"The Pordenài book festival is a yearly meeting point of cultures, stories and people; a friendly and neutral ground for traditions and customs to weave together with innovation and progress"

In June 2016 Mayor Matèi Çivalîr decided to grant the use of the ground floor and the plaza of the town hall to the event organizers, offering more room for even more authors to join; the same year the "Ģalùt" award was created to reward the best book of Gallia, the golden statue of a capercaillie, chosen as symbol of Gallia by the town, was first given to the Friulian author Jusèp Placegnòve.
This year the festival will also give a monetary prize to the best book of Europe in an attempt to expand further the importance of the event.

Any writer can join the competition by filling a simple module you'll find at the bottom of this page.
The jury, composed by seven eminent public figures from Friuli and Gallia, will only vote books from authors present at the event.
Only Gallian authors can hope to win the Ģalùt, but everyone can participate to win the best book of Europe prize.

_________THE FESTIVAL
