PELASGIAN INDUSTRIES

A comprehensive list of major industries in the Pelasgian Empire for 1957, provided by the Association of Industries & Entreprises.
Note: "A.E." signifies "S.A." & "E.P.E." signifies "Limited Liability Company"

I. Automobile Industries
Automobile Industries first came to the Empire in 1906 with Pegasos Automobiles A.E., a major automobile manufacturer based in Codris, in the Theme of Melingia. Founded by famous Pelasgian entrepreneur Ambrosios Alexiadis, the company grew to one of the largest in Himyar. The success of Pegasos gave momentum to the creation of Ippolochos Motors A.E. in Therme, Pierheia, in 1912 as a successor to the Ippolochos Bicycle Company, and Aetos A.E. in Kerasond, Euxenia, in 1923. Aetos, originally a canon manufucturer put out of business by the Phryxaean and Pierheian military-industrial complex, also came to acquire the facilities and materials of Adamidēs Carriages, after a marger in 1926, that led to the creation of the Adamidēs-Aetos Automobile Group, which later evolved into the Adamidēs-Aetos Automobile Group. Since then, the Empire's Automobile Industry has been famed for its quality and competitive prices, with its expansion beyond the Empire's boundaries being constantly supported by Imperial policy.

II. Shipyards
Pelasgian shipping magnates control approximately one fifth of world maritime trade, with Pelasgians being one of the Long Sea's most successful seafarers since centuries before the birth of Christ. Pelasgians under the Tiburan Empire carry on this tradition through their unparalleled skill, innovation and efficiency, boasting what the Imperial Shipping Association claims to be 'the largest shipyards in the Long Sea'. Free from fears of overtaxation and greatly helped by Imperial governments for decades, with a dedicated workforce that rarely creates problems, the Empire's shipyards are the source of Pelasgian maritime might.

Imperial Shipyards A.E. (State Owned - Based at Eurypyle)
Imperial Shipyards A.E. is the state owned ship construction company that produces the warships of the Imperial Navy, as well as ships for foreign navies based on special contracts. Its ships represent the cutting edge in military ship design, encompassing decades of research and centuries of naval tradition from the shipbuilders of Pelasgia. Several recent enlargement programmes have boosted the shipyards' industrial capacity, as part of the government's naval enlargement and modernisation initiative.

Leon Shipyards A.E. (Partly state owned, partly private - Based at Anthene)
Note: DWT signifies Deadweight Tonnage

Leon Shipyards claim to be the largest builders of non-military ships in the Long Sea. Partly owned by the Propontine Government, Partly owned by the powerful Pelasgian Shipping Magnates, these ships provide the backbone of any major trading fleet in the Long Sea and beyond. Among their most famous and widely used ship designs are:

 • The Delphin Class Freighter, a handysize bulk carrier, with a DWT of 35,000. At 12 million hyperpyra ($2.3 million in 1956 USD, $25 million in modern currency), this bulk carrier is the basis of any national merchant fleet, being able to transport cargo in all ports, as they can enter smaller ports due to their size.
 • The Iraklis Class Freighter, a handymax bulk carrier, with a DWT of 55,000 and a length of 290 meters. Bigger than most handysize bulk carriers, while costing slightly more at 14 million hyperpyra ($3.4 million in 1956 USD, $30 million in modern currency), this bulk carrier is preffered by the trade fleets of countries that see above average amount of shipping but do not so great as to demand panamax level vessels.
 • The Titan Class Freighter, a panamax bulk carrier, with a DWT of 75,000. At 17 million hyperpyra ($4 million in 1956 USD, $35 million in modern currency), this bulk carrier forms the backbone of most major trade fleets, being able to go through all major cannals and dock at all major ports.
 • The Galaxias Class Freighter, a capesize bulk carrier, with a DWT of 125,000, being the largest known shipping class currently in operation. At 29 million hyperpyara ($6.7 million in 1956 USD, $60 million in modern currency), this bulk carrier is a ship that only the world's greatest trade fleets can afford and only they need. Being larger than most cannals, it is fit only for the world's largest cannals and trade ports. Plans are underway for a larger class of Bulk Carriers, details as to the progress of its design and construction are, however, few and far between, at the moment.

