May 2023 Map Thread!
In the immortal and yet repetitive words of early 2000s American rock band Staind, "...and it's been awhile." To say this map update is overdue is one thing, but despite its tardiness, really there weren't very many changes between now and October of 2022. I want to credit everyone from the warmongers to the nation changers for making my absence not particularly difficult! In a rush to just get an update out there, nearly no new changes to the form of the map occurred. The biggest change is likely one that nobody would notice without my saying so, and that was a reduction of the intensity of the overlay filter. Someday in future maps I'll be removing the filter entirely, but that comes coupled with an entire change to the motif of the map and I haven't had time to realize that vision yet.
A few changes that may leave you with some questions:
Someday Xen will bless us with something more official link wise, but for now, we meet pCloud.com servers again! -- pCloud.com did not treat me well on this upload, so it's possible I go host shopping again, but for now that is a trivial matter!
In regards to pCloud, many have complained about the links in the past saying they have to make an account! Nope! Not true! Make sure you read all the small print and if I remember right on mobile you have to click download. The the newest file is perhaps large for phones though, so if you have a data plan on your phone that you have to worry about, don't say I didn't warn you! The file size can be found next to the file.

INACTIVITY & DISCLAIMER
Role play activity will prevent deletion from the map, there is no minimum activity needed to prevent removal as it is due to Mapmaker discretion, though an announcement of departure in the Absence Thread will excuse a drop off of activity. Prior to removal, the inactive player will usually be placed on the Inactivity Listing, allowing new players to assume their map spot should the player not return to in-character activity. The Mapmaker & Administration can remove, edit, add, or deny changes to the map based on existing rules or past lessons learned - clarification on the reasoning of these exceptional decisions can and will be given upon reasonable inquiry.

- The ocean is brighter, let me know if its too bright
- I received very little feed back on mountains... I've left them there, but not expanded them either.
- Alliance lines are still missing. They may return in a future update, but I'm personally not up to date with who is who.
- In an act of mapmaker tyranny I removed a nation... maybe two! This won't be habit, but after being gone for so long the most inactive got the boot. Some very inactive remain? Why? They are small and small inactive nations are not really something I care to trim.
- I think I got everything, but if I missed something, let me know!
