Nation prepares for the crowning of Princess Yuliya Anastasia as Grand Princess Yuliya II
  • Princess Amalia Sofia to become the 2nd Grand Princess Vitebsk
  • Grand Royal Ball to be organised in Vitebsk, with foreign delegates invited
  • Wave of optimism hits the nation
The royal capital of Vitebsk is preparing to enter a new era as the nation is waiting for the investiture of Vitebsk's 2nd Grand Princess regnant in all of its history. After his Majesty, King Alyaksandr III has signed the acts of abdication on his hospital bed and has thus renounced his position as monarch of the Vitebskian, the National Rada had to come together in respect to the ancient traditions of the land, to invest the eldest child of the monarch with the status of the heir to the throne.

There were some issues this time, as the Salic laws of the Kingdom of Polesa has made it clear that only male members of the royal house are to become monarchs, but as his majesty had no male issue, only daughters, the Rada made an exception and appointed the eldest daughter of his majesty as the heir to the throne, thus pushing Princess Yuliya Anastasia Alyaksandreevna into the position of future Grand Princess Yuliya II.

It is not the first time Vitebks will have a Grand Princess, as in the 1700s, Grand Princess Yuliya I came to the throne and managed to unite Vitebsk rising it from the depths of existential crisis and pushing it into a westernising trajectory, modernising the state institution, its economy and the military forces. It is thus a name which, for everyone knowing the tiniest bit of Vitebskian history, carries the extreme weight of the greatest of Vitebskian monarchs. The coincidence of the returning of a princess named Yuliya to the throne has been seen by many as a symbol of the fate, sparking optimism for the future, as many expect economic book and greatness to be upon the nation.

Princess Yuliya Anastasiya Alyaksandreevna has been known in many circles around the nations for her charity work, as she donated many of her stipends to orphanages and schools around the nation and has kept in touch with the people as she travelled to all the corners of Vitebsk, meeting with the impoverished and the unfortunate, striving to aid them.

"It is our great privilege, to see the rise of yet another Yuliya to the White Eagle Throne. The Rada, the Government and the People will work closely together with her majesty, the future Grand Princess Yuliya II and we will provide, for this nation deserves to reach greatness. A new era is upon us, and like in the historical times of the 18th century, we will enter a phase of development unseen as of yet, as our economy will rise and our people will enjoy prosperity. Myself and the government will work tirelessly to see it happen," stated Prime Minister Boguslav Kavalenak.

The coronation is set to take place at the St. George Cathedral in Vitebsk, the headquarters of the Vitebskian Orthodox Church and the historical Cathedral where monarchs of Vitebsk have been crowned since the 16th century. After the service at the church, a royal ball is organised at the Royal Palace, with delegates from all over the world invited for the event.

EDIT: IGNORE; DIFFERENT ERA; DIFFERENT VITEBSK, NOT POLESIA;

Hetman Ruslan Ivanchenko signs policy plan on Tarusan Civil War
  • The Polesian State to remain neutral in Tarusan Civil War
  • Authorities will not criminalise foreign volunteers
  • Government promises security, stability and no need to fear tomorrow for Polesians
With the war in the north slowly but steadily growing in intensity, more and more Polesians are fearful that the western alliance with Tianlong on one side will enter a state of open hostilities against the government led by Tsar Ivan Kiselev in Kremlyov, pushing thus the whole world in a state for global conflict, with that deeply hurting the Polesian State too.

The Tsardom of Tarusa, the largest and most powerful of Slavic nations, has fallen into a state of civil war between two pretenders on the throne, one based in Kremlyov, Ivan, and another in Kispest, Konstantin. The Polesians have felt they were tied up to old bonds with Tarusa, especially economical and cultural, but a lot of them have been replaced of fears that the war might affect the quality of life of the Polessians or even worse, expand and spill over the neighbouring countries.

To this, after his weekly meeting with Prime Minister Danylo Uvarov, his excellency, Hetman Ruslan Ivanchenko has signed a decree dubbed the "Tarusan War Policy Plan", stating that in whatever case, the Polesian State must remain neutral and not choose a side between the Ivanist Kremlyov and Konstantinist Kispest. At the press conference after the signing of the decree, the Hetman stated that it is of utmost importance that the Polesian state must remain neutral and that the duty of the nation towards to people to to safeguard their interests and protect them against any potential issues.

The authorities have also stated that they have knowledge of many people interested in aiding one faction or another in the Tarusan Civil War and thus have stated that the law prohibiting the service in foreign armies will not be enforced. The authorities stated that they know of as much as 3,000 people interested in aiding Kispest and the Konstantinist pretenders and 1,500 interested in going to Kremlyov to aid Ivan and the Tarusan loyalists.

"We are interested in seeing the nation remain stable and provide security for the people. The conflict within the Kiselev imperial family is tragic but it is not our conflict, as much as Polesia, Volodymyr and Tarusa are cultural and linguistical brothers. The Polesian State will ensure that the Polesian people will not have to fear or be concerned for tomorrow in this volatile world," stated his excellency, Hetman Ruslan Ivanchenko.

Some analysts have stated that they authorities use this lax approach towards volunteers with the hopes that many radical members of the society leave for Tarusa or Csengia and not return to ruffle the government's and society's feathers.