III. Pharmaceutics & Chemical Industry
The Propontine Pharmaceutics Industry draws from the long Pelasgo-Tiburan traditional of medicine. The Empire was amongst the first nations to industrialise pharmaceutics, due to several major medical discoveries in the 1890s and the early 1900s. By 1908 Asklipios A.E., named after the famous ancient Pelasgian doctor Asclepius, one of the oldest Pelasgian chemical companies, established in 1872, had created a medicinal department, based in Philippias, in the Theme of Aegimia, becoming the oldest and most important of Pelasgian Pharmaceutics companies. In 1912 Drabescus, Pierheia, saw the creation of Longovardos A.E., a merger of Papatriantaphylloy A.E. and Lysippidis A.E., two of the most important Pelasgian Chemical firms. The city of Metaechmium, in the Theme of Brennia, was the sight where, in 1927 several of the Empire's largest Pharmaceutics and Chemical industries, including the two mentioned before, decided to unite as the Charalampidis Group, named in honour of famous Pelasgian Chemist Christos Chalarampidis. Since then, Propontine Pharmaceutics and Chemical Industries have united their efforts, creating several revolutionary products. Among the most recent are:
 • A cure-all vaccine for diphtheria, polio, and whooping cough to be released by 1960, made largely by the facilities and scientists formerly under Asklipios A.E.
 • A new generation of fertilizers, called Lambda-6, which have doubled production in Pelasgian farms.
 • The isolation of several antibiotics; Vancomycin, Novobiocin, Kanamycin and Nystatin to name a few.
 • Image-analyzing microscopes, which have been used in both Medicine and Scientific Research

IV. Arms & Military Vehicles Industry
The Pelasgian arms industry is one of the oldest industries of its kind in the Long Sea, originating to the first construction of musket factories and cannon arsenals in Therme, the Empire's second largest city, at the command of the Emperor himself, in the late 18th century. Having seen the capabilities of these factories in the Gallo-Germanian countries, the Emperor was certain that they would give him an upper edge in warfare. Since Pelasgian herself lacked people trained in the industrial production of armaments, the Emperor sent a number of trainees to Engellex and the Kingdoms that make up modern-day Eiffelland. They returned, founding the Imperial Armaments Academy, along with the factories of the then Imperial Armaments Industry, which would later be turned into a military vehicle industry, with the name AVO (now APVO). Through centuries of production, the Pelasgian factories have grown in expertise, rivalling those of their former teachers. As AVO focused on artillery and vehicles, later specialising solely in the latter, Hēphaistos Armaments was founded by a wealthy shipping magnate, while Vakchaios A.E. was founded by a man of the same name who had grown up working in AVO's artillery factory. The former focused on small arms and equipment, while the latter focused on artillery and explosives, leaving the production of military vehicles to AVO.

Autokratorikē Pelasgikē Viomēchania Ochēmatōn (APVO) A.E. (Partly State Owned, Partly Private - Based at Therme)
The oldest and most well known Pelasgian military industry, APVO is based at Therme, being owned (51% of stocks) by the Imperial Governmet with large segments of it in private Pelasgian hands. Once a producer of all sorts of armaments, as evidenced by its original name (Autokratorikē Viomēchania Oplismou; AVO - 'Imperial Armaments Industry), it evolved into a major producer of military vehicles, equipping both the Pelasgian army and foreign buyers. In 1946, the Imperial Research Foundation (Vasiliko Idryma Ereunōn - VIE) started a cooperation with APVO for the production of its weapon projects.

V. Other Heavy Industry & Aviation Industry
The Pelasgian heavy industry's development is directly linked to that of the Empire's Aviation industry. Heavy Industry was the very first of Pelasgia's industries, from the 18th century artillery foundries in Therme, and remains by far the most profitable and important for the Pelasgian sociery and economy. Pelasgia had been a highly urbanised society since ancient times and all forms of industry quickly became popular targets for investment for the Empire's nobility and wealthy. While the Automobile, Chemical, Military, Resource Mining, Extraction & Refinement and Shipbuilding industries already have their own dedicated sections, other heavy industries, such as the Aviation industry, are also worthy of mention. Steelmaking remains very important for the foundries of Mopsia, Euxenia and Brennia, which produce a considerable amount of Himyar's industrial steel. Locomotive and rail manufacturing, directly linked to Pelasgia's advanced metallurgy, are also very important, since Pelasgia boasts the continent's oldest railroad system. Another major industry related to steelmaking is machine tool building, while the electric industry has also seen a great increase in importance in the 20th century. Finally, the Pelasgian aviation industry, while relatively large in terms of revenue, keeps up with standard international levels, though it is far less important than those of other major industrial countries, due to an emphasis on sea travel instead of air travel in the Pelasgian economy, soceity and military. That being said, the industry does its best to innovate and is certainly not lagging far behind, producing quality goods at relatively low prices. Some noteworthy companies include:

