Mammoth Demonstrations in Lounamaad: The Vasakpartei, the Party of the Left has organised the Marxist-Leninovist Worker's Trade Union, together with Kadikistanophile organisations and have managed to block much of the centre of Kuressaare, Kerdla, Raasikuu and Vaatsa as they were protesting against the Trier Concord, the coup d'etat in Loago and the recent events in Viru politics, which they condemned for slowly rolling back the progressive reforms, bringing back the old pre-1985 fascist dictatorship. More than 150,000 people have been mobilised in Kuressaare, followed by 130,000 in Raasiku, the main city supporting the Party of the Left, 50,000 in Vaatsa and 20,000 in Kerdla. Analysts have stated that such demonstrations show how popular the Party of the Left and the Kadikistani model truly is, as not even the National Democratic Union managed to bring more than 100,000 people in a protest.

Plans to bring Loago back in line: The National Security Council has stated that the White Navy might be deployed to Maseru to try to bring back the authority of the elected government. As of yet, nothing is set in stone, but the government will not recognise the recent takeover, as many have characterised the new government of Loago as emanating from the Viru Himyari Company, being in its truest sense a corporatist state. The government as of yet has condemned the death of Loagan democracy and the derailment of western Himyar's only native ruled democratic nation and its descent into military despotism headed by a white dominated officer's corps.

Government offers to sale its VHC shares: As a reaction to the Loagan coup d'etat, the Viru government has decided to put on sale its 20% of the shares in the Viru Himyari Company. Chancellor Koit Sisask has declared that the government will break all bonds with the Company, after its Kuressaare headquarters have been closed in the aftermath of the audit in which high ranking members of the company have been accused of forming right-wing groups which were conspiring against the state.

Phoney war in Gallo-Germania: After the initial attacks, the intensity of the fighting has been greatly reduced.

Eili Kapp: Good Evening, dear listeners. The time has come for today's most important program, the Weekly Debates. Today, we have two extremely important guests. Here with me are the Chancellor of the United Republic, Mr. Koit Sisask and his opponent today is the Chairman of the Party of the Left, Jaak Raud. Today we have a special show, thanks to the importance of our guests, so instead of discussing just one subject, we will concentrate on a major question, the legacy of the Beckerist Regime in Virumaa and an analysis of the current communist movements in Virumaa. Mr Sisask, Mr Raud, welcome to Radio Boreal.

Koit Sisask: Thank you.

Jaak Raud: Good to be here.

EK: As the subjects we have are... dense, I would say that we should tackle them right on. First, the Beckerist regime. What has Virumaa learned from it?

KS: Sixty two years ago, the Prometheists have depleted the energy of this country by sending forces to Gunnland, Loago, Cabaon, Milesia, Cymru. They have destroyed this country and have yielded to the pressure given from the Leninov regime in Kadikistan, thus destroying the Kingdom and creating a communist regime. That regime has brought in the end a war in the north, and the death, shall we say, of the colonial empire, as after the regime fell, in 1958, the National Syndicalists have barely managed to regain control of the country and have barely managed to also keep Loago and Cabaon under the Union.

JR: Things are much more complicated. The Socialist Republic of Virumaa has managed to end the escalation of an urban guerrilla between the Leninovists, or what today are called anti-revisionist communists and the government. Roman Becker has brought an end to the foreign expeditions of the Viru army and saved the country's economy, which was close to collapse. This was followed by the huge investments coming from Kadikistan. Two suburbs of Kuressaare, Pirita and Ida, the town of Raasiku received funds to create a modern sewer system and the three mainlines which connected Kuressaare to the high north have been build using Kadikistani funds. The civil war was brought by the fascists and monarchists and the north was regenerated by Kadikistani funds.

KS: I would say that we give the Kadikistani too much credit for this. Much of the regeneration came with the National Syndicalist regime.

JR: The NS regime has continued what Becker has started, economic wise. Currently, the Viru economy still is dominated by state owned companies which were created by Roman Becker. Even now, the Viru state is the most powerful and biggest employee, as around 65% to 70% of the workforce is working in state owned companies. All those started and were developed by the Beckerists and by the Party of the Left.

KS: Even so, if we really want to take it on this road, we should at Calidia. That country is exactly how Virumaa would have looked like today if we would have kept the communists in power.

JR: Ignorance truly must be a bliss in the National Democratic Union. Calidia has a strange model of development, as it was ruled by rejectionists, under Arvo Maimu. Much of its resources were diverted towards the military. No, the problem now in Virumaa isn't an economical one. Its a social one. Day by day, we see the skeletons of the past returning back to power. Today, we might go to sleep in the United Republic, but tomorrow, under this government, we might wake up in the Social Republic, where abortion, homosexuality and divorce were banned and church attendance was compulsory.

KS: And yet, the only alternative seems to be the Party of the Left, which in its own program states that it should be the only active party is a socialist country. We should outright ban a party that promotes the idea of dismantling our democracy.

JR: Democratic Centralism is up and running and from the looks of it is much more efficient than the party democracy inside the NDU. Plus, there is no one in this world worthy enough to truly say which democracy is better and which is not. To our west, Ivernia was for decades a fascist dictatorship. To our south, Elben is a traditionalist monarchy. Gunnland is a mix between a traditionalist monarchy and a one party state. Serenierre, Kadikistan and Xinhai are people's democracies. In Himyar, its even more amusing, as the only semi-democratic state which was created from the ex-colonies, Loago, was toppled by a military regime just this week and the self-righteous democracies of the Trier Concordat have immediately jumped to support and recognise that regime. So, there you have it.

EK: Gentlemen, I would prefer not to intervene to calm you down. I would like to move to the second subject, the Party of the Left and its support.

KS: It is tragic that we have to see a political movement stating that they would dismantle our democracy be so strong and having such big chances to become the main opposition party.

JR: Declaring that we will disband the democratic system is pure demagogy. We will reform it and create a true people's democracy organised under the tenets of democratic centralism. But again, the question is about how the Party of the Left managed to become at 1 million members the biggest party in Virumaa. We simply presented our program. The difference comes from how the NDU interacts with the electorate, compared to Vasak. While you are telling people about the importance of democracy, the standard of living is falling. While you are rambling about the colonial empire, the education and healthcare in Virumaa is in shatters. The people which support us understand that all those calls for capitalist democracy have nu substance when there is no food in their bellies and they go to sleep fearing tomorrow. We will offer something as simple as it is important. We will offer stability. What the Party of the Left promises is that when a Viru worker will go to sleep, he will know that his kids will go tomorrow to school and enjoy a high quality system, he or she will go to work and receive a good salary and there will be no fears for tomorrow. That is what we offer. The people want peace and stability. That is what the people want. That is what we will offer.

