The government of the Great Southern Kingdom of Justosia will never forget how its Royal Armed Forces so easily crushed the Serenierren proxy forces that helped start their war of Red Menance aggression there in the first place. They are heroes who helped save the real, free, Kingdom of Occitania. Whom we still regard as our close ally. Hero too is our sovereign, HRM King Carlos Francisco II, Protector of Brecosta, for sending those liberators there in the first place.

We fully reject the laughable, baseless propaganda spewed by the Red Menance against our noble & enduring ally. Viva Justosia.

We thank His Majesty King Carlos Francisco of Justosia for his kind words. We will do everything we can to justify them.

We concur the assessments of the OSCR regarding the status of human rights in the Kingdom of Occitania. The current government of Occitania guarantees a sensible mix of social, personal, political and economic freedoms.

Furthermore, we consider it a bit grotesque that a government which used chemical weapons in a war and burnt down complete cities with napalm uses human rights as an argument to condemn other nations. The government of the Kingdom of Occitania was replaced after the war, but the person who 1. started the war and 2. committed war crimes is still in charge of Serenierre. The world should not forget that Serenierre won the war in Occitania by committing war crimes.

We have no idea what the Hon'ble Foreign Minister is referring to. The Villesen Government has more pressing priorities than trying to destabilise the schizoid kingdom of the south. Furthermore, at what point did Justosian forces engage with Serenien forces — we are quite perplexed by this statement. It has neither sense nor reason.

We find this statement to be hypocritical and most harmful. The Government of Eiffelland is misrepresenting facts to suits its own propaganda.

How can the Trier Regime claim that the Government of the Kingdom of Occitania was replaced when the devious "king" Julius Faure I still sits on the throne. Under the laws of the Kingdom, there is an absolute monarchy. The Treaty of Camp Hill did not establish a new constitutional framework for the Kingdom of Occitania. It simply granted Serenien suzerainty over western Occitania. The backward, feudal system of the Kingdom of Occitania can hardly bec considered sensible in granting freedoms to its citizens, who remain SUBJECTS to the King in a highly feudal and archaic societal model. Is the Government of Trier that blatant in its lies that it seeks to ignore established historical facts?

Furthermore, the Serenien Military did not attack civilian targets with any high performance morale affective weaponry. Any use of our arsenal of high performance morale affective weaponry was tactical and limited to insurgent positions. The record is clear. Serenierre did not commit any objectionable acts in the conduct of its military operations in Occitania.

Moreover, the rhetoric emerging from Trier is another example of irresponsible statecraft emerging from the sickman of Gallo-Germania.

With much affection,
Bernard Lavosnier

Serenierre started the war. That in itself was an objectionable act. The Serenien armed forces used napalm to burn down the city of Viasinde. Everybody in that city, both soldiers and civilians, burned to death. The Serenien armed forces used napalm against the civilians of Viasinde, and used nerve gas against soldiers. It is a mystery to us that Premier Martinique and her generals can still sleep at night. Both the use of napalm in Viasinde and the use of nerve gas on the battlefield are documented facts. The fact that Premier Martinique got away with those war crimes is nothing else but Siegerjustiz; the winner of the war absolved herself of her own evil deeds. Both the Serenien war crimes and Serenierre's own bad track record on human rights deny the Serenien government the moral right to say anything about the violation of human rights in other countries. As long as Western Occitania is still a protectorate of Serenierre, the people of Western Occitania and Serenierre still lack basic freedoms, among which the freedom of religion, the ethnic Burgundians in Ardèche are still oppressed because of their ethnic origin, and Serenierre is still a one-party state, which is a fact that turns the national elections periodically organised in that country into a farce, the Serenien government should remain silent about freedoms and human rights.

The OSCR conducted a solid investigation of the human rights situation in Occitania. This in contrast with the government of Serenierre, which mainly tries to steer the attention of the people away from its own violations of human rights.

"The rhetoric emerging from Trier is dangerous and entirely unfounded. The level of tactlessness that has defined geopolitical thinking in recent times is quite concerning. The same morally superior attitude was the undoing of the previous government which in a highly foolhardy manner destroyed the regional status quo by including the Kingdom of Occitania in the Trier Concord — a military alliance — after that country had made assurances to Serenierre of its opposition to the Eiffellander and, then, Retalian positions on the Retalian Sea.

Mme. Leverkuhn is a woman known for her less than diplomatic approach to the business of diplomacy. However, the recent statement is quite unhelpful. Perhaps, I should do her job for her and brief her on the history of the Seven Days War — if I remember correctly she was just an opposition member in those days.