Sphyra A.E. (Private - Based at Edessa)
Named after the Pelasgian word for 'hammer,' Sphyra A.E. specialises in steelmaking and the production of machine tools. Based at Edessa, with branches across Mopsia and Euxenia, its foundries produce a considerable amount of all the steel produced in northern Himyar annually. Its production of machine tools is also considerable, acting as the basis for the lighter industries of other Long Sea and Himyari nations;. for example its production of lathes helps to equip the linen and clothing factories of less industrialised nations in northern Himyar, as well as the Empire's own fashion and luxury goods industry.

Limperopoulos A.E. (Private - Based at Chrysopolis)
Focusing on the production of locomotive parts, whole locomotives, rails and metallic parts for other infrastructure, especially electric networks, Limperopoulos A.E. is one of Brennia's most important companies, branching across the nation. Producing everything from litghtbulbs to whole trains and from steel towers for overhead lines to street signs, it's one of the companies that make the comforts and wonders of modern infrastructure and technology a reality for the average citizen, in Pelasgia, Himyar and beyond. It's directly linked with the light industry of the nation.

Adelphoi Diakou A.E. (Private - Based at Philippias)
Often shortened to Aphoi Diakou A.E. it was founded by the Diakos brothers of Philippias, as indicated by its name, being one of the largest industries in Pelasgia's heavily industrialised West. Spacialising in the construction of major infrastructure projects and massive buildings, such as dams, bridges, highways, tunnels and skyscrapers, the company has built an international reputation for success, though its services do not come cheaply and so do its solutions. Among its great projects is the tunnel system linking the Empire's mountainous south and centre with the rest of the country.

Pēgasos A.E. (Private - Based at Codris)
One of the ten largest companies in Pelasgia, the Pegasos A.E.ē received its first aviation contracts in the 1910s from the Imperial Pelasgian Aviation (VPA), having been solely an automobile company until then. Since then it has expanded to produce all sorts of aircraft, though military aircraft are still its aviation branch's speciality. One of its major breakthroughs was the creation of the world's first jet passenger plane, commonly referred to as a 'jetliner' since, though several accidents of the then still experimental design caused the need for more research to develop improved prototypes and damaged consumer confidence, while providing rivals with valuable experience. Still, new models of the Komētēs jetliner have helped sales recover. Military aircraft built for the VPN's carriers tends to be more advanced than that built for the VPA, though the Empire is working with foreign partners for more advanced aircraft as the current models age.The company also contributes to multi-national efforts for a space programme.

The is a liaison and personnel transport propeller aircraft, mainly used by the Imperial Pelasgian Aviation as a communications and liaison monoplane. Featuring retractable landing gear, it has a maximum speed of 305 km/h (190 mph), a range of 1,000 km (620 mi) and a rate of climb of 5.21 m/s (1,194 ft/m) to 1,000 m (3,048 ft). It can reach a height of 6,200 m (20,300 ft) with 4 people and baggage, making it an excellent and fast choice for a utility plane, being directly derived from revolutionary older fighter planes of the late 1940s.

The is a single-engine, single-seat fighter aircraft built in 1943 for the VPA. Planned to be replaced by newer models, it forms the core of the Imperial Military Aviation. It features a maximum speed of 623 km/h (337 kn, 387 mph) at 7,000 m (22,970 ft), a range of 1,200 km, or 1,650 km with two 100 l (26 US Gal) drop tanks under wings, a service ceiling of 12,750 m (41,830 ft) and a rate of climb of 5 min 50 sec at 6,000 m. It is armed with 3 × 20 mm MG 151/20s, one engine-mounted (250 rounds) and two wing-mounted, 2× 12.7 mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns in the upper engine cowling (300 rpg) and provisions for 2 × 160 kg (353 lb) bombs on underwing racks.