KS: The problem is that the desperation of today might bring future problems. The world is at war. Chances will surely come in the world. Kadikistan might fall in three months. If the communists will come to power, they will create a fake economic system which in 10 years at most will collapse and that will destroy everything that has been done in this country in the last century.

The world seems increasingly torn apart by conflict as the forces of reaction and capitalism seek to expand themselves for the sake of greed. We see in the Party of the Left a shiny beacon of hope in the Scanian North, a region so often plagued by Ivernish fascism, Viru National-Syndicalism and even social-capitalism. The Viru Marxist-Leninovist mass movement illustrates that the successful Kadikistani ideological, socio-economic recipes are still popular and for good reason. The ideological path followed in the Kadikistani Union has led us to become one of the world's great defenders of balance with a growing economy that generates wealth by the Kadikistani people and for the Kadikistani people. We believe it is only a matter of time before more of the Viru realize that their best moment in history was that under the Brilliant Leader Roman Becker. We hope that soon they will join the free world once again. As always the Party of the Left, the largest Marxist-Leninovist opposition party besides the Pelasgian DKKP, will enjoy the full support of the Kadikistani Union and the International.

Terrorist attacks in Kerdla and Kuressaare. Rebbe Ott Sester targeted

Two bombing attacks have taken place in Kuressaare and Kerdla today, provoking 22 casualties and damages up to 500 million Krone. The attacks were claimed by the Radical Action Front (Radikaalne Tegevus Ees), a rejectionist communist terror group which has been active in the 1970s and early 1980s. The group had links with the Calidian government and is rejecting the reformist approach of the Kadikistani government. The members of the group have been for more than forty years on the Viru government's most wanted list, but since the fall of the fascist regime in 1985, the group entered a period of hibernation.

The attacks of today have been claimed by the "Arvo Maimu Commando" and the "Ratko Leninov Commando", the first attacking the great synagogue in Kerdla and half an hour later, a bomb exploded at the headquarters of the Mihkel Vaino Foundation. The attack in Kerdla was targeting the head of the Sester hasidic dynasty, Rebbe Ott Sester. He has been the source of political attacks against communism and Kadikistan especially now with the war between the Trier Concord and the Rurikgrad Pact taking place in Gallo-Germania. The Rebbe has even managed to organise a force of 800 volunteers from the Jewish communities from Virumaa which was to be sent to Trivodnia to support them in the fight against Kadikistan.

The second attack was organised against the headquarters of the Mihkel Vaino Foundation. The organisation was created in 1999 and was named after the State Elder and Chancellor of Virumaa during the National Syndicalist regime between 1957 and 1985. The foundation is a think tank promotic corporatist economic reforms, social conservatism, and far right politics. The preliminary investigation of the police has ruled the possibility that the foundation was targeted because they sent groups of activists to Imavere to stop the unveiling of the left-wing statues. The same men would have probably participated in the street fights which ensued in the aftermath.

In the bombing in Kerdla, five people have died and fifteen have been wounded, while in the attack in Kuressaare, one person has died and another has been wounded. The authorities have given no news regarding the health of the Rebbe.

"It is a dark time when we see that forces fighting for both of camps in the Great War have decided that Gallo-Germania is a theatre too small and they want to turn Virumaa into a battleground too. The neutrality of this country must be kept for the sake of us all and for that I will decide in the next days if the state of emergency wound need to be instated or no. We have been attacked by nationalists, communists and capitalists from all sides. In the end, Virumaa but be defended. She must remain multinational and pluricontinental," stated Chancellor Koit Sisask.

State of Emergency issued

In a press conference organised this morning, Laura Lepp, the State Elder of Virumaa, together with Koit Sisask, the Chancellor of the United Republic have issued the official commence of the state of emergency in the country. The two haven't responded to the questions of the press at the conference, as they left immediately after they announced the new status.

The state of emergency at siege level brings the harshest changes in the constitutional and judicial life in the country. The parliament has been reduced to a consultative group (which has the right after a year to vote for the revocation of the emergency), the police and State Security Administration have been put under the direct control of the Chancellor, while the White Army under the direct control of the State Elder. With it, a curfew from 10 pm to 6 am is in effect, with only the military and police being allowed on the streets. Thee political parties are all put in "hibernation", all of them being required to open their headquarters for regular inspections from the authorities. Under this new situation, the police has the right to inspect and arrest even without a warrant and even capital punishment is lawful again.

The government stated that all this has been done to save the neutrality of the country and its multinational and pluricontinental status. The emergency has been issued by the government so that events like the ones in 1957 can be avoided by a quick operation by the authorities, which Chancellor Koit Sisask has called "surgical strikes against the Radical Action Front and any kind of organisations which are threatening the constitutional status quo of the country". While this doesn't specifically name the Vasakpartei as a target for the government, in the speeches Koit Sisask held in the last weeks before this, he named the program of the Vasakpartei a threat for the constitutional democracy of Virumaa, as the party is openly calling for the creation of a one-party state and a "people's democracy" which functions through its democratic centralism. The press couldn't get a hold of Jaak Raud, the Chairman of the Vasakpartei.

When asked about the safety of the High North Status Quo Treaty, Chancellor Koit Sisask stated that the government of Virumaa does not violate it, as the status of emergency has been decreed after the attacks of the Radical Action Front. State Elder Laura Lepp stated that in reality the Status Quo Treaty has been violated by the communist groups which have rose in size so much that they have become a threat to national security. While the government as of yet didn't said anything about the country's relations with Kadikistan, Koit Sisask still continued to proclaim the neutrality of the United Republic, "a war in Vaalbara and the Gothic Sea would be the last thing both we and Ivar wish," he concluded.

Ultimatum for Loago: The government has issues an ultimatum for the unlawful government of usurpers in Maseru, giving them a week to return power to the elected officials, before military operations against the rebels are to commence. As of yet around 30,000 Viru citizens have preferred to leave Loago and return back home. The threat of civil war in the state increases by the day.

