Order of the Holy Sword Brethren
Dear Brothers in Faith,
In those times, we just see how our holy church is losing more and more influence even in the very heart of Gallo-Germania. We are concerned by the influence the "liberal" faction, emanating from Eifelland and Etruria, has on Herzogenrode Abbey and how they can influence the day to day live of his holiness, Pope Johannes XXIII. We fear that the lack of absolutely any reaction from the Holy See in the continuous decrease of influence of the Faith in Gallo-Germania will have extreme consequences on the peoples of the continent.
The expansion of atheism and secularisation is problematic, as the forces of liberalism try to break apart the national identities from their cultural values, which at the end, are all Christian, especially in Gallo-Germania, Vaalbara and Scania. While in Auraria, the revolution that took place two centuries ago went as far as to actively "de-Christianise" the country, nations like Etruria or Eiffelland have no reason to turn against the faith and to passively work in breaking apart the faith through their lack of support of church initiatives and lack of spine in defending the faithful. To that, we might go as far as to even find it a bit peculiar that the Pope offered the Grand Duchess of Lars the title of Queen of Etruria and even the right to use the title "Most Catholic". To that, we can only observe how the "liberal" faction is pretty much in control of the Chancery of the Holy See and play his Holiness, the Pope to their own machinations.
We propose a join action, similar to the Counter-Reformation of the old days, in which we fight for the return of real catholicism, not through the power of arms, but through hearts and minds. We propose to begin a humanitarian campaign in opening all sorts of Catholic missions that are close to the Holy Order of the Sword Brethren and to the Kingdom of Elben and the Northern Tiburan Empire. We propose the development of a series of charities meant to bring back in the fold the people of Auraria, Eiffelland and Etruria and to make them understand that the Catholic Social Teachings are the only way of building up an equitable society, righteous in the eyes of God.
We also propose a rapprochement with the clerics from the Grand Duchy of Furlanie and the People's Republic of Serenierre, both deeply Catholic countries and negotiations with the Reman Republic and the countries of the Rurikgrad Pact, to see if the aforementioned charities could function in their own countries too.