Local and Foreign Tourists flock to Polesia's Oak Coast as heatwave hits

  • Oak Coast (Vitebsk-Ovruch Coast) is the centre of the Polesian Riviera
  • Temperatures from 30 to 37 degrees expected for the next two weeks
  • Quality services and extremely low prices bring many foreign tourists
You must be registered for see images
The Holiday Season along the Oak Coast has officially started as the government has cut the ribbon for it in front of the Hotel Opal, in the resort of Evxinograd, the largest of the resorts situated on the coast of the Axshaina Sea, between Vitebsk and Ovruch. Created by the National Corporatist Regime back in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the resorts of the Oak Coast, each with a different vibe, have always used peculiar names, going the ones closest to Vitebsk which used planet names such as Yupiter, Venera (Venus), Saturn and Neptun, to the ones by Ovruch, which are named after the trade unions which used they were reserved for, such as Energetik or Lokomotyv. Between them, lies the biggest, Evxinograd, which is also Polesia's largest settlement which gets a great seasonal migration, from 250,000 people in the summer, to only a few hundreds in the winter.

The Summer Holiday Season officially starts on the 15th of July with the beginning of the Oakfest, a music festival in Evxinograd, which bring forth the best new talents of Polesia but also dedicated names from foreign countries. In the past three editions, a the festival took place under the umbrella of Ostwave, with many big names from Ostmark receiving a royal welcoming to the riviera of the Polesian State. This year, many local names are set to appear on the scene of the 5 day festival, but also Ostmarkers such as Valeria Dahrendorf, T&J and Neon Delight, besides Rheinbunders such as Ziller, Alexandra & Michael Kretovic, and Pelasgians such as Konstantinos Argyros and Nikos Ziogalas. More than 80,000 are expected to come to the festival, with the nearly quarter million beds of the resort all reserved up until mid September, when the Summer Season ends.

The surprise for many in the authorities has been the success in advertising the Polesian Oak Coast and rebranding it as the perfect party spot for foreign tourists, as places like Evxinograd, while being seen as expensive for the average Polesian, is merely a 10th of the cost of a holiday in the likes of Eiffelland's Bad Hersfelt or Ebria's Chiste or Algeciras. Despite the growing tensions and fears that a global war may start, or maybe because of it, many tourists are flocking to the Polesian Rivier in what is seen either as a last great holiday before the future hard times, or as a perfect, peaceful and tranquil place, far away from the tension flashpoints. Flights from Gallo-Germania and north Himyar to Polesia have seen a huge increase in frequency in the past two weeks.

The weather seems to be extremely good at this time, although a heatwave from Himyar will also increase temperatures from a normal 30-32 degrees to up to 37-39, especially in the southern part, between Evxinograd and Ovruch. The Ministry of Health recommends the people to wear sunscreen lotions and to not go to the beach between noon and 5pm, but rather between 9-11 in the morning and 5-8 in the evening.

Hetman visits state farms to encourage production

  • Polesia is recognised as one of the breadbaskets of the world
  • Harvest season for the winter wheat is in July and August
  • Tarusan civil war disrupts harvest season in the Tsardom
You must be registered for see images
With the harvest season is full swing, and the recent disruptions from the mining crisis in the Meridian and Gothic Seas, but also with the Tarusan Civil War raging in the north and far west in Gallo-Germania, Polesian farmers sieze the initiative and believe that the record breaking harvest of this season will bring further prosperity to the realm and its people, as grain prices have risen steadily since the current string of crises started with the collapse of Pannonia.

South-Central Tarusa, Pannonia, Neustria and Polesia have traditionally been seen as the breadbaskets of the Gallo-Germania and the borderlands between them and Toyou, and with the war in Tarusa, collapse of Pannonia and the mining of Buenaventura Bay, followed by the Blockade of Csengia by Ivanist forces, this has brought to a halt the production and export of both the Tarusan and Pannonian basins, leaving Neustria and Polesia to be some of the greatest cereal producers in the traditional "old world", with the Anti-State, Westernesse and more limited, Tianlong, being important producers too, although the latter's great population leaves little to no foodstuff for exports and is a net importer, despite its production capacities.

His excellency, Hetman Ruslan Ivanchenko has called this current state of affairs a "golden, albeit morbid, oportunity for Polesia,' as the nation prepares to harvest the winter wheat, and to export it, making use of the world's increasing demands and decreasing supply, especially as this year proved to be a record breaking one, with about 65 million tonnes of wheat produced from 17 million hectares of sowed land.

The revenue from exporting the said cereal is set to even push the Polesian budget into surplus, as per the reports of the government, which also stated that about 75% of the wheat production comes from state farms, with 20% coming from cooperative farms and the rest of 5% coming from private producers or foreign owned companies.

"It is important to be realistic with the current events. The Polesian state has a lot to win by being stable and neutral, trading with the whole world, and these earnings, of course, will return to the state and its people, but we must not believe that what we see this year is a new norm. No, it is an extraordinary situation that comes from a set of circumstances that might not be here this autumn, let alone the next year. For this, I do observe the vulnerabilities and issues of the Polesian agricultural sector, which still lacks a lot in industrialisation and infrastructure. A lot of the state farms use old equipment, a lot of the cooperative farms lack equipment completely. I am here to congratulate our workers, for the Polesian farmer, harvesting his lands, in the Vyshyvanka, is just... the epithome of Polesian culture, and I cannot but be brought to tears by the image," stated the Hetman as he paused to rub his eyes with a hankerchief, "...even so, to continue with the image of the stern but loving father to the people, I cannot but wonder how much we could have done if we would have had a fully automised and industrialised and modernised agriculture," stated his excellency as he was visiting the Kozhusky State Farm, 30 kilometres from Vilcha, in the interior of the Great Polesian Lowlands.

The government stated that a lot of the revenues from this export will return back in agriculture through investments in the State farms and the creation of an Argarian Cooperative Credit Bank, which will allow private farmers and cooperative farms to access low-interest loans to buy equipments such as tractors, combine harvesters and even renovating or building infrastructure such as grain elevators.

We have the feeling that we can help out with modernizing the equipment of the Polesian agricultural sector. Would it be possible to set up a teleconference so that we can present the agricultural machines that we build? We cpuld also send a representative.