The Army is with us! Say no to fascism
On the politicisation of the armed forces and their role in the toilers' revolution
The formation of a provisional government​

"The 21st Century will be Socialist or it won't be at all," said Roman Becker as the righteous forces of the working class were being ambushed in Kuressaare in 1958, starting an era of repression of the toilers in the name of religious obscurantism. Then, the brilliant Roman Becker said it: victory will come, not immediately, it will come in the 21st century. It may come relatively late for him and his contemporaries, but when it will come, it will be total. That is what gave us our passion back in 1985, to destroy the National Syndicalist Regime, this is what gives our passion now to defeat the resurgent fascists.

Fascism has lingered in Virumaa even after the fall of the regime in 1985. That is why even today, the economy is dominated by corporations and the governments still proclaimed the false theories of class collaboration, forcefully uniting together the associations of employers with the trade unions. The people were fed with "religious morality" to keep them down, as the fascists were hoping to use it as an opium. They were wrong. The people of Virumaa will not stand by and see their country become again the worst example of the bourgeois dictatorship, ready to become the staging ground of colonial imperialism subjugating the peoples of Himyar.

The Great War which started in Gallo-Germania isn't a war in the sense the bourgeoisie understands it. It isn't a geopolitical conflict between the socialist and monarcho-capitalist states. It is in reality the militarised form of the world revolution. It is the duty of the already established socialist states to aid the oppressed workers from the monarcho-feudal-capitalist states and liberate them.The war may have started by the ascension of Occitania into the Trier Concord and the creeping disappearance of Trivodnian neutrality, but in reality, what motivates the soldiers of Kadikistan, Xinhai and Serenierre isn't the struggle to dominate other nations, but the idea that in Occitania, Trivodnia, Retalia and Eiffelland are toilers that work huge hours per week for a meagre wage, which are oppressed by the capitalists which are ready to send them to the slaughterhouse while demonising the socialist states in the hopes that they will fight against their class comrades.

In this extremely volatile environment, the crypto-fascists of the National Democratic Union have decided to show their real faces as they proclaimed the return of the dictatorship by issuing the state of emergency. The people have said no to that, but the intervention of the army was necessary. The Declaration for the Defence of Democracy is what truly gives substance to the word "democracy" as it truly is put in the hands of the people by none others than the soldiers themselves. All armies defend nations. Bourgeois armies defend the capitalists inside the nations, while People's Armies defend the people living in a nation; and what is a nation if it's not the people living inside it? That is why we should all be proud of our army.

On the 20th of December 1957, Roman Becker rode on the back of a tank from the borders of Ivernia where he was defending Virumaa in the face of fascist aggression and came to Kuressaare proclaiming the People's Republic. He started a revolutionary process. He gave the soldiers a political ideal to follow. Every emancipated toiler should now how to hold a gun to defend its new status, but what are the soldiers, if not the elite which is tirelessly trained to defend the toilers and their interests? The Beckerist model and ideal for what an army should be seems to have survived and found its place alongside the traditions of the Viru Army. That is why, a few days ago, the fascists are crying wolf, saying that a coup d'etat was organised. That is why the emancipated peoples of the world with the Viru toilers first, know that in reality that wasn't a coup, but the signal for a revolution.

A short but intense revolution. Koit Sisask resigned, knowing that there no one ready to take up arms to defend him and his capitalist theo-fascist policies. The Parliament has received its lost rights back and has empowered the Party of the Left (Vasakpartei) to lead as a vanguard party the provisional government, under Jaak Raud. It is our duty now to see that the 1957-1958 episode will not repeat and that once we see ourselves liberated and on the path towards socialism, we mustn't stray. The Anti-Fascist Committee of the Viru, German and Yiddish Toilers of Virumaa is saluting the new government of the Vasakpartei and its Chairman, Jaak Raud and hopes for the quick adoption of the 1957 Constitution, so that we can see the People's Republic rise us again.

Economical revolution: The workers in Kuressaare have occupied the headquarters of the Vaher Corporation, asking for the dismantling for the corporate economical system and the disbandment of the Association of Employers. Vaher is a conglomerate specialised in the auto industry. The corporation has three factories, one in Kuressaare, where they produce auto parts and engines, another in Kerdla where they assemble the sedan models of Vaher 9-1 and 9-2 and the 9-5 SUV and another in Vaatsa, where they assemble the Vaher 500 and 520 trucks.

A Golden Past for a Golden Future
On primitive communism, the return to the roots and the future development of socialism
The future constitution to be voted​

Communism is as old as humankind and is an intrinsic part of human nature as is kindness and solidarity. Communism has been a part of the life of the Viru people since the beginning of history. Karl Marx has analysed the works of the Harkaner and Viru ethnologists Veres Flórián and Ivari Rootare as they analysed the most conservative and traditional elements of the Yamalian society and comparing their findings with the folk tales and mythology of old Virumaa. They found what Marx called Primitive Communism. Tribal democracies, with no leaders, working together and sharing all the goods they hunted and gathered. "Should the Virunians look back and find their roots, they have the chance to become the first to take on the path towards communism," concluded Marx his analysis.

The prehistoric Fennic and Ugric peoples are known for their communal tribal democracies and their respect for the community. They have functioned through much of their history without appointed leaders, but with the voice of the people. They have hunted and gathered and put everything together to share it to everyone, as the old Viru proverb says: "No work without bread, no bread without work". We can see in much of the Viru folktales how all able bodied men and women worked together to obtain food, their produce were shared, the old, weak, ill or infant was helped. What is surprising is that it might be possible that this society survived the neolithic revolution thanks mostly to Maausk, the indigenous religion of Virumaa. Calling it a religion would be a bit too much, as it isn't institutionalised and it doesn't have priests. It is a belief system that only borders on spirituality and on nature worship. It is a system which teaches that humans should take nature as an example and respect it. There is no surplus which is confiscated by greedy capitalists or landlords in nature, there are no classes or castes in nature as developed as in the feudal and capitalist human society. Of course in herds and packs, there are alpha males and females but we, as humans are biologically and psychologically built to seek to help our peers and to create a sense of solidarity, respect, fraternity and equality. Maausk is what has kept the Virunian people in a primitive communism even if around us, the neolithic revolution and later, the bronze age, classical age and the middle ages have created classes upon classes of leaders which were legitimising themselves as theonomes, leading in the name of God. Abrahamic religions are what have solidified and ossified those monstrous abominations. Maausk does have Gods and spirits, but again, they are equal and they are mostly limited to being characters in folktales, not entities which you actually worship.

