The Constitutional State welcomes the apprehension of a dangerous communist criminal and his impending trial for crimes against freedom. At the same time the pervasiveness of the red scourge in Boganhem should remind the potentates of the kingdom of the presence of justified grievances of the Bogan people, such as the restriction of basic human rights like the freedom of movement. Bogan society must move ahead with a clear commitment to the goal of Post-Delegationism.

Sozialdemokraten rüsten für die Bürgertagswahl
Social-Democrats Gear Up For Bürgertag Elections
Flensburg

The Free Cities are only some weeks away from the legislative elections for the Bürgertag (ooc: lower house), and all of the political parties are preparing their strategies and proposals. The first were the Social-Democrats, whose main protagonist and candidate for Speaker of the Bürgertag is Claus Fischer, the strongman of the party. Fischer spoke today in Universität Flensburg before thousands of students, proposing the SDP's main guidelines for the coming elections:

"What we will bring to the Free Cities is Justice. In the long decades of Citizens' Alliance rule, we might have assured formal justice - but what about material justice? Palpable justice? Justice in economics? Justice to refugees? There is none. But most people didn't seem to care - we all thought it was part of our historical character. But merchant cities cannot remain free-market heavens forever - change must come. How come in such a prosperous union of cities as we are, how come have we a miserable minimum wage? 500 marks? While economists agree it would do absolutely no harm to economy if the minimum wage was 1000? But no - the CA and the Liberals are prophets and act on the behalf of that sacred being - the Market, the Free Market. Let's put an end - not on the free market, but on the market tyranny. Let's put the human being at the center of the equation - that way, we avoid self-righteousness - both from the right, as I said, and from the extreme-left."

Claus Fischer is viewed by some critics as a potential Speaker and possible President in the future

After saying that, he was strongly applauded by the audience and moved on to the next hot topic of these elections - relations with the King.

"Rikhard V is our King and we accept him. However, his ancestors signed a pact and he confirmed it when he rose to the throne - there would be no turning back in our liberties - irrevogable - so says the Peace of Seeshloss and the Royal Charter Concerning the Statute of the Free Cities' League of 1750. And so, we must not do like Karl Larenz does - deliver ourselves at the King's mercy, allow for the construction of a wall or allow crowds of KSP agents in our cities. If a Bogan subject decides to come to Lübeck, if the SDP rules, he will be welcome. If he wants to return, we'll put no restrictions. But we shall not put them, and in that I agree with one of my opponents, the liberal Anton Adler, at the mercy of the KSP!"The appearant passivity of Bürgermeisternratpräsident Karl Larenz regarding the ongoing construction of a five-inch wall arround our territory is a hot topic in these elections, with both the SDP and the Freie Liberale Partei (FLP) criticizing Larenz's party Bürger-Bund (Citizens' Alliance), that dominates the Free Cities' political scene since the 60's. The question all ask is - is the BB's days of power at an end? Polls show results like: BB - 45%-37%; SDP - 39%-33%; FLP - 25%-20%, so, it's still very uncertain. However, for the BB to continue to govern it needs to join in coalition with the FLP or the FLP might join the Social-Democrats - making the Liberals the key for these elections.

Di Nationale Uranium Anrëshung Proyekt - Ën Stepp Närer Autarki
The National Uranium Enrichment Project - A Step Closer to Self-Sufficiency
Grëveld, Koldland

Today, His Majesty King Rikhard V has visited the National Nuclear Complex in Grëveld, Koldland. The main purpouse of this visit was to make the public know the enormous projects being made in the NUAP - National Uranium Enrichment Project. As it may be o general knowledge, natural ocourring uranium can be found in various places across Koldland and Goddhaus - upon knowning this in 2000, King Rikhard has signed a Royal Decree to start the project of uranium enrichment.

Meanwhile, the National Nuclear Complex, spanning several hectares, has been built in Grëveld in Koldland, and has been, since 2005, proceeding to uranium enrichment.

His Majesty visted Grëveld accompaigned by Chancellor Yurgen Toefel and guided by the plant's superior director, Herbert Shvëtëger. After inspecting each area, our always knowledge-seeking King demanded an explanation by Shvëtëger. Upon finishing the visit, His Majesty was visibly satisfied, and gave a small press-conference on the advantages of self-sufficiency.