There is not, to my understanding, a formal international law governing war beyond customs. We were confronted by militant guerillas and we used high performance weaponry tactically. This was always our policy. Regarding the human rights questions, I ask the Madame to read the Basic Law that has been drafted for the Protectorate of Occitania — obviously, only monarchist nations would see that proletarian affirming document as being against human rights.

The question of ethnic Burgundians being oppressed is ancient history. Is the woman reading newspapers from the 1950s? Yes, nationalist sentiment does exist in fringe communities but by and large, the Burgundian community in Serenierre is a valued presence and takes part fully in the political system of this country.

The OSCR is a curious organisation. I find it very interesting that it swoops in exactly when legitimate concerns are expressed about the Kingdom of Occitania. Obviously, this non-governmenal organisation is less an NGO and more a front — for who exactly, I think we can all surmise."

The Protectorate is leagues ahead in terms of protection of civil rights than the backward Kingdom of Occitania which continues to be ruled by the absolutist despot Julius Faure the First. It is well known the role he played in the Occitan Militar's policies and induction of child soldiers. And yet, the Eiffellander Government is aligning itself wholly with such war criminals.

While we are saddened to see that the people of Occitania are currently at the whim of supposedly great powers who are just throwing mud at each other currently in quite an impressive show of diplomacy and international relations dominated by the lack of professionalism... While we understand the view of the new Trier dominated alliance that they are irked by Serenien presence in Western Occitania, especially after they disrupted the pre-war geopolitical balance by inviting Trivodnia and Occitania into the alliance and provoking the 7 Day war.

Contrary to the pseudo-moral supperiority shown by Eiffelland, the Serenierre led administration has managed to set up a lustration law that forced the nobles linked to war crimes to abdicate from their positions, while also keeping the traditional authorities in place by having nephews replace them rather than abolish their institution. We are waiting for the same to be done in Eastern Occitania before any discussion about how free Occitans are can exist, because under the current system sponsored by Eiffelland, they may theoretically be free, but the war criminals are too.

Before we are to be condemned for doing anti-liberal propaganda, we will too have to condemn the situation in the Protectorate too, as it currently still is a military administration hiding behind a local, civilian one, but all this finger pointing just shows that both countries aren't interested in the betterment of the Occitans, but rather, it just creates a sophisticated form of ideological colonialism, under which the realities of feudal obscurantism and of a heretical, ossified society are still very pervasive.

We would like to present ourselves as a neutral, independent and intransigent group that can organise such a lustration and a legal cleansing of the Occitan Society, following the teachings of God, to really thus create a real new Occitania.

"Up to now, the government of Serenierre has always combined its statements with grave insults pointed at Eiffelland-Retalia. Under such circumstances, it is understandable that Minister Leverkühn sometimes returns the 'favour'. Commissar Lavosnier is reaping what he sows."

We see with regret that General-Secretary Part-Maimu overlooks the war crimes committed by the Serenien military. What Commissar Lavosnier euphemisticly describes as "using high-performance weaponry tactically", is in fact the use of nerve gas on the battle field, and the use of napalm against civilians. If those acts, especially the latter one, are not war crimes, then King Julius Faure of Eastern Occitania and the Western-Occitanian nobles forced to abdicate cannot be accused of war crimes, either. Our stance in this has nothing to do with considering ourselves morally higher than the Sereniens, but everything with us demonstrating the fact that the Sereniens impose higher moral standards upon others than upon themselves. You have to face the black marks on your own record, take the blame for them and reconcile with them first, before you reproach others for the black marks on their records. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

We also see with regret that General-Secretary Part-Maimu overlooks what happened during the period before last year's war. In the many years before the war, the Serenien government's foreign politics mainly consisted of insulting and threatening the countries northeast and east of it. We do realise that Occitania joining the Trier Concord changed the status quo in Gallo-Germania, but both the Trier Concord and Occitania made this move out of fear for Serenierre. The pre-war behaviour of the Serenien government cannot be seen separate from Occitania joining the Trier Concord.

General-Secretary Part-Maimu also mentioned Trivodnia joining the Trier Concord. We have to point at a mistake here: TheTrivodnian government did announce that Trivodnia joined the Trier Concord, but Trivodnia never joined the Trier Concord. The only thing that happened, was that Eiffelland and Retalia invested in Trivodnia in order to get the country on its feet from an economic perspective. But also here: Trivodnia ran to us because it felt threatened. By Kadikistan this time.

