Until we figure this out, I am suspending my RP for reasons that may or may not be clear in the future. I.e. geography will be important to how I would move forward with it.

Not necessarily, by your logic Australia then should be a Chinese colony... :p

point noted.

I decided to make a new world option, and I do not expect it to be particularly popular with Fleur or the majority who wants little change.

The clusters and really everything were based off me, so it would need a lot more input from players. Again, I understand this resets more than it helps so I am not at all emotionally invested in this.

I LOVE it. Especially the idea about moving the Graeco-Romans, like moi, to north-east Himyar (I got the name right I hope).

EDIT: I actually like the 1950s setting. Nice balance between the two halfs of the 20th century.

Well... thus far we haven't really figured out anything and I was hoping that more feedback could be given on my map. What works? What doesn't?

Thus far my impression is that it's disliked, and if that is the case, I'll delete it and sit around and wait until we can figure stuff out.

EDIT: Additionally, the only feedback I've seen, is that despite encouragement for maps that reach the edges, like the old classic map... nobody actually likes that. I'll make an edited map with that no longer part.

I was in the camp that wanted a radical change to the map and I think this is a good design. I also like Coro's map but I 100% opposed to the idea of having an "off-map" world. Now obviously if majority rules, then I must work to normalize democracy and will support such a move. I'd just strongly prefer having the whole world visible.

Just my two cents amigos

I was a fan of the off-world design showed in Coro's map. I thought it had a mystique feel to it. But as Jurzy just said, I'm afraid the majority is leaning towards ''continents'' over one landmass. And I'm okay with that.

I like Yanky's map too. I like that there's a ''Britannia'' area for British Isles nations. Finally Ivernia can find it's own people! :D

Hey you did your best man, we all thank you for it. We need active members of the community. But democracy does tend to have its way of creating both Obamas and McCains even if both put a lot of work into their campaigns. <3

Here is something to cheer you up:

I should have a second draft in the next 2-4 hours. Watching hockey at the same time.

EDIT: Got invited to dinner and a movie. Almost done, will post once I get home.

I actually like both Coro's and Kyle's maps, but I would be inclined to support Coro's more. I just see in it more strategic points that can spark some RP, than in Kyle's. Also, I have no problem is its a world wide map or there are some parts that are not represented on the map.

I will be honest with you folks, has long I can play with my "colonial world" and he doesn't cease do exist, i consider all map options valid.

Thats my 2 cents folks, from what i have read i think must of the solutions have my "Like" on it.

I am in favour of Coro's map proposal as presented on 30 April, but I can also live with Kyle's map proposal.

The reason why I favour Coro's map proposal, is that we can continue our RPs. There is one remark though, I did request an enlargement of my land ;)

From the people who have spoken their peeps it seems like we should move forward with Coro's map. I'll try to get in contact with him and Davy and we can map team a final draft.

Also prefer Coro's proposal, but hoping it will be world map instead a mere regional map. Ergo, include some polar regions and have the southern and eastern continents completed. Once more: good job! :)

Apparently I am the only one who likes Kyle's better. Oh well, that is life. But if we do choose Coro's can we pleaseee make it a world map? Half of our active players have distinctly non European nations. Besides modern European countries are so alike it would be quite boring to just RP them. Even nations around Europe are not that much different from European countries or eachother as they are more or less descended from the Caliphate and European Colonial Empires.

I have no preferences on the map, as stated before my terms can be realised on any map.

However, Coro's map did make my eyes itch like that time in the army when I decided to take off my gasmask during a teargas exercise

If we do go ahead with it, please make a more pH-neutral color palette!

I get that a lot of people want a world map but if we have a world map with big continents and even ice caps what exactly is the change? Are these massive continents even going to be used? We have like 10 active players. We have like 3 nations on the map that have been there rping for a year.

The original suggestion was to cut away landmass that wasn't being used and to redraw the map to make us closer together. I don't think you guys got that concept because nobody voted against it, but being keep asking for a map exactly like the old one.

I don't mind if there isn't a change if people don't want it, but it is very confusing to see everyone vote yes to my idea and then ask coro to create a map with none of the proposed changes.

I think that what we want is to cut down space but not the number of continents. I do not know about others but I voted yes so that the continents we have become smaller and we all come closer, not so that we are forced into a single continent and pretty much kill the diversity in size and nationality that makes our current map great. Perhaps we should get another poll so that people can just clear up what they each want? Right now like four of us have done so.

I like both of the maps, but I am in favour of Vitrais map. I think that an single continent would be an bad idea for RP.
