I am writing today to request that Pelasgian Shipyards A.E. and the Aurarian Ministry of Defense begin negotiations for the purchase of two Titan-class Landing Platform Dock Ships, constructed by Pelasgian Shipyards A.E. for delivery to the Aurarian Republican Navy.

As part of a recent report conducted by the Ministry, the ability to transport troops at faster, larger, and safer quantities has been determined a goal of the Republican Military moving forward. Part of the recommendations provided call for the purchase/construction of two amphibious assault ships to further assist in naval operations deemed necessary for the defense of the Republic.

The good faith exhibited from the Aurarian and Pelasgian Governments, especially in the light of the decisive victory the two countries achieved against the Justosian Navy in the Hamar Sea compels the Aurarians to look toward Pelasgia, a growing ally across the Long Sea, as a partner in this endeavor. Of course, we are willing to negotiate terms that are mutually agreeable.

My staff stands committed to working with yours as we initiate our plans for growth.

Due to the conflict in the Souhé region of Songa, President Baako Eniola has authorized the creation of the previously mentioned Souhé Regional Counter-Terrorism Unit, which will be specialized in dealing with the Jihadist threat in the area. The equipment we are looking to purchase will allow the unit to easily combat the fighters in the area, whom we believe are under-equipped to sustain a long battle with our forces.

Given recent developments in the Long Sea, the Imperial Government has seen fit to issue a preliminary inquiry into purchases of anti-submarine systems to equip the Imperial Pelasgian Navy (IPN). Such systems must include anti-submarine frigates and helicopters in addition to those already held or ordered by the IPN, though they may include additional systems, provided the utility and cost efficacy thereof can be proven by the submitting company.

A tender has not yet been issued, so the purpose of this inquiry is to evaluate the size of the tender in question. The deadline for submissions is June 2. Knowledge of this inquiry must be restricted to a need to know basis, with appropriate highest-level security clearance, as it is part of the Naval Rearmament Programme, the existence, nature and purpose of which are considered State Secrets.