"Soon, we'll be able to produce enough energy to supply Boganhem's needs - we won't need to import power anymore. I must stress the importance of energy self-sufficiency. Since electricity and power are needed to keep a country working, a country who can provide its own energy will gain an independence without precedent. Also, this plant will produce as twice as much power as our current coal plants produce."Shëntëger added that "the possibilty of exporting surplus energy will further the profitability of our plant"

We ask that observors are admitted into the country and granted access to the facilities, to assure to the public of Europe that Boganhems nuclear ambitions serve no military purpose.

We assure the Commissariate for Foreign Affairs that Boganhem has no military purpouse on its nuclear ambitions. As we are known as an isolationist country, it would not make sense for us to arm ourselves and break our long-time foreign policy.

Assurances are one thing - but a neutral party of observors is required to give the international community assurance that Boganhem does not seek to faciliate nuclear weaponry.

If so is discussed within the legal framework of the Council of Nations, we may find it acceptable if the terms please us. Non-interference in states' affairs is still a principle of international law. Once again, we stress the incoherence in our foreign policy if we developed nuclear weaponry.

Boganisch Urananreicherungsprogramm bewirkt eine in der internationalen Gemeinschaft rühren
Bogan Uranium Enrichment Porgramme Causes a Stir in the International Community
Malachor

Yesterday, King Rikhard V announced that Boganhem was conducting its own uranium enrichment programme in the Grinveld Nuclear Complex, taking advantage of the large natural uranium ores that exist in that area. While speaking, the King stressed the need of energetic independence and self-relience - as we know, Bogan coal is running out, there is no oil and there is no Sun. So, it would seem a natural choice for the Royal Government to use nuclear sooner or later.

However, the announcement of the programme in the Daglishes Harrold (English Edition) caught the international community by surprise - Carentania was the first foreign state to object, not trusting in the peaceful ends of the programme. Then, in a strange move, the Allied States of Kyiv started a discussion in the CoN General Assembly, with the objective of demanding the end of the programme. After the Bogan envoy, Karl fon Krakenveld, defended the programme, the Serbovian delegate proposed a more moderate solution - there would be no problem with the programme, as long an independent commission could inspect the Grinveld facility - that solution was found more acceptable to fon Krakenveld, who told the Mecklenburger Zeitung that he would not accept, every, a proposal that would cease the programme, which he considers "essential to the Kingdom's, and that includes the Free Cities, development."

Our resident analysts have commented on the situation:

Friedrich Schwarzholz: "This reaction is not surprising - Boganhem has always been discriminated against in the International Community. Perhaps because it's not Christian, perhaps because of its closed political regime, perhaps because of all the mystery sorrounding Boganhem proper. Most foreigners only visited the Free Cities, as it is difficult to reach Boganhem proper. I sincerily trust the peaceful end of this programme - when a State sees itself without energy sources, it must look for alternatives, and considering the amount of uranium existing underground in Koldland, it would be intelligent to take advantage of it. Anyway, Boganhem is not a member of the CoN and, as such, any resolution of the Assembly or the Council will not be legally binding, and I hope the CoN, the international law organ par excellence, won't disrespect it."
Friedrich Schwarzholz is an International Relations and International Law Professor at Universität Lübeck, and is a regular writer in the Mecklenburger Zeitung. He is a moderate conservative and sympathetic towards the Kingdom.

Gudrun Schneider: "I cannot trust Rikhard V's word on the peaceful ends of this programme. Whoever doesn't see the recent rearmament process of the Royal Army must be blind - new tanks, new guns, new vessels. Rikhard V is up to something, and an uranium enrichment project is to be suspected - God knows what will he do if he ever gets access to a nuke - the Free Cities' own protection is at stake... I hope that the CoN can take effective action. Unfourtunately, since Boganhem is not a CoN member, all of its acts are non binding..."
Gudrun Schneider is the former Bürgermeister of Flensburg, and the first ever female Bürgermeister in the Free Cities' history. Now, she sits in the Bürgertag with the SDP. She is a social-democrat and known hostile to the Kingdom.

Die Liberalen stehen mit Sozialdemokraten in der Bund-Königreich Beziehungen Fragen.
Liberals Stand With Social-Democrats In League-Kingdom Relations Issues
Grünebaden

Today, when speaking to a crowd in Grünebaden, in which many Bogan refugees live, President of the Freie Liberale Partei Anton Adler, announced that, in the future Bürgertag, the FLP would stand with the Social-Democrats in League-Kingdom relations issues. Adler supported Fischer’s last week speech criticizing Larenz’s “conduct of submission” towards the Kingdom’s actions, stressing the need for a “defined League-Kingdom relations policy, a policy that is both coherent and strong”.

