Legión 14a withdrawn from Süd-Halgoland
Authored by Maria Luega-Antoide, March Seventh, Edited by the Subjuntancy of the Interior
Braunstadt - After nearly a hundred and fifty years of occupation by the Fourteenth Legion, one of the most noble formations existing within the Commonwealth, the former Kingdom of Süd-Halgoland will be allowed to it's own devices. For generations, the venerable legions of Coronado and Ferèzanno had warred against the Germanic peoples of the hills and river valleys of what is now East and Northern Ferèzanno prefecture, achieving a domination of the current territory of the Commonwealth- from meager beginnings of city states cradling the Legionary Sea.

The province, yet not having had prefecture status bestowed upon it even in all this time, is the only such administrative structure within the Commonwealth to bear such a status, and the only territory within the Commonwealth to bear a non-Coronadic ethnic majority. Occupied by the Fourteenth Legion during the wars against Wiese in the early half of the nineteenth century, it has remained the sovereign territory of the Commonwealth throughout all that time. However, in their great benevolence, the High Commissariat has deemed it necessary for the area to be granted a special status within the Commonwealth. Owing to the ethnic divide between the territory and the rest of the Commonweatlh, the nominal status of 'autonomous republic' has been granted upon the territory; pending agreements with the local governance and the High Commissariat to grant the status in more then just a name.

Officials and legislators from the Presidium have made nothing in the way of declarations or commentary regarding this, though the High Commissariat always operates under the full authority and jurisdiction of the Presidium of the Commonwealth; the latest troop movements being orchestrated in conjunction between the Army of the Commonwealth and the High Commissariats own indigenous command structure.

The Fourteenth Legion has been withdrawn outside of the official frontier of the territory, stationing directly outside and erecting a new primary cordon zone as is protocol. Jurisdiction over the border crossing and already existent cordon zones within the territory has been handed over to the Citizen Legions and the local law enforcement forces. With the exception of certain facilities upon the Eastern frontier, all the former military installations will be dismantled, with the other notable exception of the Mauricio Hernandez airfield, which will be refitted to serve Civilian personnel and aeroplanes. The withdrawal has not yet even completed, with remnants of the Legion remaining as to oversee these last few developments, and to aid the local militia's and enforcement agencies in settling into their new niches and occupations. Border crossings of a similar nature to international one's are being erected all along the provincial border, the bridge across the Rio Grande being a prominent one.

A date for an agreement has not yet been reached, though negotiations have been now going on for a period of three days.

Presidium condemns Oltremare deportations
Authored by German Rojan, March Seventh, Edited by the Subjuntancy of the Interior
Corpus Christi - In a recent hateful move by the government of Oltremare, thousands of Dominican Catholics are slated to be deported from the Kingdom as a result of a decree from the mad tyrant who presides over the misled nation-state. Noting the grave violation of civil rights and human freedoms, the Presidium unilaterally and unanimously drafted a bill condemning the act; the Coronadic embassy within Corpus Christi (the capital of Oltremare) being formally withdrawn in protest. The age of ethnic migrations and deportations was that of the Great War and it's immediate aftermath, such totalitarian reforms holding no place whatsoever in the contemporary era. The scapegoating of any ethnic group in an effort to conceal domestic issues is not a tolerable affront; itself plainly recognizable as a precursor to genocide itself.

The High Commissariat has issued it's own condemnation in addendum to the Presidium, stating that the citation of what can be considered isolated incidences and a wide ethnic generalization as a basis for massive deportation to be 'wholly inappropriate' and 'outside the constraints of international law'. As such, the High Commissariat also withdrew any diplomatic staff it had within the country, and urges all civilians currently within the state to return to the Commonwealth; offering free pre-paid flights to any citizens of the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth is fully prepared to accept any refugee's, both religious and political from the Kingdom of Oltremare; said a spokesperson for the Presidium earlier this morning in Tempestad. All Dominican Catholics and other ethnic or religious minorities from Oltremare are welcome within the Commonwealth, and will be granted residency within the Commonwealth under a refugee basis, with any of them capable for applying for citizenship within the normal time frame. A poll taken by the Noticias Mancomunidad within Rosario indicates that 89% of all citizens whom participated in the poll would be keen to see further action taken against the government of Oltremare, numerous parties within the Council of Nations already attempting to force measures through against the Kingdom. It is expected that the Presidium-representative to the Council, the former Air Marshall- will advocate a similar policy, and press for sanctions against Oltremare.

The Presidium is currently in debate regarding any assets that it or the High Commissariat may hold within the Kingdom, with a final resolution likely being adopted regarding the matter by tomorrow morning.
