Provisional Chairman Murat relaxes ban on political parties
Following the announcement of the February elections Chairman Murat has stated that the pan on political parties in the All Burgundian National Congress will be lifted with members of Congress free to create their own political parties and seek support from the Burgundian public. " Our Republic has nothing to fear from honest debate" Murat stated to the gathered press. So far Chairman Murat has been the first to register a political party The Burgundian People's Party, however it is expected that many more members of the All Burgundian National Congress will do likewise.
Government urges citizens to join new civil services
The Provisional Government is urging qualified citizens to join the Republic's new civil services."The government must be made efficient and robust in order to best serve the Burgundian people" Say Provisional Interior Minister Heinrich Bergmann.
Militias begin integrating into the National Republican Army
Following the declaration of the People's Republic men and women across the nation took up arms in defense of freedom. Many of these brave patriots formed their own militia bands independent of the Provisional Government in Pillau. Now that liberty has been restored and peace reigns it is time for those militiamen still bearing arms to be integrated full into the Republic's armed forces.