The is a jet powered fighter-bomber, the first Pelasgian plane of its kind and among the firstin all of Europe. While not as advanced as those of other nations, it is a solid fighter-bomber, forming the future core of the Imperial Pelasgian Aviation's fighter and bomber squadrons, along with the Krios. It has a maximum speed of 940 km/h (508 knots, 584 mph), a rate of climb of 38 m/s (7,480 ft/min) and a service ceiling of 13,000 m (42,650 ft). It is armed with a 4× 20 mm autocannon with 125 rounds per gun, 16× 105 mm (4.1 in) air-to-ground unguided rockets or 2× rocket pods with 18×68 mm unguided air-to-ground rockets each and 2,270 kg (5,000 lb) of payload on four external hardpoints, including a variety of unguided iron bombs such as 2× 454 kg (1,000 lb) bombs or 2× 458 liter (121 gallon) napalm bombs or Drop tanks for extended range. It was the first Pelasgian plane to break the sound barrier.

The is a twin-engine transport and passenger plane, capable of also serving as a bomber, with a maximum speed of 380 km/h (205 knots, 236 mph), a range of 1,200 km (648 nmi, 745 km), a service ceiling of 8,000 m (26,240 ft) and a rate of climb of 5.0 m/s (985 ft/min).

The is single seat, jet powered fighter aircraft, which, together with the P450, forms the core of the Imperial Pelasgian Aviation. Serving as the basis for a whole programme of development of indigenous Pelasgian jet aircraft, it is currently one of the best aircraft of its kind in Himyar. It has a maximum speed of 1,080 km/h (583 knots, 675 mph), a rate of climb of 2,667 m/min (8,747 ft/min) and a service ceiling of 12,000 m (39,360 ft). It is armed with 2 × 30 mm HDD-825 cannons.
The is a long range, delta-wing, tailless, jet-powered, high altitude bomber, a daring new design, which is among the few but important innovations of Pēgasos in the department of military aviation, being able to effectively avoid detection and deliver massive payloads deep into enemy territory or in other sensitive areas from a very high altitude. It features a maximum speed of Mach 0.96 (645 mph, 1038.03km/h) at altitude (Mach 1+ in a shallow dive), a cruise speed of Mach 0.86 (567 miles per hour (912 km/h)) at 45,000 ft, a range of 2,607 mi (4,171 km) and a service ceiling of 55,000 ft (17,000 m). It can be armed with 21 × 1,000 pounds (454 kg) of conventional bombs.

The is a carrier-based jet fighter-bomber, built for the VPN in 1951. It features a maximum speed of 575 mph (500 knots, 927 km/h) at sea level, a range of 705 mi (613 nmi, 1,135 km), a maximum height of 39,500 ft (12,040 m) and a rate of climb of 5,750 ft/min (29.2 m/s). It is armed with 4× 20 mm (.79 in) autocannons, 8× "60lb" air-to-ground unguided rockets and 2× 1000 lb (450 kg) bombs.

The is a carrier-based, single-seat jet fighter, built in 1951 for the VPN. It features a maximum speed of 590 mph (950 km/h; 513 kn), a range of 590 mi (513 nmi; 950 km), a service ceiling of 45,000 ft (13,716 m) and a rate of climb of 6,350 ft/min (32.3 m/s). It is armed with 4 × 20mm autocannons.

The is a carrier-based, single-seat jet fighter, built in 1953 for the VPN as a replacement for the PG, being the principal I. It features a maximum speed of 600 mph (965 km/h), a range of 480 mi (770 km), a service ceiling of 44,500 ft (13,564 m) and a rate of climb of 5,700 ft/min (29.0 m/s). It is armed with 4 × 20 mm (.79 in) autocannons and 6 underwing hardpoints and provisions to carry combinations of: 20 × "60 lb" (27 kg) unguided rockets or 16 × 5 in (127 mm) unguided rockets and 4 × 500 lb (227 kg) bombs or 2 × 90 Imp gal (410 l) drop tanks.

