The Ivan Sorokin Award for Scientists is a prize granted yearly by the Ivan Sorokin Institute of Rijeka to those men and women who have made groundbreaking progress in their field of science, who have achieved advances that have fundamentally changed human understanding and whose importance have become apparent throughout the last year.
Nominations can be written in by any academic institution and will be judged by an international jury of respected scientists appointed by the dean of the Ivan Sorokin Institue. The price is named after influental socialist economist Ivan Sorokin and was first awarded in 1928.