For Adler, the building of the wall is “scandalous” and, for the first time in the campaign, he raised the nuclear issue. Adler, concerned with the development of the International Community’s handling of the affairs, warns the public that: “if the Kingdom is effectively developing nuclear weapons, we must be aware that the FSB will also have nuclear weapons, since our Army is Boganhem’s Army. So, in case things get ugly, we’ll be targets…”. However, he stated that “The Kingdom’s diplomacy efforts and apparent openness to foreign inspections seems to be reassuring.”

After a stroll by Grünebaden and several conversations with refugees and local residents, Adler announced that the Bürger-Bund’s days “are over”. In the most optimistic polls, the FLP and the SDP gain an absolute majority – after that, Adler says – he wants a Bürgermeisternratpräsident“a majority, a government and a president” it’s the liberal leader’s desire.

Di Bogan-Kompleks - Vaum Nikt di Internatsionale Gezelshep Fortroen Boganhem

The Bogan Complex - Why Doesn't the International Community Trust Boganhem
by the Daglishes Harrold Director, Marta Marksun

The events of the last week strike me as one more symptom of the International Community's distrust of Boganhem - it is an undeniable fact. Should we be ashamed of it? Should we stand proudly alone?

The "Bogan Complex" started when, around the turn of the millenium, almost of all Europe was coverted to Christianity - but the Bogans, who chose not to ignore their traditions and not to forgo years of cultural achievement just for the sake of integration, resisted. And no crusader ever got to shed blood in our cold soil, for soon we sent a message to the Respublica Christiana - we are not you, we do not accept a selfish God, we do not accept that the woman is degrated as a mere helper of the man, we do not forgo our connection with nature, the manifestations of the spiritual everyday - we did not want a religion of slaves either, we sticked with a religion of the strong, the independent, the self-relient - the one who succeeds. Of course, like many Christians think, we do not ignore or kill beggars or poor people - we help them too, but we are not constantly in atonement and in repent - we are proud.

Our commitment to recognize the message of the true Gods who created and rule the World as the message that guides our lives cost us isolation for a long time - but with the benefit of peace, security and stability.

But the other countries, selfish, failed to see that - ignoring Boganhem as just a pagan pariah state - but we are not alone. The brave people of Warr kept themselves immaculate from the Christian virus too, and I salute them. Now it's time for attitudes to change - we must not hostilize other countries, even though they are the ones who hostilize us - we must stand proudly alone and reach our hand to those who can trust us, not those who see a nuclear plant as a WMD plan.

Et libe Boganhem!

Kantsler Brangert 'Für-Liben' Herren As 'Befärlish and Ferlunfless'
Chancellor Dismisses 'Pro'-Life Lords As 'Dangerous and Irrational'
Malachor, Malachor

In the last weeks, the Hochgamot had been discussing some new issues, issues which His Majesty has not yet taken an official position on. Those issues were issues that rarely show up in Bogan politics but, somewhat, they came up recently. It's the so-called 'Pro-Life Group', a group of thirteen Lords in the Hochgamot that has been trying to convince both the Chancellor and the Undergamot to think and take a position in their two 'key-issues', abortion and euthanasia. The spokesman of the group, Herr Robert fon Fikteveld has announced in a press-conference in Malachor the leitmotif of the group:

"We believe that there are some practices we've been doing in Boganhem for too much long - if we want to enter the group of civilized nations, we must limit the barbaric way of abortion and the self-destructive euthanasia. Abortion is homicide, but this time, the victim is not yet born - but it is a person. Not to talk about the perfectly acceptable practice of killing newborns with physical or mental disability - that's even worse. As to euthanasia, we should limit peoples' ability to control their own life - when one is sick and thinks it's incurable, he will act by fear and maybe, for example, the disease was not terminal. We've got to think in all those variables..."

Although the group's ideas were ridiculed by many Lords in the Hochgamot, including Lord fon Rodfluss, who said the group's proposals were "ridiculous and culturally incompatible. That's the same thing as to force Jews to be charitable and Asians to be individualistic - it just does not match."

