Treviso, Saro 24/12/2017

The Saro Regional Police were out in full force, armed men and women were on every road in and out of the city, however the more heavily armed Guardia National were stationed in the city center. rumour was the army would also be sending in local units as well.

Treviso Police Commissioner Richardo Modesto was out of his depth, Saro was a rural backwater where nothing ever happened, now there were terrorists killed churchgoers, firefights in the city center and now the fucking army was could be deployed and now the Confederation's Internal Security Bureau was taking over leaving the SRP out of the loop in their own city.

Rumour was that the Confederation's government had found the Albacente Regional Assembly's corruption scandal to be systematic, word was that the Confederal government would take direct control of the region's finances until a new assembly could be created following a snap election in January.

The Alliance Syndicaliste Agraire was wasting no time in capitalizing on the weakness of their opponents, posters were going up all throughout the region decrying the "Corrupt kleptocrats in the Regional Assembly", and that a vote for the ASA would be " a vote for truth and transparency". The other political parties were slower to mobilize the La ligar republicana were running on a campaign of increased government over sight " Power to the Confederation!" . The ruling Partido Demócrata Carmesí was much slower to organize calling for stability and order. Le Front Bourguignon however was in complete disarray many of its leading members were now under investigation.

The country remained on high alert since the attacks in Treviso, so far no else had been arrested in connection with the attack but even so the authorities continued to search for anyone connected to the Sepakov Berbadjev Brigade. Additional police and army personnel were being stationed at key areas.

News of the ASA victory had shocked the political establishment, various pundits and commentators were trying to make sense of the election results. so far the current consensus was that the ASA's win was a result of a "youth quake" although the truth was a little more complex. The Alliance Syndicaliste Agraire had started as a grass roots movement in the 70's and had been steadily gaining support over the decades. recently the ASA had begun to grow into the nations leading outsider political party. The Albacente corruption scandal arrived at the the right time for the ASA to capitalize on their outsider status and the resulting election swept the party into office and no leaves them as one of the nations key political movers and shakers.

Saulot.

A heavy police presence remained on the streets of the capital, the Restauración Nacional were threatening further marches and so were various anti-fascist organisations. The police were under pressure from the Confederation's government to make sure that the Ortegists situation was dealt with quietly and discreetly for fear it could negatively affect the nations standing with its neighbours. The police were told to respond with the full force of the law if the Ortegists so much as smashed a window.

Gaspar was going to be late again, usually he'd take the train but since the bastard bastards had gone on strike the railways had ground to a halt, so he was stuck in his car along with thousands of others who'd had the same idea. He was channel surfing on his radio the news was all doom and gloom with the Confederations politicians calling for calm, which did nothing to reassure him.
