The Inheritors of the World (Ander Velázquez- Tres Puntos Press, 2023) - The historical novel tells a redemption story set in the middle ages, in the Kingdom of Betica, during the wars between it and the Radilan Republic in the late 1100s. The main character, Juan Jose Ordóñez, is forced to become a pirate in the Buenaventura Bay, and creates a big name and and wealth for himself, even if that corrupts his persona. In his middle age crisis, he seeks redemption and joins a Crusade, without knowing it will be the infamous 4th Crusade.

Yo, El Señor (Elisa Padrón, Pontifical University of Valls 2023) - The half political analysis, half a revival of the dictator genre for its narrated parts, Yo, El Señor, or I, The Lord, offers an analysis of modern day political discourse around traditionalist, authoritarian monarchies such as Tarusa and links it to the 19th century political view of the world, where absolutist monarchies were battling not only republicanism, but also constitutionalism. The analysis sees that the modern world is too radicalised to the extremes, especially because the 19th century ideological conflicts were never resolved. It creates a link between today's Post-Delegationism and 19th century radicalism, and the Tarusan and Csengian absolutism as a modern, neo-feudal form of the 19th century absolutism and serfdom. The book is quite pessimistic, stating that unless the present day ideologies are moderated to come closer to the centre of the political axis, the world might face a global war, that will be total exactly to finally bring the hegemony of a world order.

Two Butchers and a Dancer: Stefan Balak, Jan Mistrik, Ratislav Koleny and the 1908 Constitution (Anton Lesay, Ignatius University Press 2023) - The story of how three unknown politicians transformed Zahorie in a matter of weeks with the Princov Conference and one of the most forward-thinking constitutions of the early 20th century. Brought about by two hardnosed but lazy politicians (Balak and Mistrik) and a politcal dynamo, the 1908 Constitution was a triumph of democratic ideals in a time of near unparalleled conservatism. Balancing back alley deals with clergy and negotiations with the Crown himself, the three men managed to bring Zahorie to a modern age and the legal landscape for decades to come.

Matthias Krauss: Detlev — The Fehrbellin Trilogy
Actually, these are three books. They tell the story of Detlev Silberstein, who moved from Scharmbeck to Fehrbellin in 1981. He landed in a scene of punkers, squatters and artists while searching for his brother, who had disappeared. The second book describes him being a bartender in the artists' scene in 1989, and the third book describes him on a 1995 party trip through the Rheinbund, visiting all kinds of technoparties. It is a description of the Fehrbelliner artistic scene in the 1980s and the first half of the 1990s, and the theme is hedonism leading to unplanned self-destruction with doom-thinking in the background. "Tomorrow will be shit, so let's party now!"

Christel Haussegger — The curse on the Lothars
The Rheinian sovereignty Lotharingen has its name from the term "Lotharii Regnum", Lothar's Kingdom. Historically, the name Lothar was given to many heirs of the throne of Lotharingen, 48 in total, including the current Crown-Prince. But since the end of the 17th century, there seems to be a curse on the name Lothar. The eldest son of Sovereign Lothar XLIV, also called Lothar, died in childhood, so that Lothar XLIV's second son Ludwig inherited the throne. Ludwig's son Lothar died before ascending to the throne; this Lothar also had a son called Lothar, who died in childhood. Later on, Sovereign Lothar XLV died childless, without a will. That led to the 1784 10-day struggle for the throne, putting the House of Heidemar-Herborn on the throne. 130 years later, Sovereign Lothar XLVII, who was also Rheinian King, was declared insane, together with his son Lothar.
Christel Haussegger describes the situations in 1784 and 1916 in detail in The curse on the Lothars. It is said that the House of Heidemar-Loorburg is not happy with this book.