Christianity is an invasive and foreign religion to the Virunians. Virumaa has been savagely invaded in the 13th to 15th century by Christians in the name of God with many innocent people being slaughtered in the name of the cross. With such a huge database of folktales and folk music (with more than 250,000 folk songs, the Viru have the biggest and most developed folklore in the world), it is no surprise to see that such of the pre-Crusade history has survived in the form of oral history through folklore. Our lore is what has kept our identity intact against the excesses and slaughters of the cross. Even if Virumaa had a clerical fascist regime in power between 1958 and 1985, today the country is one of the least religious in the north. The people still understand that somewhere, before the arrival of the cross, there was a golden past which needs to be uncovered.

Very soon, the people will be called to a plebiscite to vote for a new constitution. The Vasakpartei is the vanguard of the Virunian people and they will fight for the de-christianisation of the country. We are now living the days of the greatest social revolution of all time. Politically we have managed to liberate ourselves by bringing the Party of the Left in power and by defeating the fascists. Economically we have managed to break the corporations and the capitalists with the creation of the wokers' councils in the Vaher Combines and the signing of decrees 13/2018 and 14/2018, giving the land and the means of production back to the workers and the people. In just a few weeks, Vasakpartei has done more for the people than all leaders of Virumaa since Roman Becker put together. The next step will be a social one. It will be the return to the roots which made us be communists back in the past golden eras. The Cross will have to disappear from the country. Churches will be transformed in institutions which the people actually needs, in schools and hospitals. The priests, nothing more than parasites feeding the people with illusions of grandeur but in reality doing nothing but taking the money from the weak and poor. They should be ashamed, even their prophet, Jesus, would be against them and vandalise their church as he vandalised the temple, in response to its transformation into a mere marketplace.

The Virumaa of tomorrow is a Virumaa returning to its roots: Socialism, Democracy, Maausk. Many of the people are seeing Christianity as a foreign aggressor. We will liberate the country from it. For some Maausk might be a heathen religion. For others it might be ecology. For us, it is a heritage which paves our way for the development of socialism.

People Approve of the New Constitution
Kuressaare

The Virunuan people have been called to cast their vote regarding the adoption of a new, socialist inspired constitution for the country. The Central Electoral Bureau has officially given the results after counting all but the ballots from Ajdir, Cabaon. The number of supporters for the new constitution has exceeded all expectations, as around 71% of the people have given their approval for the adoption of the new constitution and 79% have approved of the list of deputies brought forward by the Vasakpartei.

With this new vote, the United Republic of Virumaa is declared defunct and is replaced by the newly proclaimed Democratic People's Republic of Virumaa. The constitution has declared that all political associations but the Party of the Left (Vasakpartei) and its affiliated organisations like the Anti-Fascist Committee of the Viru, German and Yiddish Toilers of Virumaa, which publishes the political analyses magazine, Uus Tee, the League of Communist Youth and the National Federation of Labour, are to be declared illegal.

"It is an important day for the development of our nation, which has fully legitimised what the Party of the Left has always stated, we are the vanguard of the people, we are the defenders of the workers. Since 1957, we have gone down, falling in decadence and becoming ossified. Governments only wanted to keep the colonial empire and defend the riches and the privileges of the capitalists. We can see that those actions have led us on a path in which stagnation wast the best possible action. But no more! The people of Virumaa have spoken. The red-white flag of the Vasakpartei is flying high, together with the white-green-black tricolour showing that today is the day in which our prosperous, strong and great People's Democratic Republic was born. Our party's mission is clear. Prop up the military, especially during those days of Great War so that our social revolution can be defended from reactionary forces, de-christianise the country, so that we can co-exist in a place without superstitions which slow down our development and fully socialise the economy, so that the people can finally enjoy the fruits of their labour. Only then, can we finally say that our revolution is done. It might take years, but until then we can proudly say that we have made the first step on the revolutionary process for achieving communism. We are now socialist!" said Jaak Raud his televised speech in front of the Rahvakogu (the People's Assembly) as he has taken on his role as the Chairman of the People's Council.

Aada Sokk, the niece of the Aleksandra Sokk, the first Chairwoman of the Vasakpartei, has been nominated by the party for the office of State Elder. The State Elder is the vice Chairman of the People's Council and is seen as the head of the state, while the Chairman itself is the head of the party and of the government. The authorities wanted to keep the name State Elder, though more radical elements like the pro-Calidian Radical Action Front have called it a reactionary office, as the title is seen as an inheritance from Ancient Virumaa, in which the State Elder wasn't a leader in the true reactionary sense, but an experienced individual which advised the tribe, but in the end it still had to respect the decisions of the tribal assembly.

Loago: Relations between the governments of Kuressaare and Maseru are reaching an all time low, as the two governments don't recognise each other. Virunian Loagans are slowly returning to the homeland by taking the Austral Airways flight to Ajdir and from there the Boral Airways to Kuressaare. Around 300 have returned in the last two weeks.

25th Congress of the Vasakpartei begins in Imavere

The capital of the north and second city of the Democratic Republic, Imavere will see this weekend a gigantic surge of people arriving, as the 25th Congress of the Vasakpartei will take place this weekend. Internationally known as the Party of the Left, Vasakpartei is the vanguard of the Virunian toilers and represents the interests of all the people in Virumaa. It is the world's third largest communist party, after the Kadikistani and Xinhaiese one, having a little more than a million members, and their number still increases. The city of Imavere has been selected by the main leaders of the Party, comrades Jaak Raud, Chairman of the Party, Viktoria Sokk, President of the State Council and Paavo Aavik, Marshall of the Democratic Army as the city where the revolutionary war for the liberation of Virumaa from the clutches of fascism, corporatism and social capitalism has started in 1954. The 15th of September is the day in when 64 years ago, the original 200 members of the Revolutionary Insurrectionist Army (the armed wing of the party) have attacked the headquarters of the 2nd White Army in Imavere.

The 25th Congress has been called by Jaak Raud to further organise the legacy of Roman Becker and create the ideological foundations of the Party of the Left, now that it has succeeded in its revolutionary war to defeat the fascist elements and has saved Virunian democracy from falling in the hands of totalitarian arch-reactionaries. While the Party of the Left has more than one million members, fifty thousand delegates from all over Virumaa, including Cabaon and invited delegates from Kadikistan, Xinhai, Milesia, Crotobaltislavonia, Serenierre and also from the League of Communists of Loago and the DKKP of Pelasgia. The only openly declared Marxist-Leninovist country which hasn't been invited is Calidia, which still has territorial issues with Virumaa.