The athmosphere of fear that Serenierre and Kadikistan created and maintained in the countries between them is the cause that Occitania joined the Trier Concord and that Trivodnia looked for the support of the Trier Concord. The disturbance of the status quo just before last year's war is not the only reason why the war erupted. The war was also caused by the pre-war behaviour of Kadikistan and Serenierre. The world has to understand that.

We do kingly remind the Eiffellander government that there is no law covering the acts of war and no international authority to enforce any form of such law. Thus, the right way of describing it would be cruel, rather than war criminal. One cannot impose such international law as there is no way to enforce it without surrendering national sovereignty. The Bergenheimers tried to push for the disbandment of chemical weapons immediately after the war and surprisingly it is the Pelasgians that shut the whole project down by starting a domino effect condemning the project exactly of violating national sovereignty.

As for the Kadikistani and Serenien behaviour even before the war, we would, again, wish to remind the Eiffellander government of the plethora of Status Quo Treaties signed by Kadikistan with Virumaa, Gunnland, Elben and Pelasgia, promising and respecting that promise, to respect their sovereignty and their interests. In time it has been seen that Kadikistan is a reliable partner with whom peace can be achieved as long as the diplomatic dialogue is kept alive.

Keeping this in mind, we believe that Eiffelland's chance is this to see a new and better Occitania arise and that can come only through a lustration and we offer, as stated before, our services to see it happen.

Scientists Università Statale di Losena make 3D print of heart from human tissue

Scientists of the Università Statale di Losena managed to make a 3D print of a human heart from human tissue. The heart was printed from living human cells, and contained all the macroscopic and microscopic anatomical features of a natural heart. Cardiac surgeon Prof. Dr. Med. Alessandro Accardi, who coordinated the project, said during the press-conference: "We are probably the first who did this. This is a very important medical breakthrough in transplantational medicine." He demonstrated the procedure to the journalists during the press-conference.
Many research groups all over the world are investigating ways to grow human hearts or parts of human hearts in vitro; however, there is still much work to do before a completely working heart can be grown in vitro. One challenge is to "teach" the heart muscle cells in such a way that they can take up the pump function of a heart. Currently the cells do contract, but not in such a way that they pump like a heart. As soon as the hearts grown in vitro can do that, they will be tested as transplant organs, although in animals at first.
Prof. Dr. Med. Accardi indicated that hospitals all over the world may have organ printers at their disposal, "although at first they will print simpler organs than a heart. But 3Dprinting bone parts is something that is already done. A couple of years ago, a team from Köln replaced a part of the skull with a 3Dprinted version; nowadays they 3Dprint and implant arm bones and ribs, and are even considering to 3Dprint and implant leg bones".

Scientists Landesuniversität Altburg restore connections in brains of pigs butchered four hours earlier

Scientists of the faculty of medicine of the Landesuniversität Altburg managed to restore connections between brain cells in brains from pigs that had been butchered four hours earlier. They did not restore consciousness in those brains, but did manage to restore some brain cell connections. Neuropathologist Dr. Ingo Bärtschi, the team leader, said: "Possibly cell death in nerve cells takes place over a longer period than we originally thought. What we showed, is that cell death is a slow process that can be stopped and even reversed." The scientists put the brains into a bath with a specially developed fluid, and pumped the fluid round in a rhythm that resembled the blood pulse.
Dr. Bärtschi indicated that these results could shed a new light on treatment options for Alzheimer's disease and other degenerative neurologic diseases.

Scientists Landesuniversität Aachen demonstrate that there is no causal relationship between vaccinations and autism

In a study conducted among 600,000 people born between 1999 and 2010, epidemiologists from the Landesuniversität Aachen showed that there is no causal relationship between vaccinations and autism. A group of scientists published in 1998 in an article that turned out to be highly fraudulous that it had found a causal relationship between vaccinations and autism. As a result of that article, people tended to not vaccinate their children any more, leading to a drop in the vaccination rate worldwide, also in Eiffelland-Retalia. An investigation published in 2002 also indicated that there is no causal relationship between vaccinations and autism, but that investigation had some flaws. Therefore, it was decided to do such an investigation again.
Eiffelland tried to make the national vaccination campaign compulsory in 2005, but that attempt failed. Minister of Public Health and Welfare Erwin Waagemann indicated that "making the vaccination campaign compulsory is definitely on the table again".

