I think honestly it would be easiest to just incorporate a history of gas-related problems in the island. It already has a significantly lesser impact on your nation (after all, the international community does not care about Assad terribly much anymore).

I refuse to play storylines which are imposed on me. The manner in which this blatant harassment and coercion has been handled is akin to holding my hand as I type. This degree of creative control is unhealthy and I am going for a hard reboot. All storylines rescinded. Fresh start.

It’s disappointing that you do not wish to discuss this further or try to align your application with a very reasonable request that already allows you to avoid the major war criminal status, but if you feel this is your only way forward, then I am not going to stop you. It’s just unfortunate after the recent turnout in support for continuing the storyline of Serazinism.

It is not a discussion when the language of compulsion is used. "Must" and "Has to" being the key offending words. Friendly open discussions do not proceed in such a manner where unilateral diktats are dispatched. Just drop this now and look forward to what is the new story for Serenierre.

Mods, does this version of the forum not have the split option? It seems to me these posts are all off-topic and deserve their own thread.

Good point, @Hesperia.

And so far as the rest of the discussion: I encourage Belmont to take some time and think more about whether or not to throw Serenniere away as it is now. It’s basically an institution for its region and always draws mine and others interest. It’s always dynamic and cunning . . but also infamous for being bold.

I would have been open to your suggestions on how you believe best to incorporate the events into your history with the least disruption to your vision (and I’m of the opinion that I already gave you one such very elegant solution), but I understand that you were at the edge of greater revisions anyhow with this situation adding to your determination to change, so I hope your new nation is something that you’ll personally enjoy more.

There is a fundamental disconnect here. I was never going to include any event involving gassing. The constant emphasis on it makes no sense to me. There was no "elegant solution" only dictation masked by the hint of civility.

I was roleplaying an internal election cycle and trying to be a menace in Bourgogne and genuinely was taking the poll to heart but I hope I can make this clear, I will not be bullied into adopting a position which has no bearing in the reality of the map. Nor has anything special for the roleplay.

I know you will never see it but very much my hand has been forced, rather than being a friendly and open discussion, you were trying to strong arm. Hence, don't think I've taken this decision happily.

I have been forced to because of a systematic and organised campaign to coerce, bully, and harass. From as early as last year, I know some strong anti-opinions have been held against me and seething antagonisms run rife in the dark abyss of discord chats (I thought leaving discord altogether may be better but even that has not been enough), most probably stemming from my opposition to the Long Sea drama and my vociferous stance against the plop and drop style of superpowerdom sans roleplay as claimed by some from last year. If so, I'm sorry.

I wish you and your squad well. But now let me be.

There's no point. The die is rigged. Gallia is free. Go find a new punching bag.

I’m sorry you see it this way. Obviously the call for you to continue the dialog on how to make things with your 3.0 work has already been made and you do not feel it is an option to do so.

I do find it disappointing though that you wish to put this discussion to rest, then make wild accusations in the other thread. It forces me to reply, even though that’s clearly what you want me to stop doing.

Shutting this one down too, I’m available by PM if any of you think there is something we are not addressing with all of this, but good luck to Belmont and others trying to move forward!