"The days in which we have been pushed to live like rats has finally passed. Now, the people of Virumaa have finally managed to take their future into their hands and through the guiding light of the Vasakpartei, we are ready to create a golden future for us and for our children. Exactly 64 years ago, the original 200 members of the party have begun the revolutionary war. It was a long and extremely brutal struggle. They were hunted, they were killed, they were tortured. Corporatists, National-Syndicalists and Prometheists alike were destroying the country as they were exploiting the people, giving back only famine and misery while condemning us for all the problems they created. Now, the tide has turned. The people has been unshackled and for the second time, a people's party is leading our nation. In those times, all our old enemies would try to infiltrate our movement and present themselves as communists, trying to reap the rewards of our work. We must be always on the lookout and be ready to fight for our future, so that our movement isn't tainted by fascists or social capitalists," stated Jaak Raud in his opening speech at the Congress.

Out of the original 200 partisans of the RIA, only 24 have managed to survive the next three years to see the rise of the great Roman Becker. Today, the only still living veteran of the first battle of Imavere is the 80 year old Lena Must. At this congress she will receive the Medal "Partisan of the Revolutionary War" 1st Class and will become a senior member of the Central Committee of the Party.

25th Congress ends. New chapter in national development

The 25th Congress of the Party of the Left has ended at the beginning of this week and it proved to be one full of changes for the republic, its people and its party. The Central Committee has voted to rename the party, from the Party of the Left (Vasakpartei) to the Revolutionary Socialist Party (Revolutsiooniline Sotsialistlik Partei or RSP for short) calling the old name too general and prone to being hijacked by revisionist or deviationist factions. The Central Committee has suggested the name Revolutionary Socialist because it shows the heritage of the revolutionary struggle of the left in Virumaa as it fought both fascists and social capitalists while the socialist element comes after comrade Jaak Raud has called the use of the element "communist" as being too arrogant for a society that is currently only developing on a socialist level. At the behest of Viktoria Sokk, the state council will also be renamed into the Supreme Revolutionary Council to further emphasise on the revolutionary element of the post-fascist and social-capitalist nature of the Virunian society.

During the congress, the most important elements discussed were the economic and social development of the Federal Democratic Republic and the Virunian people. The last time the Party organised a congress while it was leading the government was in 1958. Since then, economies and technologies have evolved and advanced. Now, the new economical policy voted for the new 5 year plan emphases on the development of both the industry and of science to create the best possible life for the Virunian toiler. The new economic policy will keep Kuressaare, Oru and Puurmani as free economic zones and the state will fund the development of electronics and IT industry. Comrade Jaak Raud has called it a new industrial revolution, and Virumaa, as a workers' state will be the vanguard in it.

Matters of environmentalism have also been discussed, as the Party emphasised on the need to recycle used materials. For that, Jaak Raud has also promised that by 2030, all of Virumaa's electricity and heating will be coming from nuclear and renewable sources, while most of the petrol will be exported or stored for emergencies. The Party also promised that Kuressaare might be one of the first cities of the world where electric cars will function without any problems and will soon become dominant.

Regarding the national defence, the party leaders have decided to fund the intelligence services more, calling them the greatest asset in the defence of the Federal Democratic Republic.

"Virumaa is entering a new era of development and progress. The revolution wasn't just political, it was economic, social, environmental and cultural. We will strive to become better, offer the working class the best conditions this world has to offer, provide it with consumer goods that are both affordable and excellent in quality, while creating a socialist state that offers us all a good life, while caring for the world around us. Socialism has liberated us from greed, because it provides us with all our necessities and now that we are free from the shackles of capitalism we can strive to build a better, fairer and more beautiful communist world. We will provide with excelent health and education services. Our workers will show the world that a free proletariat is the most efficient of them all, because they work with passion. They work for themselves and for their society, not for a fat and exploitative capitalist. We will make Virumaa socialist red and ecologist green, so that our children's children can fully enjoy the communist society that we are building today. We will remain steadfast in our quest. We know our goals and we will be sure that we will not stray from them!" said comrade Jaak Raud in the ending speech of the congress.

Viktoria Sokk: "A campaign of disinformation has been started by fascist elements"

Comrade Viktoria Sokk, the Chairwoman of the Supreme Revolutionary Council has held a press conference today in which she condemned the latest happenings in fascist Loago. The speech she presented has been followed by a vote in the People's Assembly which has unanimously condemned the racist regime in Maseru.

As of the recent days, the tyrant, Koit Sisask, has managed to escape the People's Tribunals and has made his way to Loago where with the support of the usurper, Paavo Laht has created what he calls a government in exile. With it, he intends to foster dissent and division between the people of Virumaa and as of yet, there are many that are falling to his lies.

As the victory of the forces of the working class over the artificial state of Trivodnia is signalling the future victory over the capitalist, feudal and bourgeois states of Gallo-Germania, fascist elements become more and more desperate and are ready to do anything to stop the inevitable world revolution.

The government set up in Maseru, which is intending to usurp the power of the people and return it back into the hands of reaction has created a propaganda instrument, which they called the Voice of the North and with it they are denigrating the people's government and the policies that have drastically improved the standard of life of the men and women of Virumaa.

Viktoria Sokk, together with Jaak Raud have both condemned the recent developments and those new movements which seek to undermine the people's republics. She has also warned the countries of the Trier Accord, that even if now, Virumaa still is neutral and still trades without any restrictions, it will start oil embargoes against countries which are actively seeking to disband the sovereignty of the Democratic Republic. She has targeted in her speech the Kingdom of Eiffelland especially, because it has recognised the fascist regime of Paavo Laht in Loago.

"Our political revolution has ended in victory when the Democratic Republic was proclaimed, but now we are still struggling in the social revolution. We are fighting against one of the most powerful arch-reactionary institutions in the world, an institution which has supported feudalism, slavery and has been an epitome of obscurantism and mysticism during its whole history. We are fighting to free the people of Virumaa from its main opiate, the Catholic Church. We are fighting to disband the huge wealth of the monastery and to give back to the people the huge lands this institution has managed to hold on and continuously acquire during the centuries. We are fighting to emancipate the peasant, which was kept as a serf by the Catholic Church and we are fighting to rediscover our real Virunian culture and heritage, which were nearly destroyed, as we were the targets of a genocidal war which the Church called the Nordic Crusade. There are still many bandits roaming the lands of Virumaa which are mainly functioning as mercenaries of the Church which are tirelessly trying to intimidate the people but we will do anything in our power to stop them and to give the average Virunian his dignity back. The forces of fascism are on the move and because they have created that so called government in exile, we can now know that we have done a great job in cleansing our country, as they are running away. They will be thrown in the dustbin of history as they represent only oppression, tyranny, serfdom and slavery on all levels, economical, political, social and even psychological," stated Viktoria Sokk in the press conference.

