The Ostateczni Mistrzkowie Walki (OMW) [Ultimate Fighting Champions], is a mixed martial arts association based in the Kingdom of Międzymorze, and is a subsidiary of the Royal Sporting League, operated under the direct aegis of the Crown of His Most Catholic Majesty, Król Kazimierz V Krzyżewski-Matejko.
The OMW can trace its lineage directly to the folk-wrestling and kick-boxing styles of the ancient Khazars, and more recently from the systematized unarmed martial arts that were imported to the Kingdom by the Jiuzhou, in various cultural encounters in the past three hundred years. Born of this marriage of widely varying styles, the collection of modern Międzymorzan martial arts, known collectively as "mixed martial arts," has been wholeheartedly accepted into the modern cultural macrocosm of the Kingdom- and has since the first decade of the Twentieth Century been enjoyed as a spectator sport.
The OMW itself was granted Royal Accreditation as a legitimate sporting league in 1995, when retired Army Colonel Stanisław Dajszak, a noted Special Forces personal combat trainer purchased the rights to two defunct organizations of a similar, but wholly private nature. Formulating a strictly standardized training and bout format to replace the often haphazard and inhumane nature of the previous two organizations, Dajszak was able to bring his organization into the realm of moral acceptability, in the eyes of both the Royal Council for Sportsmanship, and the Sejm as a whole, and was granted legal authority to promote fights within the borders of the Kingdom as he saw fit.
Since its inception, the OMW has become the single most popular sporting venue in Międzymorze, and has held a number of high-profile matches in nearly every other member-state of the LFS, and is currently looking for avenues to expand its viewership and competition base on a truly unrestricted and international level.
As such, the Board of Governors of the OMW, under the direction of (ret.) Colonel Stanisław Dajszak will be accepting applications from foreign fighters not currently affiliated with the Royal Sporting League, provided that they meet the same basic requirements as domestic fighters. Fighters found to be acceptable within these guidelines will be matched against opponents for the upcoming OMW 48 pay-per-view event, which is expected to air internationally in late December, and may be licensed to foreign media affiliates, as per request and contract settlement with the Royal Sporting League, and the OMW.