The is a large, heavy-lift cargo rotor aircraft built for the Imperial Armed Forces. It features a maximum speed of 304 mph (264 kn, 489 km/h) at 20,800 ft (6,340 m), a cruise speed of 230 mph (200 kn, 370 km/h), a range of 6,820 mi (5,930 nmi, 10,975 km), a service ceiling of 21,800 ft (6,645 m) and a rate of climb of 760 ft/min (3.9 m/s). It has unloaded weight 101,165 lb (45,984 kg) of and a loaded weight of 185,000 lb (84,090 kg), along with a maximum weight of 194,500 lb (88,220 kg).
The is a piston-powered airliner built in 1946. Originally designed as a military transport plane, it was rejected in favour of the PD. It features room for 3-4 crew members, 42-89 passengers, a cruise speed of 315 mph (507 km/h) and a range of 2,610 nmi (4,830 km) with max payload or 4,100 nmi (7,600 km) with max fuel. It has a fuel capacity of up to 5,512 gal (20,870 l). and a maximum height of 25,000 ft (7,600 m). It is operated by many airlines across the world, including the Pampelasgian Airlines.

The was the world's first jet-powered airliner, introduced in 1952. One of the company's most important innovations, it has regained popularity with new versions, having suffered after accidents during its early phases of use, providing the world with lots of important lessons about jet aviation. It features room for four crew members and 56-81 passengers, an operating range of 3,225 mi (2,802 nmi; 5,190 km) and a cruise speed of 840 km/h (450 kn; 520 mph) at 42,000 ft (13,000 m). The cutting edge in civilian airliners, it is a must for all respectable airlines.

Adamides-Aetos Automobile Group A.E. (Private - Based at Kerasond)
Adamides-Aetos A.E. is a major Pelasgian automobile company, which has only just started producing aircraft for military uses, in hopes to compete with Pegasos A.E.'s older but struggling jet fighter programme, bringing the two companies' historic rivalry from the automobile industry over to the aviation sector. Despite their recent entry to the sector, the Group already has some promising and revolutionary designs, which have earned the interest of Pelasgian and foreign defence officials alike.

The is a jet fighter aircraft designed and built by Adamides-Aetos Automobile Group A.E.. The S.56 is a light fighter-bomber, officially designated as a "Light Weight Strike Fighter," intended to be adopted as standard equipment across the air forces of both Pelasgia and her various allied nations. The S.56 has yet to be adapted by the Imperial Military Aviation, due to a lack of funding for such a project, but plans to adopt it as a main fighter in the early 1960s have been publicised in Senatorial hearings, while there are continuous promotion campaigns for the fighter outside of Pelasgia.

VI. Light Industry

Pelasgian light industry traces its origins to the late 18th century, with the first few textile factories, though it really started to pick up steam in the early and middle 19th century, taking advantage of Pelasgia's large reserves of raw resources, enormous trade fleet, low labour cost and low taxation, combined with conflicts in other, more industrialised nations, that allowed the Pelasgians to enter the market in order to satisfy the growing demand for household and other light industrial goods. While not nearly as important as heavy industry, light industry is an integral part of Pelasgian culture and society, as well as a major source of income both inside the Empire and outside of it. The first Pelasgian lighty industrial facilities were textile factories, due to Pelasgia's ancient tradition of producing famed and luxurious Propontine silk clothing and other fashion items, influenced by a unique mix of Pelasgo-Tiburan, Eastern and Gallo-Germanian cultural elements. Shoes and mass-produced furniture, canned food, steel cultery and other household items soon also came into play, making the lives of both Pelasgians and citizens of neighbouring countries alike much more comfortable. Household appliances and electronics soon followed, with phones, television sets, radios, dishwashers, fridges, lamps etc. soon being produced in the factories of the Empire. While fashion and cosmetics have dedicated sections of their own, here is a list of several important companies in the other sectors of Light Industry:

Kremmydiotēs A.E. (Private - Based at Cydrelis)
Originally focusing on the production of printing machines and on industrial-scale printing, the company has since then expanded into producing all sorts of household appliances, stretching from dishwashers to ovens. Famed for its quality and the longevity of its products, it is one of the most important Ligh Industrial companies in the Empire, having been founded in the mid 19th century.

Polaris A.E. (Private - Based at Anthene)
Founded in the late 19th century, the company is known as the main producer of fridges for most of Himyar, its name being practically synonymous with fridges for most Pelasgians. Just like its main competitor from Epacthus, the company has expanded into all kinds of household electronics and appliances. One of the most loved Pelasgian companies, it has steadily seen its revenues grown since its foundation.

