Howdy everybody, I'm new to the forum at least:p. I'm new to Europe but have been playing since 2015. I'm a college student in good ol' Maryland, and I've lived there my whole life, hicks and all.
Välkommen! If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask!

Hi guys, Elbaron here! New and looking forward to RPing. :) I'm thinking of Rping a smallish Franco-Magreb sort of nation, mostly just dealing with internal procedures and having some cultural and economic links to other nations. Nothing too crazy. Looking forward to playing with you guys!

Oreet!

Long-time NS'er, prospective new European. I haven't done much RP with this account... in fact, I haven't done much RP in the last couple of years, truth be told, but I've been knocking around since early 2003, a few months after NS was created, on and off, so I think it's high time I give it a try.

I... probably don't need to state where I'm from! Currently working in a minor supporting role in the NHS, which is tremendous fun during a pandemic, so I think I need to get back into a fantasy world during some of my down-time.

Soviet Lancashire is intended to be a fairly small Marxist-Leninist state, based directly upon the historic county. Modern population will be in the region of 6 million, and the rather clunky planned economy will be dominated by heavy industry, from the factories of Manchester to the shipyards of Barrow, via the port of Liverpool, with a detour through the mills and brickworks of Preston, Oldham, Accrington, and so on.

I am not sure how to fit it all in to this region, so appreciate any input.

While floating around in the multiverse, I assumed a revolution usually set in the dying days of WWI, though I also toyed with an immediate post-WWII revolution, or the likes of the Peterloo Massacre and the Preston Strike of the C19th turning into full revolts when a certain Mr. Engels was living in the county and being visited by his friend Mr. Marx. The supposition was that, as those thinkers predicted, a Manchester Commune would stand where Paris fell partly because the towns of Lancashire were more industrial and less artisanal than Paris, and better able to turn their tools to arming their own communards.

So, I'd like to find somewhere that fits with a basically British culture, and ideally a suitable nation to have lost Lancashire to such a revolt (which, as I say, can be made to happen at one of many times from the early/mid 1800s to the mid 1900s).

I usually assumed that the nascent revolutionary state quickly associated itself with the Soviet Union, and that -despite being about twenty-times smaller- it had something to offer such a power due to taking so much modern British industry with it. So I would like to find a suitable partner/sponsor at least for the early days, whether that nation is still Communist or not, today (will we end up being an energetic little Cuba to their lumbering USSR, or a lonely Albania?)

Anyway, that should be more than enough to start with! Cheers!

Welcome!

Actually, I think that right now we don't have any Communist nations at all, so feel free to spread the revolution.

Welcome!

Normally we usually have one big communist nation at a time at least, just that isn’t the case right now. But I’m sure it will eventually happen again. Don’t let that stop you, though!

Hi girls and guys,

I am new here. Esbo (Elberon) invited me to check out the site. I am going to play Bergburg, which is a tiny country taking inspiration from Liechtenstein, Luxemburg and a hint of Switzerland. Unfortunately I do not have super much time on my hand, so I will mostly do some internal nation building, but I want to interact with a larger world sometimes and present a nice and pleasant small country to this Europe world.

Looking forward to writing with you!

Welcome! I had the chance to visit Bogor myself three years ago. Nice botanical gardens, friendly people! It sure is a nice country, Indonesia. Good to know you're Indonesian. You might could help me out sometimes... =p I have a second nation named 'Madaray', which is much inspired on Austronesian cultures (the Nusantara-feel). You live in Western Java, may I thus assume you speak Bahasa Indonesia and perhaps Javanese or Sundanese or anything? The main languages in Madaray are Balinese, Javanese and Bahasa Melayu. You'll notice the translations and transcriptions will be, well, amateuristically done so... =D =P

Oh i am actually half Sundanese half Javanese. I actually have a hard time speaking Sundanese myself so it seems a bit weird to some of my friends. Also its ok most people have a hard time translating from any Native Indonesian Language to English.

No, but they are gay, and almost ten years heavily in love with each other as if they were freshly in love. The neighbours complain when they make love.

EDIT: And they often make love.
