Hotlinking

I ask you to stop it. Seriously, why don´t you use imageshack or photobucket, where you can put your images for free?

Over the last weeks, I have seen a tremendous amount of hotlinking happening. It ain´t nice - some of the older forum members might remember all of Portusgalia´s pictures being turned into tubgirl due to hotlinking.

So, if you don´t want to experience the same questionable honour, please use the image hosting services I mentioned beforehand.

Huh? It seems a bit of a bother to upload every random news photo to photobucket.
Could you elaborate?

Well, simply put, we are stealing other people´s traffic by hotlinking. Some servers also send spam bots to harass sites which notoriously hotlink - and I want to prevent us from having to seelot of "no hotlinking allowed" and likewise pictures.

I will, however, try to insert something to allow you to upload images to photobucket or imageshack on the fly while you are in the posting interface, to keep things running smoothly.
