really customize these guns. That's their selling point." He aimed again, using the scope this time, and emptied the magazine clip. This time he hit perfect every time.

Chien and Biscione traded guns now, the aide handing his superior a handgun. "This is Beretta's famous 92 model handgun. Some people whisper the words 'jamming problem' when its name comes up, but those were from the older models. It's been much improved. Observe." He turned and emptied the clip Chien had placed in. Bulls eye each time. Biscione was clearly a man who knew how to handle firearms.

He handed the pistol back to Chien, then turned towards Marquis, looking at him with his one eye and smiling as he asked, "So...what say you?"