Nikopoulos A.E. (Private - Based at Nymphaeum)
Founded in the late 19th century, it is widely considered to be one the largest and most historic consumer electronics and logistics companies in the world, producing phones, punch-card computers, computer consoles, typewriters and other electronics and logistics products. Famous for massive projects, such as its logistics projects for the Imperial railway network and the Imperial Armed Forces, Nikopoulos is an industrial and economic giant, whose activities reach far beyond Pelasgia.

Pelekanos A.E. (Private - Based at Eurypyle)
Founded as a company for baby goods and furniture in the early 20th century, the company has since expanded into industrial-scale furniture production covering all sorts of furniture that would be needed for a house, the company has since expanded with a franchise in every city in the Empire, hoping to expand abroad. Widely revered by many Pelasgians, the company has chosen to integrate local factories, production methods and styles from across the Empire, instead of merely replacing all local furniture with one style, being widely praised for its active efforts to preserve and export traditional culture from the Pelasgian core regions and all of the Empire.
Other notable mentions include:

 • Phiser Zythopoiia A.E. (Private - Based at Anthene); a beer company, the oldest and largest in Himyar, founded in 1864 by the Eiffellander-Pelasgian businessman Karl Johann Fischer (Karolos Iōannēs Phiser) in Anthene
 • Thrylos Zythopoiia A.E. (Private - Based at Therme); a beer company, foundedby an expatriate from Mehldorf in 1934 as "Zythopoiia Dytikēs Pelasgias A.E." before being purchased by a local shipping magnate
 • Aiga Chandakos A.E. (Private - Based at Acroterium); an ice-cream and Pelashian yogurt company, founded in 1924 in Acroterium, originally a small, family-owned pastry shop. It is still owned by the family which founded it.
 • Dioscorphē A.E. (Private - Based at Anthoussa); a dairy goods company, founded in the 19th century, famed for its feta cheese and traditional Pelasgian yogurt
 • Dionysos A.E. (Private - Based at Drabescus); the first industrial-scale bottling company, originally making bottles for its own wines, now having expanded into all sorts of bottle and alcoholic beverage production
 • Aiolos A.E. (Private - Based at Propontis); a major producer of sweets, especially chocolate bars, the company started in the mid 19th century as a small pastry shop
 • Papadēmētriou A.E. (Private - Based at Telmessus); the oldest and most famous Pelasgian biscuit company, founded in the late 19th century

VII. Ore Extraction, Oil & Raw Resources
Pelasgia is a country rich in raw resources, with several companies specialising in extracting these resources, so that they may be used by the other sectors of Pelasgian and foreign heavy industry. Some of the most noteworthy companies in this sector are:

 • Hēraklēs A.E. (Private - Based at Propontis); products: oil, coal, natural gas, raw steel & other raw metals
 • Titan A.E. (Private - Based at Propontis); products: raw metals, gold, diamonds & other precious stones
 • Vasiliko Petrelaio A.E. (State owned - Based at Propontis); products: oil, natural gas, coal
 • Oreionos A.E. (Private - Based at Lysimachia); products: lumber, pulp & paper, amber, marble & other raw stones
 • Karyatis A.E. (Private - Based at Anthene); products: salt, fisheries, marble & other stone ores

VIII. Oil

The Pelasgian oil industry is one of the largest in the Long Sea and all of the world, having grown significantly thanks to the tensions between Kadikistan, one of the other major oil producers in Europe, and various Gallo-Germanian, Long Sea and Gothic Sea countries as well as by deals which have given Pelasgian hydrocarbon extraction and processing companies access to large reserves in foreign, especially other Himyari, countries. Directly linked to the other resource extraction industries and the massive Pelasgian shipping industry it provides major profts for the Pelasgian economy, helping to fuel the Pelasgian industrial machine and the global economy in both literal and metaphorical senses. Most Pelasgian oil reserves are located in Pelasgia's vast Archipelaga or the southern, arid provinces.