Trying to bring calm to the Hochgamot, Chancellor Yurgen Toefel spoke today in the Chancellary, also criticising the group: "Their demands are ridiculous - why can't two parents who see their son is disabled, abort him? It's natural and it's done in a lot of countries over Europe - it's morally wrong to bring a disabled person to a world hostile to them, as it is morally wrong to force a poor person to have a son the person cannot support. Abortion was never condemned in Boganhem and I doubt it will ever be. As to euthanasia, I see no problem in a person wanting to kill himself, it's up to the person. But I'd like to stress the danger of this group, that is not only dangerous but irrational - it brings some Christian influence... The Christians with their overzealous interpretation of the 'sanctity of life' decide to extend it people who were not born, and force the parents into a life of suffering, for the sake of one child. And they look upon the individual as a child too, not letting him take important decisions. I sincerely hope there is no Christian money or influence behind this 'pro-life' group. The only important question it raised was the question of arbitrary baby killings - it is acceptable for one to kill a gravely disabled newborn, but I think it's not acceptable the fact that the Law does not impose any limit. Anyway, that's pure rationality. What the 'pro-lifes' do with raising the issue of abortion and euthanasia is bring dangerous Christian influences to Boganhem..."

The question will remain pending until the King returns from a weekend break. It is expected that His Majesty will decide on the issue as soon as he returns.

Der letzte Widerstand der BB - kann sie halten ihre Mehrheit?
The Citizens' Alliance's Last Stand - Can They Hold Their Majority?
Flensburg

In an unusual move, today, all major figures of the Citizens' Alliance (Bürger-Bund - BB) have held an enormous campaign action in Flensburg, a city that is a traditional SDP stronghold. Karl Larenz, the BB's leader, Bürgermeister of Totwald and the Bürgermeisternratpräsident, was the guest of honour, giving a little introductory speech recalling what had the BB done for the Cities:

"For 40 years has the BB been helping the Free Cities. Without having to rennounce to our traditions and hundred-years rights, we have managed to build one of the most developed economies in Europe, with soaring growth rates - do you need more arguments? I think those are just more than enough, when you consider our successful management of Kingdom-League relations - with these two factors combined, we have managed do create an independent and rich community."

Gerhard Schiller, the Speaker of the Bürgertag, was the most active, as he is trying to keep his place as Speaker of our legislative body. Schiller has warned against the SDP and FLP's"irresponsible" League-Kingdom policy and against the danger of what he coined as "left-wing budget waste".

Other powerful BB names like C.W. Canaris and Johan Engisch were present and, even in a hostile city, the BB gathered 10,000 people in the Mai-Platz.

Die Kiewer Ultimatum und die Zukunft des Königreiches und der Bund
The Kyivan Ultimatum and the Future of the Kingdom and the League
by Reiter Homburg

Friday, the Supreme Leader of the Allied States of Kyiv, Marshall Petryshyn, issued an ultimatum against the Kingdom of Boganhem regarding its uranium enrichment programme. One can say that this dreadful event marks Boganhem’s turbulent entry in the International Community, following its years of isolation.

Following the ultimatum, the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Frank fon Krakkenveld, present a very well-constructed answer, that showcases his deep knowledge of International Law, a rarity in state officers coming from Boganhem proper. Krakkenveld questioned how far a State can go in defending the ‘interest’ of the International Community and sacrificing one of the ‘holy’ principles of International Law, the principle of non-interference, always underlining the fact that Boganhem would be incoherent with its isolationist policies if it developed nuclear weaponry and nuclear energy for ends other than peaceful. I must concour, in the quality of a fellow International Law scholar, with fon Krakkenveld – in light of the principles, the customs and other rules of International Law, Kyiv’s actions are unacceptable.

But the fact that intrests the most to my fellow Free Cities’ League citizens is: how will the League be affected by these recent developments? Many people in the press, especially the left-wing press, question themselves whether it is worth it continuing under the ‘protection’ of the Bogan King if the League’s interests are not warded… In my opinion, it would make absolutely no sense if Kyiv tried to attack the League itself. Petryshyn was very clear when he said he would only ‘forcibly dismantle’ the Grinveld facility – what I wonder is: what will be King Rikhard’s reaction? A military answer would be foolish – Kyiv is powerful, has a big and well-organized Army and is well-connected. Any war with Kyiv and its allies would bring certain defeat, and, in that case, the League would not probably be spared from the carnage; but if Rikhard stands still and does nothing, Boganhem will lose any credibility in the International Community, and pass on as a State easy to pick on and blackmail. And that could have other negative consequences…

