All nations are expected to respect the neutrality of the maritime banner of the Montedoran merchant navy and to respect the freedom of the seas. The Confederation of Montedoro believes that it possesses legitimate claims against the Empire of Pelasgia on its conduct in the Claret Sea. However, the Confederation has deemed membership in the Claret Sea Council to be beneficial to wider concerns involving questions of maritime safety. It is hoped that the organisation stands a valid voice for international mercantilism and does not devolve into a petty edifice for the worship of Pelasgian hubris.​

The Confederation of Montedoro condemns the acts of violence occurring in Nedernesie and we call on the Government of Nedernesie to address miscreants within their nation strongly. ​

Moreover, the Confederation has decided to disregard and reject the Pelasgian effort to take the maritime dispute to the CSC Dispute Resolution Tribunal, on account of a lack of procedural rules and uncertainty as to the impartiality of the forum.