Kingdom of Virumaa proclaimed in Eschenbach. Liberty and Dignity are at hand

Great news are coming this evening from the capital of the Kingdom of Elben as the representatives of the main organisations that are resisting the communist regime based in Kuressaare have officially united under the old banner of Saint Andrus and have declared that the United Republic of Virumaa has been disbanded and replaced by the Kigdom of Virumaa.

The National Democratic Party, led by Koit Sisask and Laur Kapp, the Traditionalist Union, led by Udo Vesik, the National-Syndicalist Party led by Egon Rootare have decided to officially dissolve their political organisations and be absorbed under the newly created political movement called the National Union, led by the Archbishop of Ugandi, the Most Reverend Hendrik Saar.

This new government in exile is now officially replacing the one organised by Koit Sisask and Linda Tarvas in Maseru and thus brings all the groups fighting for liberation together. The National Union has decided to back the claim of Prince Alvar Tamm, the nephew of Prince Mihkel, brother of the last king of Virumaa, TKJ Alvar V. Like his mother, Princess Riina, Prince Alvar has been prepared for the moment in which he will receive the sword of state and be invested as King of Virumaa and the North from an early age and by now, even if he is still young has managed to learn the ropes of statedom and has been declared ready by his tutors.

Support for the crown has been offered by Paavo Laht, the State Elder of Loago who was declared that he is ready for his government to be reabsorbed into the Virunian one once the homeland is liberated, so that the rule of law can return to Loago too and also by sheikhs from Cabaon who are condemning the racial discrimination shown by the Ajdir administration.

Kallaste: Even if the greatest blasphemy has been perpetrated by the atheist-communist authorities as the Glade of Saint Andrus has burnt in the battle between the gendarmes, calling themselves the civil guard and the resistance, the people do not back down.
The Forest Brothers: Heroes are being born in the resistance and the Forest Brothers are now the biggest group fighting for the liberty of the people of Virumaa. They have attacked gendarme convoys around Kallaste in their quest to defend the people fighting for the holy glade.
Ajdir: Bands of resistance fighters have attacked garrisons of the "International Volunteer Unit" in Ajdir to fight for the liberation of Cabaon.
Martyrs: Rumours are circulating around Rapla, that Father Ronan, the stigmatist to whom the holy virgin has appeared in the Glades of Saint Andrus has been assassinated by the authorities after he was imprisoned for the last three months.

White Army surrounds Pernu. Liberates Tareste

The Autumn War for the Liberation of the Fatherland has started very well as the loyalist air forces have managed to take control of the air above the whole of Virumaa by incapacitating the rebel airforce to strike back. In a series of bombing runs, the military airport of Saku has been disabled. The Navy has also launched around 40 rockets from the Maausk Class frigates hitting targets in the military air base and military garrisons around Kuressaare. Commodore Udo Ilves was quick to state that they were all surgical strikes and while it might have provoked panic for the citizens of Kuressaare, there was no collateral damage.

The offensive against the communist enclave is as of yet a success. Units of the 3rd Army have surrounded Pernu and are attacking it from the north-east, east and south. The nordic town, capital of the Sakala province has the biggest communist army unit in the enclave, a motor division. Generals of the White Army are expecting for the whole enclave to soon fall, after the city will be fully liberated. There are already pressures put on the enclave from the south, as the Saku is under siege by the white Army and the Forest Brothers have created a large network of no-go zones for the communists in the whole region.

In the east, after the communist garrison of Tareste was overwhelmed by the superior firepower of the White Army, the citizens has all cheered the soldiers as they marched into the newly liberated city. General Ants Kaljurand is leading a powerful force made of 2nd Army units from Puurmani, Valga and Kalev along the eastern seaboard. Not waiting for the communists to recover, the army is now on the move to liberate Oru.

While in the north and in the east, our forces are moving swiftly to see our dream of a free and sovereign Virumaa a reality, the forces of the communist regime are also on the move. There have been reports of attacks all along the front in Lounamaad, as the Democratic Army is preparing for an offensive to cut off the north from Kerdla by taking Harku and Vaatsa. As of yet there are slim chances of such a catastrophe to happen, as our forces are dominating the sky and thus making any sort of organised offensive of the communists impossible. While small scale fights are taking place and there are concerns especially in Parila, where the city is surrounded by the communist forces and kept under siege since the war started, the supreme command of the Army feels that the Democratic Army is no match for the CaR/White Army but stresses that in the regions around the Raasiku Mountains, where there are many pro-Kadikistani sentiments, they expect a stiff resistance from communist partisans.

"The greatest fear that many of the older generation holds now, is for Kadikistan to make its appearance in Vaalbara again, as it did in Milesia and in Pohjamaad in 1957. While we know that they are fighting their own war in Germania and must send forces to pacify Krasnislavia and CBS, we are expecting them to come and as always we are ready to show them that for the southerners, Vaalbara is the graveyard of empires. I want to commend our forces for fighting honourably and making sure that civilian casualties and collateral damage is kept to a minimum. I hope that the Democratic Army is ready to respect the rules of war too and if they really call themselves Virunian, to be ready to respect our military virtues," stated Hendrik Saar, Archbishop of Ugandi and head of the government in exile.

OTHER NEWS:
Saaremaa: The communist council which took control of Novi Seversk has stated that its population is mainly Yamalian and Kadikistani and its final aspiration is to join the Kadikistani Union. As of yet no other fights have been reported in the arctic islands, as there are no significant military units of neither camp ready to start an offensive.
Sakala: The battle for Pernu proves to be the biggest battle currently fought in the Autumn War. Three divisions have surrounded and are constantly attacking the military base holding the communist 17th Motor Rifle Division. The town has been largely spared by the fighting, as the base itself is situated 5 km west of the outskirts.
Pohjamaad: Saku is under pressure as the royalist armies are marching from the south into the enclave. The Forest Brothers are wreaking havoc among the communist People's Militia, especially a unit led by Father Evert Nurme, which activates around Ulja.
Lounamaad: While the army of the Eastern Istmus is moving past Tareste and fighting in its advance towards Oru, the city of Parila is a liberated enclave surrounded on three sides by the waters of lake Jaala and on the southern side by the communist units. In the last three days, the air force has made much of the bombing campaign of the communists against the Parila garrison a failure, but even so, the mortar strikes are still hitting the local military base.
Weather: A polar front is expected to hit northern Vaalbara in the following days. Meteorologists are predicting that temperatures will surely fall under the freezing point in Saaremaa, Sakala and Pohjamaad and in the mountains around Raasiku.