In my opinion, Rikhard will have to be cautious and rely in Krakkenveld’s capacity, as well as Chancellor Toefel’s management of the situation – with the regime’s propaganda machine, well organized and structured, it will be difficult for that information to pass on, at least with credibility… It could be the only escape for the King if Kyiv does indeed attack the Grinveld facility. Let us wait and see, and pray that the League is spared from any violence or turbulence…

Reiter Homburg is a jurist and law professor at
Universität Lübeck, and served in various political positions through his life. He is considered a centre-right moderate conservative and is neither sympathetic or hostile to the Royal Government.

Estre-Vok: di Festen and de Grots Red dez Hochpriestrin Stënerz
Estre Week: the Festivities and the Great Speech by High Priestess Stëner
Vodenskove, Goddhaus

Today was the Grots Estre Dag, the last day of the one-week festivity in honour of Estre, Goddess of spring and fertility. Traditionally, the Estre Vok (Estre Week) is used to celebrate agriculture, fertility, festivity, love and women. Thousands of Bogans, especially women, decorate their homes and themselves with flowers during the day, and, during the night, fraternize with boys, trying to get their pair in dances that last all night long.

The week had its opening in Malachor, where the Kongsalle was full of flowers of all colours, and its closing in Vodenskove, where a sacrifice ceremony of 100 sheep was headed by all of the 7 High Priests, conducted by High Priestess Karla Stëner. Stëner’s ode and speech at the ceremony, attended by all high officials of the country, was memorable, remembering how women are treated outside Boganhem.

“Many arrogant and shortsighted Christians believe Boganhem to be a backwards and barbaric country. However, let the Estre Week remind everyone how, since times immemorial, women have been given equal importance to men in our society. This week’s purpouse is to celebrate women, fertility and love… I am sure thousands of couples are meeting or reconciling right now, under the sweet smell of the flowers in our cities. While in Christianity women are viewed as source of all sin, temptation and so on, we view them as beautiful creations. May the goddess Estre, and the goddess Freia listen to me plea – women all over the world must realize they are just the same as men.”

The speech was applauded by all of the audience and especially local women, whose colourful flowers could be easily seen. In fact, Bogan women have always had the right to inherit, to succeed, to buy and sell, to travel, without any limitations, and still have equal legal footing, especially in marriage, not to mention their freedom to abort. This shows how some Christian countries lie in the back row of civility and respect.

After a week of festivity, Bogans return tomorrow to work, awaiting the next great festivity – Middsummernakt, in June.

Bürgertagwahl Ergebnisse Sind Nicht Schlüssig
Bürgertag Election Results Are Inconclusive
Lübeck

Today, all Free Cities’ citizens over 18 years old voted in the elections for the Bürgertag, in a day marked by tense expectation, due to these elections’ decisive role. Polls have shown for months that the Bürger-Bund, the centre-right conservative party that has dominated Free Cities’ politics for decades, might not be the most voted party, and would certainly lose its majority. And that speculation was right: these elections’ results were inconclusive and open the door for shifting alliances between parties. We would remind our readers that the Bürgertag, representing, proportionally, all of the Free Cities’ population, is our main legislative organ, co-deciding with the Bürgermeisternrat most of our laws, and deciding by itself important issues like the budget, constitutional amendments, etc. The Bürgermeisternrat is not responsible before the Bürgertag though its action is very hindered should the Bürgertag be unfavorable.

Before analyzing the long-term political implications of these elections, we present the results:

Bürger-Bund(Citizens’ Allance) – 32,3%

Sozialdemokratische Partei(Social-Democratic Party) – 32,1%

Freie Liberale Partei(Free Liberal Party) – 30,7%

Die Grüne(The Greens) – 2,7%

Allgemeiner Bund der Arbeiter(General Workers’ Union) – 2%

Others– 0,3%

There is not, as for now, any reaction from BB top officials, in what is the biggest defeat of the party’s history. However, the Bürgermeister of Kiel, Reiter von Kühlberg, has spoken for his party colleagues: “The party is terribly sad for the loss of confidence our citizens demonstrated today. But we shall not be too much affected. I’ve spoken to many party colleagues as they have expressed the same feeling: a lesson to learn, an opportunity to try to know what’s wrong in our party and change it.”