Stock exchanges suffer a major hit from Long Sea Crisis

The stock exchanges in Trier and Altburg suffered a large hit from the Long Sea Crisis. The index in Trier lost 10% since the end of February, and the stock exchange in Altburg 8%. Also the Unionsmark depreciated. An observer from the Fuger Bank indicated that "the recent events in the Long Sea show how vulnerable this narrow sea strait is. A war fought in the western part of the Long Sea can close this important sea strait off. And then trade will go down."
This crisis hit Eiffelland-Retalia at a bad moment: It was just recovering from last year's war. The good news is that the banks are able to bear this setback; no new capital injections are needed.

Government announces extensions or railway lines in Retalia

Chancellor Rheinfeld indicated in his weekly press conference that Eiffelland-Retalia would invest in extending the railway lines in Continental Western Retalia. Existing lines will be widened from 2 to 6 tracks. Also new lines will be constructed. Chancelor Rheinfeld did not want to anser questions about the reason behind these extensions.

It is with regret that I have to notify you of the fact that Prof. Dr. Med. Accardi will have other duties during the health research symposium at the University of Monserans you are referring to.

Internal comment by Prof. Dr. Med. Accardi on the invitation from the dean of the University of Monserans: "Me talking on a symposium in Serenierre after my nephew died of Serenien nerve gas? No, that won't happen. I can't do that to my family-in-law. Furthermore, I don't look forward to a bunch of haughty and arrogant Sereniens considering me their tenant. But more in general, what makes them think that an Eiffelloretalian scientist would speak on a symposium in Serenierre, or even attend such a symposium?"

Neither Serenierre nor Kadikistan ever contacted us for a status-quo treaty. Would they have done so, we would have signed a status-quo treaty with them.

We do respect the good intentions behind the intention of the Independent Society of the Green Cross to reconcile, or "lustrate", between Eastern and Western Occitania. However, every attempt to reconcile or lustrate between Eastern and Western Occitania will be doomed to fail when there is no understanding for the fearful situation that Serenierre and Kadikistan created around Retalia, Eiffelland and Occitania before the war. We are not seeking for a condemnation of Serenierre and Kadikistan by the rest of Europe, but the world has to understand that this fearful situation, and this fearful situation alone, was the trigger for Occitania to join the Trier Concord, and the reason why Trivodnia intensified the contacts with Eiffelland and Retalia, and in the end wanted to join the Trier Concord.

MacLeods spice their lives up on the Spice Islands

Like we messaged earlier, the marriage between the Gunnish Countess MacLead and Jake Blackthorn is in a bad shape. It even remains to be seen to which extent it started well, because the Countess denied her husband access to the clan, leaving Blackthorn without a noble title. But especially after Blackthorn lost his seat in the Thing, and with that his power, the marriage deteriorated. Blackthorn started to see his mistress again.
In that situation, Countess MacLeod decides to go on a trip to Eastern Hymiar. As the traditions in Gunnland prescribe, a Gunnish woman cannot travel alone. She can only travel with either her husband or a male relative, who acts as her chaperone. Even when as a woman you are one of the most influential people in Gunnish society, you cannot travel alone. Of course this is even more sensitive when there are marriage problems. So the powerful Countess MacLeod asked her younger brother William MacLeod to accompany her. He agreed. But the two MacLeods didn’t board the private plane that took them to the Spice Islands alone. A third person, a young good-looking girl who would make the trip more interesting for the young William MacLeod, boarded the plane as well.
On the Spice Islands, William MacLeod and the young girl enjoyed each other’s presence. On the beach, sipping cocktails. In the sea, bathing around. At dinner, and in the club. At night, the young girl peeled the kilt off of the young Gunnish noble, and had the opportunity to discover that Gunnishmen indeed do not wear underpants under their kilts.

What happens if the chaperone needs a chaperone?

Indeed! The lady who had to be chaperoned takes her freedom!