Great clashes in Lounamaad. The battle for Kuressaare has begun

In the southern regions, the White Army has begun operation Kullervo, which thus begins the battle for Kuressaare as loyal forces from the 1st Army, reinforces by the 2nd Army and the Forest Brothers have begun the offensive for the capital city along the coasts of the Gothic Sea to attack the rebel bases from the west. While our brave soldiers are now beginning to fight in the most important engagement of this war, communist mercenaries and guerrillas are also attacking our forces in the mountains, with the hope of disrupting our forces up to Harku and dividing the southern armies.

In response to that, the Forest Brothers have started a campaign in the southern mountains to hunt the communist mercenaries. Koit Sisask has also offered a reward of 1000 Markka for information leading to the capture or destruction of a communist terrorist cell.

Koit Sisask has taken command of the White Army as his position of State Elder before the communist takeover puts him in the position of supreme commander of the armed forces. Some see his return to his position as the State Elder as provoking the government in exile organised in Eschenbach. Even so, the State Elder and the government that led the country before have much more influence on the Virunians as its composed of more popular politicians than the royalist government in exile.

Koit Sisask has called for the White Army not to be caught in battles that bog it down, which seem to be the general strategy of the Kadikistani trained communists. He reminded the general staff of the siege of Lowport in Milesia and the battle of Laimjala of 1957 as battles in which communists movements, funded and supported by Kadikistan have bogged down anti-communist forces and obliged them to waste precious resources on battle of little to no strategic significance. He also mentioned that the best strategy to defeat regimes which he called "Kadikistani spawn" is to overwhelm them quickly with manoeuvrability and pincer movements and not letting them have the initiative, as they are enjoying the near infinite supply of resources of Kadikistan, compared to the limited resources Gallo-Germanian, Vaalbaran and Scanian nations have.

OTHER NEWS:
Sakala: The 17th Division is assuring the country that victory is at hand. Some of the units participating in the battle of Pernu are already being moved as they are starting their offensive towards the south, to finally end the communist presence in the north.
Pohjamaad: Forces from the east have formed their pincer around lake Tihu and are preparing to attack Rakke and thus break the enclave in two. The Forest Brothers are preparing their own independent attack on Ulja. Should the two towns, together with Pernu be liberated, the enclave will fall and the north will be declared communist free.
Lounamaad: General Ants Kaljurand is continuing his slow march towards Oru. His campaign has transformed mostly into an anti-guerrilla fight as he is continuously attacked by communist partisans and mercenaries. Sadly, the defences of Parila have fallen. General Andrus Masing, together with Koit Sisask have decided to evacuate the Parila garrison over Lake Jaala using barges and moving it to reinforce the units under General Kaljurand. Communist guerrillas are creating disruptions in the highland regions south-east of Harku. The Forest Brothers are battling them, as the White Army is attacking from Vaatsa to Raasiku.
Ugandi: The great offensive, Operation Kullervo has started and the 1st Army, positioned on the front in southern Lounamaad and Ugandi has begun its attack on Kuressaare. A naval battle has taken place in the Ugandi Gulf last night, as communist submarines have attacked minelayers and frigates of the White Navy. As of yet, a frigate has been disabled and has run ashore close to Huti, and a minelayer has been damaged. The White Army reports that two submarines have been sunk. As of yet it is not known if the submarines are the ones which remained loyal to the communist regime or are Kadikistani.

Mihkel Vaino: "Northern Cooperation is as strong as ever"

His excellency, Mihkel Vaino, the State Elder of Virumaa, defender of the people and chairman of the People's National Action has held a speech today on Radio Boreal, where he tackled the issues regarding the recent scandals in Gunnland, the royal succession in Elben and the break up of the Grand Duchy of Bourgogne. The Kingdom of Virumaa might be the last country joining the Council of the North and for a long time, many of its pro-colonialist politicians have preferred to present it in an exceptional light through its civilising mission in Himyar, but the break up of the Empire has brought a shakeup of the politics and a more pro-northern policy has been set us, Virumaa immediately being invited and joined the Council. Since then, Virumaa has been a loyal member of the Council, always lobbying for greater cooperation between the nations on the coast of the Gothic Sea.

The State Elder has applauded the Kingdom of Gunnland as steady defender of tradition and Christianity in Northern Germania, seeing it as a primus inter pares, but he has warned that the political scandal where the Integrity Party clashes with the Liberals might be problematic for the stability of the Kingdom. The State Eldered stated that the Gunnish politicians are versed in the politics game and that in the end, he trusts their wisdom into doing what's the best for the people of Gunnland while not selling out the country's culture and creed to blind materialism and individualism. As for the Kingdom of Elben, the State Elder has congratulated king Karl Maria into taking the throne and thus providing a very competent administration for the future.

Even with all those changes, the State Elder is optimistic that the new generation of leaders in Northern Germania will provide a stronger cooperation between Virumaa, Gunnland, Elben and Geotria and for the first time ever has talked about a potential expansion of the Council of the North towards Bourgogne and Neustria.

Ugandi: With the default of Ostmark showing a generalised destruction of the quality of life brought on by unshackeld economic liberalism and the turn for the better during the Grasser years, the Premier of the State of Ugandi, Paavo Laht, has stated that there is chance to end the liberal experiment and re-corporatize the Ugandian economy to prevent a disaster like the Ostmarker one.
Lounamaad: The returnees from Loago, numbering already 750,000 are trying to integrate into the local economy and while this might help the companies as many are skilled labourers, it creates a huge housing crisis that Kuressaare in itself would be unable to solve. Hence, the government is proposing an organised dispersion into the cities all over the country that need an infuse of skilled labour.
Pohjaamaad: The minister of transport, Riina Lepp, together with the Premier of the State of the North (Pohjaanmaad) and Sakala have been present today at the central railway station of Imavere as the first train travelling on the Polar Railway has reached the regional capital. The Railway, starting at Vendra, has been first designed during the Nationa-Syndicalist regime to bring in coal and oil from the White Islands but economical slowdown during those years have delayed the construction, which was started up again only in 2005 and finished early this year. The Polar Railway now links Vendra to Imavere and then continues down the central mainline to Kuressaare.

