The courthouse in central Changywas one of the few modern buildings to crop up in the city center. Only 3 stories tall but sprawling, the ash gray building featured little thrills aside from the gargoyle rain spouts which were copied from the previous courthouse. Courtrooms were decorating identically with marble floors, waist-high wood paneling and racing green colored walls. The only outstanding pieces in the room were the witness stand and the raised seat of the judge who sat 3 feet higher than the prosecution or defense. A Burgundian flag hung above the main doorway.

Magistrate Houben read the Statement of Case aloud and addressed the representation in regards of his court room expectations; a normal Burgundian court procedure.

"We will allow no yelling or derogatory language. These actions are in contempt of court. There will be parliamentary decorum observed by both parties. As this is a District Civil matter and there is no jury, it would be wise for both parties to observe these simple behavioral rules" said Houben in his customary tone of arbitrariness.

"The plaintiff may issue an initial statement" said the Dean of the Court