The Azraqi prince Dalmar Filsan Tahiil is a descendant of the Ughaz of Haradhera, one of the Azraqi noble families in the carrousel of the Ivory Throne. Blessed with a gigantic fortune, he has an enormous village on the Spice Islands. He is known to have an interest in Nordic culture as well, especially the Gunnish culture. Be it for the whisky, or for something else. For the women? Fact is: He has a passion for Nordic women. Especially Nordic women with red hair.
This prince Dalmar saw Countess MacLeod on the island. He fell for her red hair immediately and hopelessly. He had to get this redhaired Gunnish woman, otherwise his life would be worthless. So he made his plans, and carried them out with a meticulous precision. He showed up in the resort where the MacLeods were staying like a prince of the Thousand And One Nights fairytales, abused the inattention of William MacLeod, who was completely occupied with his young girl, and went to Countess MacLeod with an enormous load of expensive gifts. The Countess rose to the bait, and fell into the arms of the Azraqi fairytale prince. Two extatic days followed. Prince Dalmar made the Gunnish countess feel as if they were flying around on a magic carpet. He himself had the feeling that he was flying to the Gardens of Allah on a magic carpet with his Gunnish countess.
After two days, the MacLeods travelled to Port Stanley, William with his young girl, the countess without her Azraqi fairytale prince. Does this mean that young male MacLeod was lucky in love and the countess not? No! The countess is still in love, and the prince is still in love as well. The romance will continue. And with that the drama. Countess MacLeod is married to Jake Blackthorn, who is furious about his wife’s love affair with an Azraqi prince. He will do everything he can to make life difficult to his wife because of this love affair. Divorce is only possible in Gunnland by means of an annulment of the marriage by the Church. That is a difficult and time-consuming procedure, with which Jake Blackthorn will never cooperate. Countess MacLeod awaits legal procedures when she returns to Gunnland, unless she gives up her Azraqi fairytale prince. She will have to choose between her love and her position in Gunnland. What will she choose? Schau! will keep you in the loop.

Biotech company Biopharm Research and university hospital Pietas in Trier announce positive results with therapeutic vaccine against HIV

In a press conference at the main building of the Pietas in city centre of Trier, the Eiffelloretalian biotech company Biopharm Research and leader of the department of infectiology of the Pietas Prof. Dr. Med. Gabriela Mertens-Bergsteiger announced that they are working on a therapeutic vaccine to really cure HIV-infections. Prof. Dr. Med. Mertens-Bergsteiger: "Currently an HIV-infection only rarely turns into full-blown AIDS, simply because we manage to contain the disease to such an extent that HIV-positive people are not even able to pass the disease on with a good antiviral therapy. But HIV-positive people will have to take medications for the rest of their lives. Strictly speaking, we still do not manage to cure the infection, only to contain it. We are still looking for a way to cure the disease, so that patients are not bound to medication after an HIV-infection."
Dr. Renate Kreuzer, owner and CEO of Biopharm Research: "One way to do so is a therapeutic vaccine. We mainly know vaccines as a tool to prevent diseases, but we can also use them as a tool to stimulate the immune system against an existing infection. This is also a strategy we investigate in oncology, by the way. We are currently investigating such a therapeutic vaccine against HIV. Of course three years ago we published the results of our Phase I and Phase II investigations in a scientific magazine. We are still conducting our Phase III investigations. Of course that leads to some complications: We cannot give patients with HIV a placebo, because without treatment their condition would deteriorate. Therefore, we follow the same procedures as in clinical research in oncology, where patients cannot be given a placebo, either."
On a question regarding existing medications to prevent HIV-infections and cure beginning HIV-infections, Prof. Dr. Med. Mertens Bergsteiger replied: "There is one thing we have to realise. Indeed, we already have the possibility to cure HIV-infections with the existing medications. In Eiffelland-Retalia, it is called the HIVMDP, the 'HIV-Morgen-Danach-Pille' or HIV-Morning-After-Pill. We in Eiffelland-Retalia use the combination medication HPOST from the Eiffelloretalian company Schwarzenberg in the HIVMDP scheme. HPOST has been available on the market since 10 years, and was developed especially for the purpose to treat a new HIV infection within 72 hours. However, HIVMDP only works when it is given within 72 hours after the event that led to a possible HIV-infection. After that, the HIVMDP does not work any more. And of course we have the HIVPRÄV, after 'HIV-Prävention' or 'HIV-Prevention'. That is the Eiffelloretalian Preventä-scheme. When people at risk for an HIV-infection take the HIVPRÄV regularly, they are protected against an HIV-infection for nearly 100%. The Eiffelloretalian HIVPRÄV scheme uses the HPREV combination medication from Schwarzenberg, specially developed for chronic prevention of HIV-infections. HPREV has been available on the market since three years."

