Dear Madam,
It is with great concern that we send you this present communique. It is no secret that a rivalry exists between the First Republic, especially between the Southern Constituent Republics and the Socialist Implarian Republic, which falsely labels itself as the Socialist World Republic. This rivalry becomes a contest of winning influence in the Clarencian and Thaumantic Oceans and in the continents of Echidna and Himyar.
It is also no secret that world communism is on the move, with Kadikistan and Xinhai invading Trivodnia and the Trier Concord, while Serenierre being ready to bring the fight to Gallia, the Kalahari and Long Seas and to protect their satellite state and its colony, even to Echidna.
It is clear to all of us that the stability of Gallo-Germania has been shattered and that the old status quo is dead. That is why, we cannot hope that the old international treaties can protect us anymore and that in those volatile times, old friends are now enemies and old enemies become friends. Pelasgia was a member of the Trier Concord, yet it is neutral thanks to the Status Quo Treaty is signed with Kadikistan. Even so, this cannot stop us think that in such times, the Marxist-Leninovists might forget of their barbarous sectarianism and shake hands with world republicans, thus creating an immensely threatening alliance between Xinhai, Kadikistan and Implaria.
As the world order is dying as more and more victims appear on all continents as a consequence of those wars, we understand that to keep Natalia, the West Clarencian and the Southern Thaumantic safe, we need to deter any sort of communist or even Trier aligned belligerent ships from entering the Northcott Channel, linking the Wadjet Sea to the Clarencian. Should Socialist Implaria wish to enter this war, it must be pushed to fight in the Implarian Ocean, Tephanon, Divine Sea and Kalahari, not in the Channel and the Wadjet Sea.
For that we want to proclaim the closure of the Northcott Channel for all non-civilian vessels of the belligerent countries, both the communist ones and the Trier Concord Ones. The Natalian Navy as of yet has eleven surface ships ready for this action, but should Socialist Implaria make a move and attack Pelasgia in its heartland through the Northcott Channel and the Wadjet Sea, we are sure that we could not deter them with our own fleet.
Should Socialist Implaria manage to take control of the Channel they can build up a force to threaten the Southern Constituent Republics too. That is why, we ask for the political support first, of the First Republic for the closure of the Channel to non-civilian vessels of the belligerent nations and afterwards for a joint mission of the Engellexic and Natalian navy to patrol the Northcott Channel and police the southern coasts of Himyar.