On the other hand, the Social-Democrats solified their position as the second party in the Free Cities, after years shifting places with the Liberals. Claus Fischer, leader of the SDP was extremely happy with the 7% growth the SDP had, even though it was not enough to guarantee him a place as the Bürgertag speaker. He said: “This is a clear message: the citizens are not happy with the BB. The BB cannot maintain itself in power for much longer – the citizens, voting overwhelmingly in the SDP and the FLP have shown, for example, that they are unhappy with Kingdom-League relations. And the third that voted for us only showed more citizens are getting socially conscious, knowing that the FSB cannot continue to develop forever its economy without providing more for the welfare of its citizenry.”

Anton Adler, probably not as happy, as he expected a better position for the Liberals, was nevertheless happy with the 10% increase: “The BB lost all of its support, lost its majority held for more than 40 years. I hope that in the next local elections, where the Bürgermeisters of all of the FSB are elected, that even the Bürgermeisternrat will start being a more plural body.”

As for now, it is unclear what consensus will the parties reach to nominate the speaker. Any alliance between two of the three major parties would mean a majority in the Bürgertag of about 60%. This, for some analysts, will make this legislature a good for the liberals. Our resident political analyst Roger Fegelein, tell us that “the liberals can, through smart political moves, put in practice their ideas – they will always get a majority, together with the BB, in economic issues, positioning themselves right-wing and voting together; in social issues and Kingdom-League relations, they align themselves with the SDP, outvoting the BB. This election was a victory for the Liberals.”

Only at the end of the week will the Bürgertag open its first session, still with its interim speaker Gerhard Schiller (BB). Will Schiller continue to be the speaker? Fischer and Adler are potential candidates… Questions we’ll only see answered next week.

Hochpriest Kunn Untroen Liktvolt Lessen Mark dez Kong Rikhardz
High Priest Kunn Questions King Rikhard's Mandate from Heaven

Vodenskove

(This news article was taken off the Internet 15 minutes after publication, by Bogan authorities. Only 200 printed versions of this article appeared, as all further versions in that day omitted the news. So, the news only had a limited knowledge.)

Today, an important even occurred in Vodenskove. In his daily ceremony in the Vestlish Goddhem (temple) of the city, High Priest Gunnar Kunn, 50 years old and widely respected by his peers due to his mystical works, suggested that Voden had revoked his Liktvolt Lessenspark (Mandate from Heaven) from His Majesty King Rikhard V. That suggestion put all of the present faithful in agitation, with many leaving the temple. Kunn will present his case to the High Priest Council – if approved by a majority of two-thirds, Holy Law obliges the “summoning of all groups of the Kingdom to decide whether the Mandate seems effectively revoked or not.” (Priestenkodex, 12:45), with the Aldrunnen also stating: “if enough evidence is collected that a King suits not the design of the Gods, the Gods will make the mystics know, and the mystics will let the people know.” (43:22)

In this moment, the High Priest Council has convened in Vodenskove and is discussing. That was how High Priest Kunn grounded his position:

“Voden has been sending signs for weeks – the Kyivan ultimatum, the International Community’s hostility, abnormal weather. But these could be mere coincidences. I was first intrigued when I interpreted this from an eagle’s guts and my interpretation was confirmed by fellow Priests – the Gods were trying to say that rulers couldn’t last forever, and Voden, as King of the Kings, can destitute a King, etc. Trying to know more, I adventured myself in the woods of Vodensberg, did all the rites prescribed in the Priestenkodex in this situation. And it all indicated: the Mandate from Heaven was revoked. It is sad day for our Nation, but we must try to understand, whatever they are, the Gods’ reasons…”

Immediately after the ceremony, the High Priest Council was summoned. If indeed two-thirds of the High Priests conclude there is indeed a loss of the Mandate from Heaven, the Grots Natsional Rad is assembled, composed by the Hochgamot and the Undergamot, as well as the High Priest Council, and will discuss what to do.

This morning, we may have witnessed an historical event. After days of tension in our capital city Malachor, due to the meeting of the Grand National Council, dissenting army officers expelled King Rikhard V and the soldiers loyal to him from the outskirts of the city.