Unionsstaatsanwaltschaft
drops defamation case against Minister Leverkühn

Several months after the Serenien journalist Sophie Menard filed a complaint for defamation against Minister Leverkühn, the Unionsstaatsanwaltschaft announced that it will drop the case. During a press conference, Unionsstaatsanwalt Bruno Schülze stated: “When you charge somebody with defamation or libel, you have to give evidence before the court that the statements you consider defamation or libel are incorrect and harm your reputation without reason or justification. Minister Leverkühn’s statement that Mrs. Menard would be too much biased against Eiffelland-Retalia and too much biased in favour of Serenierre to be considered a neutral journalist is indeed harmful to Mrs. Menard’s reputation. Then we have to ask ourselves: Is that harm justified? Is Minister Leverkühn’s statement about Mrs. Menard’s neutrality as a journalist correct or incorrect?
We investigated Mrs. Menard’s articles for various news media, as well as her statements on internet fora and on Twatter. And indeed, we took our time for that in order to form a good judgement and a good case before the court. We saw this recent , with reactions by among others Premier Martinique.
Good journalism demands that the journalist is neutral. We realise that 100% neutrality is very hard to achieve, but a good journalist should do everything he or she can to come as close to 100% neutrality as possible. Given Mrs. Menard’s recent twat, and given journalist contributions by her in the somewhat further past, we must conclude that Mrs. Menard does not even try to be as neutral as possible in her work as a journalist.
The fact that she writes for Affilated Press is the only piece of ‘evidence’ of her neutrality as a journalist that remains. That is not enough to base a charge with defamation on. Therefore, we drop the case.
And we go further than that. We are investigating whether Mrs. Menard’s complaint against Minister Leverkühn can be considered a false complaint, given her journalist contributions and her behaviour on Twatter.
In any case, It is a mystery to us that respectable news sources like Affiliated Press and the European Press Association accept and publish her journalist contributions. The level of her work is far below the level that news sources like Affiliated Press and the European Press Association demand.”

UHHG reacts on defamation accusations by Serenien media

The Unionsprüfungsamt für Humanmedizinprodukte und Humanmedizinische Geräte (UHHG) reacted in a press conference on the defamation accusations about the Serenien medical sector. Spokesperson Roberto Faleco indicated the following: “As you are all aware, we had an encounter with a representative of the Serenien Commissariat for health. As usual for a representative of the Serenien government, the person in question produced a series of insults. After that, the person in question demonstrated a clear lack of understanding of pharmaceutics and clinical research, and then bloated ‘we are the best’. Not really convincing.
In the past, we had many issues with Serenien medications. As an explanation, a tablet does not only consist of the medicinal substance, but also of many other substances. Those substances are needed to contain the medicinal substance in a tablet. As an example, if a medicinal substance is a positively charged ion, it is impossible to make a tablet of it unless you add negatively charged ions to it. Or if a medication is in a very low dose, you have to add some other substances to it so that the tablet is not too small to handle.
We saw multiple times that Serenien pharmaceutical companies combined the medicinal substances with inferior other substances in order to reduce production costs. In that way, they indeed make cheaper medications, but with more side-effects. We already mentioned the issue with cholesterol lowering medications from Serenien manufacturers which led to joint problems, but we saw many more examples like that. We will publish several reports on this issue tomorrow.
We will also publish reports describing the statistical problems we saw in several Serenien submission files, i.e. files applying for approval for commercial release. The file describing the example of problematic statistics we discussed earlier will be shown as well.”

Same-sex civil marriage possibe in Continental Eiffelland and Retalia from 1 June onwards

The Landestage from Continental Eiffelland and Retalia approved the laws legalising same-sex civil marriage. From 1 June onwards, gay and lesbian couples can marry before the law. Also adoption by same-sex couples as well as custody over children by same-sex couples are covered.
In Continental Eiffelland, Helgoland and Rügen, the marriage before the Tiburan Catholic Church, the Occitan Pagan marriage, the Jewish marriage and the Muslim marriage are also the civil marriage. Priests, Rabbis and Imams are also official registrars.
This does not work the other way round, however. A civil marriage is not a religious marriage. And of course the many religions are not obliged to recognise each other’s marriages. This also means that the various religions in Eiffelland-Retalia will not be obliged to close same-sex marriages.

Union government announces economic package for Eastern Occitania in cooperation with private companies

Minister of Economic Affairs Dr. Habil. Ariel Rubinstein announced in a press release that the union government will issue an economic package for Eastern Occitania in cooperation with Eiffelloretalian private companies. The large companies are involved in this initiative, but also smaller ones. An example of a smaller company taking part is SuitDesign. This company is selling taylor-made suits and shirts for which the measures are taken in its shops and then manufactured in Azraq; it will open several sewing workshops in Eastern Occitania. These sewing workshops will also work for DressDesign, a spin-off company from SuitDesign which makes taylor-made dresses. There will be more initiatives like that.
