"Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Our fears right now are justly magnified by the expansion of conflict in the former EF mandates in Himyar. It is not the business of the Holy See or of the One True Church to dictate the boundaries of polities, that is something that secular leaders must decide upon. But it is the concern of this Church and of all true believers the humanitarian situation that may emerge from these secular frontier changes. The world right now is going through many crises: the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Pannonian; the emerging humanitarian crisis in Himyar, and the recent environmental atomic catastrophe in Ostmark. The people of wealthy, industrialized nations must now take on the burden of addressing these concerns, as they have the resources to do so. As always the Holy See and the Citizens of Tibur open their doors to those who need aid, but our small city-state can only do so much. So we call on our Brothers and Sisters in Christ to fulfill their obligations to the refugee and to the displaced--and to, if they must, conduct war in a way that minimizes human suffering. There are those who are already doing this; we pray that they continue.
In terms of what Material Aid the Holy See will muster, we are now sending nuclear engineers from the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Pontifical University of Saint Anthony to aid the situation in Ostmark. I will also be reaching out to my counterparts in the Islamic world to see what aid we can provide in an interfaith capacity. Finally, but not last, we hope to expand our work on the ground in the former Pannonia to continue to aid those still fleeing the conflict there. Presently Cardinal Marcato, is there, conducting an investigation into whether or not heresies have been committed towards cruel ends. And, as always, the arms of the Mother Church are open: the Catholic Refugee Agency shall work double-time to offer aid all who need it."