NPA Central Committee on the Fence regarding militarisation

The Central Committee of the National People's Action had today an emergency meeting following the news of the 20% increase of the military budget of the Gunnish Army, as a response to the Serenien announcements. The main theme of discussion was the security of the north and the need of the other members of the Council of follow suit in Gunland' new military expansion.

The more reformist faction of the Central Committee, led by Koit Sokk and Ines Vosu have argued that a huge increase in the military budget like the Gunnish or Serenien 20% would be catastrophic, as the Kingdom already sends over 7% of its GDP to the military, as per its militaristic tradition. They have argued that the money sent for defence could work better in the lives of the people if Virumaa if they were sent to pro-Natalist programs such as "Support for a new life". The said program is said to start in May and will offer tax incentives and bigger money allowances per child to every Virunian family that has three or four children. The liberal faction stressed that such a program, if successful, must be kept on for a very long time, up to a generation and that rather building a tank, it would be much better to build a safe and healthy environment for the kids of tomorrow.

On the other side, the hardline corporatist faction led by Eero Sisask, the Vice-Leader of the Government and by General Einar Saar, the supreme leader of the White Guard, the elite formation of the Virunian White Army, have stated that a strong defence is needed for such an environment to even exist. In a speech that was described by as as too apocalyptic, Eero Sisask talked to the Central Committee about the dangers that lurk behind the Red Barrier, ending by saying that the war of 1957 has shown, that the communists want the Fennic race exterminated from the face of Europe. White Islands: The last ton of coal from the Must Lipp Mine IV at Novi Seversk has been dug out. The mine is now to close, leaving only one coal mine still functioning in the arctic town. The settlement of Novi Seversk has been first built as a whaling station by Virunians, under the name of Vaaga, but then bought by Kadikistan in 1881, and renamed to its current form. It has been occupied by Virumaa since 1907, when the Kadikistani revolution took place and the islands have been recognised as part of the nation by Kadikistan in 1964, with the condition that Kadikistani companies should have the right to exploit the coal mines there. The last Kadikistan company left, GOL, left in 2008, leaving only the Must Lipp Mining as the last functioning enterprise employing the citizens. The town boasts a population of 350, mainly Yamalians from Kadikistan which took refuge there after the Communist revolution.
Sakala: The authorities of the town of Vendra have warned the people to not give meat to the bears and wolves roaming the town at night, as they further invite the predators into the settlement. They have recommended to keep all livestock safe and dogs and cats in houses during the night as it might be dangerous for them.

Royal Assembly votes bill pushing for royal election

In a surprising push from the reformers, Koit Sokk has presented today the Royal Assembly with a bill to end the delays on the meeting of the Royal Council and with it to push for the election of a king of Virumaa. Such a bill has been thought by many to be a taboo, as in the last 60 odd years, after the National Uprising against Marxism-Feudalism, the government and the Royal Council have continuously decided to delay the coronation of a new king, citing either a potential lack of national cohesion, a political blockage like in the crowning of the last king, Alvar V, more than 70 years ago, or other general problems. For many people this situation was seen as just having the country a kingdom in name only, but an undeclared republic de facto.

To the surprise of many, the reformers managed to show cohesion behind their leader and have even managed to win the support of the independents and of the moderates, leaving only the hardliners as supporters of the current status quo. At the end of the day, the bill was approved with 180 votes for, 90 against and 30 abstentions.

The bill states that at the next meeting of the Royal Council, they will have no right to further delay and start receiving the nominations for the new Virunian king of the north. The press and local analysts are already buzzing as this might restart a centuries old feud between the Saar family, whose patriarch, Alvar-Alexander holds the title of Duke of Raasiku and still has quite a lot of influence as his younger brother, Einar Saar is the current head of the hardliner faction and the commander of the White Guard, and the ancient Tamm family, whose patriarch, Paavo holds the title of Duke of Sakala, with the family being less present in the politics of Kuressaare and but important in the corporate economical life of the Northern regions. The two families have alternated on the throne of Virumaa in the last four centuries and with that stakes this high, many fear that it might provoke great problems.

"As of yet nothing is decided, no one knows what will happen, only that something WILL happen. If the hardliners would have been the one asking for this I would have expected a Saar king being invested as quickly as probably the next week, but with this bill being introduced by the reformers and by Koit Sokk of them all, who is probably the youngest man ever to rise so high in the national politics, becoming a state secretary and councillor of the State Elder at only 33; no, it is clear that he would like something new. The Saar and the Tamm families are influential, but they do represent old Virumaa and now, they are so strongly hostile that it would be the best to find someone outside this paradigm. My bet is on the fact that Sokk intends to nominate a foreign king, a young king, that can embody the qualities of the perfect royal, while also rising above local petty rivalries and also bringing some new youthful inovation," stated Astrid Laht, political analyst.

Assassination in Kuressaare: The most loved lecturer on political sciences from KAUK, Ulrike Freudenberger has been declared dead after she collapsed on the street yesterday morning. While an autopsy has only now been started, the authorities have found a micro-engineered pellet containing ricin. This prompted speculation that it might have been so highly sophisticated assassination organised either by radical anarcho-communists with foreign help.
Novi Seversk to close down: The Authorities of the Novi Seversk Island have decided to close down the townhall and the clinic in the settlement where only 400 people live, after a week ago, the last mine was closed down. This new closure brings the total of Virunian "Polar Ghost Cities", settlements in the region of Saaremaa or the far north of Sakala and Pohjamaad which have been closed down in the last 30 years because of the local economic downturn. All those closures in the recent years have sparked a hike in dark tourism with many foreigners wanting to visit those ghost towns. The local will be transferred by the authorities to Pohjalinn, the capital of Saaremaa.

We are saddened to hear of the loss of Professor Freudenberger. However, as academics we must all condemn the assassination of such a noted academic and intellectual. Such actions by rogue and barbaric entities are an anathema to universities across the world. Intellectuals, as a class, must have security and freedom to express their views for the furtherance of knowledge and debate.

We shall maintain a moment of silence today at Noon across the University as a sign of respect to our fallen comrade.
