Ostmarkische Metallwaren - und Maschinefabrik AG
Ostmarkische Metallwaren - und Maschinefabrik AG (often abbreviated as OM) is the state-controlled defense contractor of the People's Republic of Ostmark. It is specialized in the production of multi-purpose assault rifles ranging from regular forces weaponry to special forces variants. Sticking to Grasserism's principle of economic self-reliance, OM-MF's production is entirely based in Ostmark and the resources used in the process are also locally produced.

The most famous and reliable product of Ostmarkische Metallwaren is the OM-Sturmgewehr (OM-Assault Rifle) in its multipurpose variant. It is a versatile and cheap weapon and currently serves as the main assault rifle of the Volkswehr. The materials used for production range from domestically produced steel to wood. It uses 7.62 x 39mm ammunitions. All magazines are interchangeable with the different variants of the OM-Sturmgewehr to maximize the efficiency of combat operations during a situational lack of ammunition supply.

For those who are not afraid of investing in their defensive and offensive capabilities, Ostmarkische Metallwaren - und Maschinefabrik AG offers a wide array of two armoured vehicles specifically built to adapt to any combat situation and terrain. After decades of scientific research and experimentation, OM-MF revealed the Panzerkampfwagen Kobra 76 Main Battle Tank and the Sonderkraftfahrzeug 81 Infantry Fighting Vehicle. True to the principles of Grasserism, the K-76 and SDK-81 are products of the hard working employees of OM-FM manufacturing plants. Customers who choose the K-76 will also receive a 1-20 replica of the famous Volksmarine Galaktische Sternenzerstörer 2300 (People's Navy Galactic Star Destroyer 2300) from the popular sci-fi movie "Domestically Produced-Iron Sky - Ostmark Strikes Back".

The layout of the Panzerkampfwagen Kobra 76 (abbreviated as K-76) is conventional, with the main armament comprising a 100mm rifled gun. The K-76 serves as the Main Battle Tank of the Volksarmee. The K-76 combines a high velocity gun with exceptional long-range endurance. The K-76 has a fully tracked, five-road-wheeled chassis with a low-silhouetted hull and a dome shaped turret. The vehicle has a fully tracked, five-road wheeled chassis with a space between the first and second road wheels and no return rollers. It has a low-silhouetted hull with a dome-shaped turret mounted over the third road wheel. The 100-mm rifle-bore main gun has a bore evacuator at the muzzle. A 7.62-mm coaxial machine gun and 7.62-mm bow machine gun are also mounted.

K-76s with "bra armor", semi-circular add-on armor, have turret protection increased to 330 mm (KE) and 400-450 mm (CE). Other improvements available include a hull bottom reinforced against mines, better engines, rubber track pads, and a thermal sleeve for the gun. The 1K13 sight is both night sight and ATGM launcher sight; however, it cannot be used for both functions simultaneously.

It is most effective against light to medium armor vehicles. The basic ammunition load for the main gun is 43 rounds. External fuel cells make the tank very vulnerable, as does its thin armor protection. The K-76 has a limited ability to depress the main gun, hindering the tank's fires in defilade from high ground. In addition the gunner's primary sight is slaved to the main gun, which does not allow the gunner to acquire targets in a hull-down posture.

The Sonderkraftfahrzeug 81 (often abbreviated as SDK-81) is a tracked armoured infantry fighting vehicle (IFV). It is designed to carry the infantrymen, engage in combat and support the dismounted infantrymen by fire when they fight on foot. Introduction of tactical nuclear weapons demanded a wider dispersion of troop formations on the battlefield without compromising the firepower of even small subunits. To solve the problem, infantry units must have been provided with own fire support weapons.

The SDK-81 is fitted with a one-man turret. Main armament of the SDK-81 IFV is a 73 mm Model 2A28 smoothbore, low-pressure, short-recoil gun which weighs 115 kg. This is fed from a 40-round magazine to the right rear of the gunner. A 7.62mm PKT machine gun is mounted coaxially to the right of the main armament. Mounted over the main armament is a launcher for a Bremmer 9K-11 OM-FM AT-1 'Sagger' wire-guided ATGW. One missile is carried in the ready to launch position with a further two missiles in the turret, these are loaded via a rail through a hatch in the forward part of the turret roof. A further two missiles are carried in the hull.

The hull of the SDK-81 IFV is made of all-welded steel which provides the crew with protection from small arms fire and shell splinters. The armour of SDK-81 provides complete protection against 12.7 mm over the front of the hull. The driver sits at the front of the hull on the left side and has a single-piece hatch cover that opens to the right. The commander is seated behind the driver and has a cupola that can be traversed through a full 360º. The troop compartment is at the rear with the eight infantrymen seated back-to-back, four down each side of the hull. They enter and leave by two doors in the rear of the hull which have integral fuel tanks (60 liters in the left door and 70 liters in the right) and are hinged on the outside. Each door has a day vision device and the left door has a firing port. Over the top of the hull are four roof hatches, two each side, which are hinged in the centre and can be locked vertically. There are four firing ports in each side of the hull and four heated day periscopes each side of the roof for aiming.
