Dear Director Faraday,

I am writing to you today by the request of the President of the Republic, the Honorable Bartolome Ordenes, in pursuit of a new strategy in light of the increasingly glim geopolitical situation on the continent of Gallia.

As I am confident you are aware, the second attempt by the Aurarine Republic to decrease barriers between Gallian Nations – known as the Gallian Summit – did not provide beneficial results and in fact brought to light what the Republic feels are issues that may not be solved through diplomatic discourse. The failure of the Gallian Summit has seriously impacted Auraria’s strategy to engage in Gallia at a time when dialogue is all the more critical.

In a very short time, the puppet state in Polesia, the People’s Republic of Ostmark, and the People’s Burgundian Republic have all joined the ranks of the Rurikgrad Pact. This has brought the borders of the military alliance further into the heart of Gallia, and even more so, to the very border of the Aurarine Republic itself. In addition, the Grand Duchy of Furlanìe signed a Status Quo Treaty with Kadikistan, which the Republic believes grants Ivar unprecedented casus belli to intervene in Gallian affairs. Of course, these events, when added to the knowledge that the Marxist-Serazinist states of Serenierre and Asteria make up the bulk of the Republic’s remaining border amount to a significant crisis facing the Republic.

The bellicose nature of Serenierre and the Rurikgrad Pact’s ever-expanding border leads the Republic to feel confident that an armed conflict is ever more possible. In this armed conflict, Auraria’s ability to remain neutral will be questioned due to its geography. All in all, the Republic fears that armed conflict between Rurikgrad and Serenierre is one we cannot avoid, nor one we can fight.

Given the ideological similarities between Sylvania and Auraria, as capitalist Republics, Auraria is interested in convening a confidential meeting to further discuss the deteriorating situation on the continent.

We hope the Continental Republic will give a favorable response.

To The Honorable Alcides Cabello,

The situation in Gallia has not gone unnoticed by us in the Continental Republic, indeed the developments of the past months and years have given us a cause for concern. We are saddened that the nations of Gallia cannot throw off centuries of suspicion toward each other, but it is not surprising to us either. The world finds itself in the tight grip of ever growing alliances: DDI, ODS, Rurikgard, the Serazinist sphere the Aurarine people have a choice, submit themselves to one of these alliances or hope that they will respect your neutrality.

We will meet with you, however it may behoove your government to attempt dialogue with the DDI military alliance. Though your relations with the post-delegationist nations have been strained in the past, perhaps the realities of the Gallian situation can allow Auraria, Pohjanmaa and the Anti-State to look past these past interactions. To reiterate, meeting with us is not dependent on your willingness to open dialogue with the entirety of the DDI, but we are only one nation and though we are strong in our own right, not even Sylvania can stand alone anymore.