It all started when Rikhard assembled the Royal Army and threatened the members of the deliberating Grand National Council with use of force. Feeling insulted by this blatant violation of national customs, the majority of the soldiers of the 5th and 7th King’s Regiments deserted and defied the King’s orders, blocking the gates of the historical centre of the capital. After 24 hours of high tension, the King ordered many of his loyal soldiers to attack the dissenters. After that order, many more deserted and refused to obey, thus going to the other side of the barricade. Seeing his loyal men were greatly outnumbered by the dissenters, King Rikhard V retreated and is currently heading towards Vodenskove.

The news were spread all over the country in a matter of an hour, and soon, crowds in the cities of Seeshloss, Kongsberg, Ziost and others, went to the streets, celebrating what seems to be a tacit overthrow of the King, with the celebrations gaining special intentisty in Seeshloss. In Malachor, it has come to public knowledge that Crown-Prince Robert, who was commanding the 5th Regiment, was behind this defiance, and crowds in the capital demand him to be made King immediately.

In the Grand National Council, the news was received with enthusiasm by some and with preoccupation by others: it is known that several Lords of the Hochgamot left the session, with unknown destination, as did one High Priest (Valter Grin). Nevertheless, Herr Karl fon Goggental announced in a quick press conference that: “these events will accelerate our process. We’ll try to be as brief as possible, and spare the Bogan people any suffering and apprehension.”

Does this mean that the events in Malachor this morning persuaded some of the members of the GNC to declare the Mandate revoked? Some say this is clearly a sign of the Gods. A Priest contacted by us told us that: “When thousands of soldiers refuse to abide a King’s order, it must securely mean that the Gods have no longer invested in him his inherent absolute power and authority – the event today showed us that the Mandate is indeed revoked.”

Meanwhile, word has it that King Rikhard will mount a counter-offensive based in Vodenskove, but these reports cannot be confirmed.

We certainly hope that whatever the future holds for Boganhem, that violence will not taint what seems to be a celebratory event.

Robert To Be Crowned King - He Promises Democracy, Freedom of Speech, Religion and Commerce

Malachor

After hours of deliberating, the Grand National Council decided that the Mandate from Heaven was indeed revoked by the Gods. Announcing in the window of the Gamotpalats, Herr Goggenveld has said: “As speaker of the Hochgamot, I bring you the Grand National Council’s decision: the signs are evident – Rikhard is no longer protected by the Gods, his Mandate from Heaven is revoked and, due to our laws of sucession, Crown-Prince Robert is the new absolute and indisputed King of Boganhem, ruling as King Robert IV. We have yet to hear his acceptance.”

The cheering crowd before the Gamotpalats burst in joy, saying words like ‘Freedom’, ‘At Last He’s Gone’, and so on – ‘it seems that, after 30 years of Rikhard, the people needed fresh air’, tells us a citizen of Malachor. It was indeed in Malachor and Seeshloss that the celebrations were taken all night through. After an hour of waiting, King-to-be Robert addressed the Grand National Council, with his speech being televised and broadcast all over the Nation – Robert promised a Constitution, freedom of speech and religion, elections and economic freedom to all, with the Council giving him a standing ovation.

“This is a day of tremendous importance. I know that a son should not defy his father, but when his father wants to kill innocents, wants to kill his own people – the son cannot allow it, the son must have a greater duty to the Gods. I accept the heavy duty and responsibility this Council has granted me, and I know it won’t be easy – but I promise, true modernization will come under by kingship. Boganhem will finally know democracy and freedom – with a commission of highly qualified jurists, I am preparing a Constitutional Charter, which will enshrine the freedom necessary so that the People can have a say in the Government, and so that the people may live their lives without an omnipresent Government. The Charter is near completion, and so, soon will the Bogans know their much deserved freedom!”

Meanwhile, it is known that Rikhard was seen in Goddhaus, and might be trying to take control of the Province, since all of his most faithful advisors have also disappeared. It is suspected that he might be mounting resistance with loyal soldiers and priests. Also, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Frank fon Krakkenveld, pledged allegiance to the new King, being the only member of the former Government to do so.

If it is truly democracy, if it is freedom, if it is the establishment of constitutional democracy that the heir apparent to the Bogan throne seeks, then he can rely on the Constitutional State to support him by all available means to realize him ambitions and bring change to millions yearning for the liberty they have so long been denied. I am highly looking forward to the moment when I can meet with the new king in person to talk about the difficult, but crucial steps that now lie ahead for the Bogan people. Leaving the road to serfdom is never easy, but doing so is the most precious experience man can make.
