HOBC was founded in 1830 by a group of merchants who had emigrated from Western Europe to the eastern Kalahari Sea. The merchants first attempted to set up their bank in Siu Wui, the protectorate of Warre, but were soon driven out by the fierce competition in the already well established banking sector. The band of merchants soon set sail to the northeast and landed in the Port of Cathay where they successfully founded their bank and began business with minimal government oversight as Cathay was still a loosely governed pirate and trading haven under no coloniser's control. Since then and through the colonial era of 1892-1975, HOBC has gained a reputation of discreetly handling the wealth management of society's upper classes, while also providing basic retail banking services to people of all walks of life. Branches beyond New Cathay remain small in number as overseas operations focus solely on high-end wealth management of special individuals and corporate entities.

Expatriation of Assets
Should you desire to move your assets abroad, perhaps to New Cathay or another location, let HOBC Premier Class handle the transfer of your liquid, equity and mobile physical assets. Few questions are asked as that is simply not our business. Under New Cathayan law financial assets entering the country are not limited in amount nor discriminated based on origins. Let us handle the paperwork while you relax. HOBC Premier Class can also arrange expatriation of individuals and their families to New Cathay including the provision of Entry Passes (visas) and first class tickets on Cathay Pacific Airways to New Cathay Transcontinental Airport, where local bank personnel will ensure you arrive safely to provided transitional, yet naturally still luxurious accommodation.
Under New Cathayan law it is illegal for financial institutions and banks registered in New Cathay to report the existence of bank accounts or other assets to foreign entities. Domestically your personal information is only used for regulatory and tax compliance and is treated as highly confidential, with only your bank and the relevant New Cathayan government authorities having access to details such as names, citizenship, etc.
Efficient Taxation - Personal and Corporate
