It's been awhile and this is semi-formal, as Xen is too busy being a legitimate business man and enriching his professional career, it was decided I should post the link to the map. As I am not a man of special forum powers, unfortunately you will need to use the link to see the map. It will not be posted otherwise unless Xen has more free time in the future. Many have complained about this link in the past saying they have to make an account! Nope! Not true! Make sure you read all the small print and if I remember right on mobile you have to click download. The file is perhaps large for phones though! 29.5mb, so if you have a data plan on your phone that you have to worry about, don't say I didn't warn you!

Download Link (July 2021):
Download Link (Sept 2021):

INACTIVITY & DISCLAIMER

Role play activity will prevent deletion from the map, there is no minimum activity needed to prevent removal as it is due to Mapmaker discretion, though an announcement of departure in the Absence Thread will excuse a drop off of activity. As mapmaker, on the next update I'd like to state that I plan to reduce the size of Implaria in order to reduce the geopolitical impact an AWOL nation has on the community in that region. If there are objections to this plan, please do so in this thread.

Thank you for your work on the map, Coro :)

EDIT: I also see that you increased height and width of the file. Until the version of March 2021, the size was 6500x3500 pixels, now it is 7000x4000 pixels. You added some see on top and some more see on the bottom.

ANOTHER EDIT: Previously I presumed the top and bottom of the map to be 70 degrees altitude north and south, but now I have to presume that it is 80 degrees north and south. Maybe the top of Rügen is above the polar circle now ;)

Or I should put horizontal lines at 250 and 3750 pixels altitude, and consider those 70 degrees altitude. Or choose some other values. In any case, something that makes calculating the altitudes easy.

Did anyone else but me make thoughts about altitude and latitude, i.e. a grid on the map?

Well, let's see what others say about a possible grid ;) Maybe they presume that there is an Anarctica below the map, and therefore want the equator to be lower on the map than in the centre ;) Or maybe even a big arctic continent above the map ;)

I suggest to add about 500-1000 px further north so the nation in the north could have a proper climate and also more larger area. It also make its northern side not crumbled when being put in globe

Indeed, there is an Antarctic region to consider and will be revealed at some point in the future. Additionally an "Arctic Sea" to consider. Things may move about still... and likely as they move, there will be complaints and I will do my best to accommodate them. Consider the map as it stands as a work in progress and likely will continue to be at least for the foreseeable future.

Currently there is no plan to add a grid on the map. This is because the "globe map" that we like to release in tandem with the Google Earth App looks horrible with the grid. Additionally, as things move about slightly we don't want to make anything seem concrete in placement. We don't want anyone married to 59°N or something. I have a lot of plans for map quality of life improvements and perhaps some day the grid will return, but it's not high on the priority list when considering a variety of other improvements, additions, and whatnot. The latest priority was making city icons look better. The old circles were very ugly. I also added mountain peaks. You'll note I added one in Eiffelland as one of the "test" locations which you are welcome to complain, change, move, rename, or whatever you'd like with it.

I'm still working on rivers for example... I would like to also make a climate map, and perhaps even a cultural map... but for now, the focus is on the main map.

I hope that answers your questions and discussions with @Apennina

Great work on Central Himyar!

For Pelasgia, could you make Nymphaion the new capital, while keeping Propontis as a Holy City? Thanks!

I have to warn you that as things are you haven't displayed enough activity to get onto the next map update. There is an expectation of a number of IC-posts before you can be mapped. In the past this was 20 and it isn't a strict number anymore, but still a guideline.

Applying for a MAP SPOT:

Location : Central Westernesse
Name of Country : Natal
Capital : Camp Hill
Location of Capital :
Green Dot
Additional Major Cities and Locations :
Blue Dot - Harton; Brown Dot - San Juan; Pink Dot - Blackmere; Pink Dot - Sunset-by-the-Sea;

I know it's part of revy's Implaria, but considering he's innactive and Natal takes over a bit of its left-wing policies, I was imagining that it would be possible to take the red circled spot. Ignore the green circle, as it represents a more Cascadia inspired Natal.

I'll be placing my new nation Guienny in Eseria's current spot. Eseria has zero RP posts and hasn't logged in since Jan 27th. My placement will be in more "detail" before I post the official map, but if there are complaints about me doing this I'd like to open it to discussion now.

Here is the tentative map that is Guienny and Alberche that is considered my application. I'll also be including a small one island colony near Jose, and a small Arab, and small Indian holding. No worries on their size, they are all quite small. I have a theory on "building" in a region and it fills up. So less complete empty space is my goal.

I cannot help it, but to me Oesgalia's archipelago looks like a Maltese dog chasing leaves or what not... Always has!
Are you a fan of

The last map still has you there, I'm assuming you just want the capital city renamed? Do you still want the "conflict zone" or should I just add that into your territory?