IX. Fashion, Cultural & Cosmetics Industries
Culture and fashion are among the oldest and most globally recognised Pelasgian exports. Pelasgian silks and art have always been considered among the finest in the world and, based on these, Pelasgia's fashion and culture industry has greatly expanded, with no small support from the local population and authorities, to include many great fashion houses, such as Levantis A.E., Philippou A.E. and Laskaridēs A.E. as well as the internationally renowned Paragōges Epizephyriou A.E. and Dinos Films A.E. film studios, which are known for their historic comedies, tragedies and satirical movies, picking up on Pelasgia's long tradition in theatre and drama. Pelasgian art of all forms is highly respected, being among the oldest in the world and the first of its kind in some categories, such as theatre, while publishing houses in particular, such as Katartion A.E., Savvas A.E. and Anthemion. A.E. enjoy great success. The records company Ēchō A.E. is also widely known as one of the largest in the Long Sea.

X. Tourism & Academics
Pelasgia is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, being the holiday destinations for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people every year, with a range of summer and winter destinations. In addition to being a winter destination for most Himyaris, due to its snowy mountains which are suitable for skiing and other winter sports, Pelasgia has a massive spike in tourism during the Summer season which, due to the climate of many coastal Pelasgian regions, extends into late spring and early autumn. Academics are also a major reason for the influx of foreigners, as Pelasgia has some of the world's oldest and most prestigious universities and academies (the University of Propontis, for example, is the oldest university in the world, while the Neoplatonic Academy of Anthene is the oldest academy in the world), while others, despite having been founded more recently have made a name for themselves through innovation and research (the Imperial Polytechnic of Propontis, also known as VPP, being a prime example). Apart from the prestige and renown of these Universities and Academies, which attracts many Gallo-Germanian and more Northern students, the fact that they are the most advanced higher educational institutions in Himyar attracts many foreigners who seek to bring back the knowledge and expertise they acquire to their home countries in hopes of modernising and developping them. The Imperial government, which profits greatly from these students, since Pelasgian universities are state-owned, has sought to encourage this trend, as part of Pelasgian policy to strengthen and modernise Himyar to ensure joint prosperity and an end to exploitation and colonisation from the Gallo-Germanian and other Northern nations.

The Veniasufian Ministry of Defence would like to purchase 1 Elli Class Aircraft Carrier due to the recent suspension of plans to build our own aircraft carrier. We are also considering the purchase of submarines but would like advice on which would be most suited to our current needs.

Private Communiqué

16th of May, 1956
To the attention of Mr. Wolfgang J. Arnaut, Minister of Defence and Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Veniasufia and the Gothic Sea Isles.

Honourable Sir,

Your orders have been noted. The Elli Class aircraft carrier shall be delivered to you promptly, as it has already been completed.

Pertaining to your inquiry about submarines, each submarine class serves a different purpose. Acroterium Class submarines are the oldest of the two classes, though they last two and a half months underwater, as they are meant for long rage patrols and sorties, the sort of which a country with a large coastline and territorial waters to patrol against unwanted foreign naval presence would need. The Oceanus Class submarines are the cutting edge of submarine technology, posessing a large electric battery. They can remain underwater for long periods at the levels of most modern submarines However, once they use their battery, they can remain underwater at 210 metres, nearly twice the maximum test depth of any known submarine class, for over an hour at rather fast speeds, making them ideal for inflitration, insertion, disruption and quick attack operations.

Most submarine fleets would be comprised mainly of the first type of submarine, with certain wolfpacks of the second type. However, Veniasufia is at a rather unique position, so we are ready to accommodate any order you might have to suit your strategy and needs.

Signed and Sealed,

To the the Orthodoxy Brother and Foreign Affairs Ministers Ikaros Dragases,

Your answer to our call for arms is well received. Out of all the offers we have received, our Admirals were most impressed with what you have to offer. The Novozelenyrossiyan Defense Ministry, though protected by our strong natural border of mountains, understands the need for a strong Navy. The Ministry of Defense has an order request for the following ships:

x5 Eresos Class Destroyers.
x2 Kyparissos Class Light Cruisers.

As Christ said, we must sell our cloaks and buy swords. We look forward to future cooperation on a diplomatic and perhaps military level in the future.

Very Respectfully,
Radkov Virtusy, Chief Ambassador of the Confederated Republics.

To the attention of Mr. Damaskenos Melus, Minister of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets, of the Kingdom of @ .

