At six o' clock this morning, the President was shot in the head, and died instantly. The funeral will be public, and held on Friday. General Sebastian Sunter has been named Transitional Leader by the National Congress, and has announced that suspects are already being apprehended, and the culprit will be found soon.

The Worker's Party Gains Popularity Amongst Indigenous

The Worker's Party may actually gain a formidable percentage of the National Congress this next election. As poll results show that almost all of the Indigenous peoples of Matanzas are showing massive support for the Worker's Party.

General Sebastian Sunter Announces Culprit

Earlier today, General Sebastian Sunter announced that Hidalgo Contreras has been found guilty of the President's assassination. However, Hidalgo Contreras has fled, into the Fresca mountains with a group of armed Communists. The military is giving Contreras till Christmas Eve to turn himself in. Come 12 a.m. December 25, The military will move in on the criminals.

Were Did the Weapons Come From?

The Intelligence Ministry has announced that it is suspected that the weapons were smuggled in from the Communist State Havenshire. It is entirely possible that there are thousands of more armed extremists. An increase in funding to Law Enforcement may be a necessity to ensure order.

Corruption in the National Congress?

The Intelligence Ministry has declared that there is over 100 Million Certificado de Plata's unaccounted for of National Congress funding. It is suspected that the National Congress members have been slipping themselves extra money for years. A further investigation is beginning.

The People's Republic of Havenshire will neither confirm nor deny the allegation that it has been involved in weapons-smuggling to the state of Matanzas. We remind the press of the State of Matanzas that it is also entirely possible that those it categorises as "extremists" may simply be people excerising their right to protest the repressive measures of the Matanzan regime, and that no evidence exists that they are doing this in any other means than peacefully.