Honourable Sir,

While our government has no direct say over what our bussinesses choose to do, so as to not infringe upon our citizens' economic liberties, as per our past agreements and treaties, a system of investment to industrialise Aegada as well as a measures to facilitate the shipping of Pelasgian automobiles to Aegada have been established. That being said, we realise the growing and unmet need of your Kingdom for modern automobiles, and thus we would be more than willing to meditate between the authorities and the administration of Pegasos Autmobiles A.E., Hippolochos Motors A.E., and Adamides-Aetos Automobile Group A.E. so that they open subsidiaries to produce Pelasgian automobile models in Aegada for internal consumption. If you are in accord, we would be more than willing to facilitate such an agreement.

Signed and Sealed,

Perikles Philemonos Grammatikos

To the attention of Mr. Damaskenos Melus, Minister of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets, of the Kingdom of @ .

Honourable Sir,

The first proposal of the three companies along with the Imperial Government for the accord in question would be based on the following terms:
1. Pegasos Automobiles A.E., Hippolochos Motors A.E., and Adamides-Aetos Automobile Group A.E. will construct factories in the Kingdom of Aegada, starting with a single factory for each company in Pergomenus, with more to be possibly constructed to satisfy a future increase in demand.
2. The factories may only produce products for domestic consumption within the Kingdom of Aegada, with any and all export of these products being strictly prohibited.
3. The use of local resources and labour, as well as Pelasgian expertise, is allowed and encouraged, so as to boost Aegada's industrial growth.
4. Prices may vary from those of identical products in Pelasgia, so as to accurately reflect the income, needs and living standards of Aegadans.
5. New models may be constructed in Aegada, to accurately reflect local market conditions and preferences, though the provisions of clause 2 apply to them. The export of such models, or their designs, for production and/or consumption in Pelasgia and abroad is strictly prohibited.
6. The subsidiaries of the three companies may not become independent companies and may not sell the rights to any of their products and/or research to local or foreign companies without the consent of their parent companies.
7. Any original intellectual property of the subsidiary companies is the joint intellectual property of the subsidiaries and their parent companies.
8. Any changes to this agreement must be jointly and unanimously agreed upon by the authorities of the Kingdom of Aegada and the Pelasgian Empire, as well as the
three companies (Pegasos Automobiles A.E., Hippolochos Motors A.E., and Adamides-Aetos Automobile Group A.E.).

All these terms are negotiable.

Signed and Sealed,

Perikles Philemonos Grammatikos

To the attention of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Eiffelland.

To whom it may concern,

While no Arethousa-class Guided Missile Destroyers have been produced yet, four new ships could be added to the list of planned ships, which already contains the ten destroyers that have been ordered by the Imperial War Navy. The first wave of completed ships is expected to be completed by the end of 1958, while the last few ships will be launched by 1960. As per the approval of the Imperial Ministry of National Defence and the Koinovoulio, and in accordance with past treaties, the friendly nation of Eiffelland is more than welcome to order the ships in question. That being said, Eiffelland will have to provide Imperial Shipyards A.E. with names for the four planned ships.

Signed and Sealed,

Perikles Philemonos Grammatikos

We would like to request 1 Pēgasos Deukaliōn plane for testing and evaluation, to be delivered to FAF Oland. We are more than happy to welcome corporate or government representatives from Pelasgia to oversee the testing process. If the aircraft meets with the Ministry's desired specifications, our current budget model would allow for 8 such aircraft, as well as an option for 4 more, as well as contracts to provide spare parts and training for maintenance crews.

To the attention of the Bureau of Procurement of the Ministry of the Defence of the Federal Republic of @ .

To whom it may concern,

Pēgasos A.E. would be more than willing to provide the Federal Republic with one Pēgasos Deukaliōn. While the Empire has the utmost confidence in the authorities of Telora, as per Imperial Law 456/1956, the Deukaliōn is classified as "sensitive war materiel" due to its being a cutting-edge technology, and the Imperial Government would need to be represented during the trials. With the approval of the Federal Republic's authorities, Taxiarchos (Air Commodore) Ioannes Gregoriades of the Imperial Military Aviation would be fulfilling that requirement with his presence. The Air Commodore played a part in the tests and the development of the Deukaliōn, so he would be capable to answer any questions the Teloran officials might have, within reasonable bounds of course.

Signed and Sealed,

Nikolaos Kallerges
