Di Gekronnikëd dez Kong Robertz IV - Ën Historishes Dag Für Boganhem
The Coronation of King Robert IV - An Historical Day For Boganhem

Malachor

Following the traditional procedure, the coronation of one King must be as soon as possible, after the death/overthrow of the former. And so it was done. This morning, a Malachor still shook and dazed by the recent events, witnessed an improvised ceremony in the Gamotspalats - the coronation of the 77th Bogan King, Robert IV.

At nine o'clock, the ceremony began, with the King leaving the Kongspalats, his current residence. Then, he crossed, by foot, the distance between his residence and the Gamotspalats, being less than 800 m away from each other, where his inspected soldiers of the Royal Army, who swore their fealty to the new King.

Arriving at the Gamotspalats, he was recieved by Herr Goggenveld (Speaker of the Hochgamot), Dr. Olaf Karlsun (Speaker of the Undergamot) and High Priest Gunnar Kunn, who prepared the ceremony according to tradition, with hundreds of guests, including the media. After half and hour of prayer and pleas to Voden, Donne and Tir to protect the new King's kingship, the new King spoke the Royal Oath:

"Ik svear, di absolut makt in mi fon d'en Godden ongeben, auttsuben. Ik also svear, yhre zeishen and vishen respektiren, de Folk ik var onfertroet tsu shutsen respektiren and tsummentin dat di Berektigkëd is ongeben tsu alle, so hilp mi Voden."

(I promise to exercise the absolute power invested in me by the Gods. I will do so respecting their signs and wishes, respecting the people I was entrusted to protect and ensure that justice is delivered to all, so help me Voden.)

You must be registered for see images

After the solemn declaration, High Priest Kunn crowned the King, and the newly-crowned Robert IV made a small speech, enunciating several small-term measures:

"It is an honour, to be the leader of the most noble people on Earth - may the Gods bless the following years, may them bless the future and may them bless freedom! To ensure the good management of the State, I constitute a National Salvation Junta, an emergency Government composed by several personalities to be announced. I also decree, to have immediate effect, that no man shall be imprisoned or questioned on his political thinking or religion, and that all Bogans are free to constitute political parties for upcoming elections yet to be announced."

This means that the King has effectively declared freedom of speech, political thinking and religion to all of Boganhem - a fresh start to a tired country, thristy for freedom. All Hail King Robert IV!

Unmaliger Kong Rikhard: 'Ik skale reshen dise hëmsduken fersvering - di ferrater skallen mit yhr'em ëinig blod betsalen and da skalt nikt knnaden!'
Former King Rikhard: 'I will avenge this insidious conspiracy - the traitors will pay with their own blood and there will be no mercy!'

Malachor

In a video file sent to the Daglishes Harrold today, former King Rikhard V (henceforth Rikhard fon Malachor), has revealed he is hiding in the Goddhaus mountains, and is planning his revenge.

The video, that shows the former King in full royal military uniform and shows two heavily armed men behind him, contains a number of threats and a challenge to Robert IV’s legitimacy. The clip is small, and we shall transcript the former King’s words:

“This is a message of hope for the Bogan people, and a message of fear and wrath for the traitors who overthrew the son of Voden from his throne. A tremendous act of defiance of the Gods’ will was undertaken last week – it all started with a bribe. A bribe for High Priest Gunnar Kunn, who then introduced the legitimacy debate, and through well-mounted schemes, summoned a puppet Grand National Council. The Council deceived the dissenting Army with fake arguments – that is the truth. Now, I shall avenge this insidious conspiracy – the traitors will pay with their own blood and I shall have no mercy! Fortunately, the peoples of Goddhaus are still loyal to me, and I assure you – the traitors in Malachor shall not control an inch of the soil of this sacred land in which the Gods live – and from here, I will wreak havoc, and what is mine shall be mine again! All Hail Boganhem, All Hail Voden and His Legitimate Descendents!”

Provisional Chancellor Villsun has appealed to calm this afternoon in a press conference in Malachor: “These are the words of a vengeful wannabe terrorist with no resources to exercise his revenge. We will get Rikhard Malachor and bring him to trial.”

Despite Villsun’s declarations, our sources say that there are, at least, 10,000 armed men with Rikhard, corresponding to the resident regiments of Goddhaus, who are not complying with orders from the central command. The same sources tell us that, besides the 10,000 men, Rikhard fon Malachor is arming thousands of irregular militias to serve as guerilla units.

Boganhem Hats Ën Ferfassinn - Di Ferfassing Kart Gesprek Bë Kong Robert IV
Boganhem Has a Constitution - The Constitutional Charter Declared by King Robert IV

Malachor

In the midst of the fear caused by former King Rikhard’s video, and the turmoil it created, a new source of hope brightens our hopes for democracy. After days of intense work, that followed some more months of secret preparation, King Robert has announced the proclamation of the Constitutional Charter of the Kingdom of Boganhem (Ferfassing Kart dez Kongrëch Boganhemz), the first written constitution our Nation has ever seen. King Robert announced it before the people watching him in the balcony of the Kongspalats, in Malachor. The Charter is founded upon the King’s absolute power, which he traditionally can delegate – this time, King Robert IV has bind all further Kings to observe the delegation of the legislative power in the People which he assumed.
The Charter regulates the general functions of the Kingdom’s institutions – which will remain the same, with differing powers and compositions, based on the principle of the separation of powers.

- The Undergamot becomes the legislative organ by excellence, and most of the Nation’s laws must pass under its authority. Its composition is also changed – instead of a proto-corporativist model in which professions were represented, all people over 18 years old in Boganhem will be represented. Among its legislative competence lies the approval of the Royal Budget – part of the legislative power.

- The Hochgamot retains some legislative competences, but mainly regarding certain core issues. It will also house, as soon as possible, the Hochgamots Rektsamt (Legal Office), that will function as Supreme Court of the Kingdom. The Hochgamot will be composed by three kinds of Herre (Lords), the Herre Arenne (Noble Lords), the Herre Priesten (Priest Lords) and the Herrelibens (Live Lords). This last addition will be composed by commoners who are appointed by the King based on their social merit – part of the legislative power.
- The Government will still be headed by a Kantsler (Chancellor), and this time, the Chancellor will be responsible both to the King and to the Undergamot, being subject to at least 1/3 of the Hochgamot’s approval. The Chancellor will be appointed from within the major party out of an election – major body of the executive power.
- In the realm of Justice, with the assumption of Supreme Court status by the Hochgamots Rektsamt, the laicization of justice is complete – no longer will justice and faith be bound together – the judicial power is independent
- Finally, the King concentrates two kinds of power – the executive and the moderating. This fourth power was added due to the King’s role as a referee within future Bogan democratic politics, and the possibility of the resolving of conflicts. He can sack the Chancellor, but can only dismiss the Undergamot with 2/3 majority approval of the Hochgamot.

This brings to Boganhem a democratic and stable democratic framework, so that the rule of law and the respect for fundamental rights is assured.

The Daglishes Harrold will now proceed to reproduce the first articles:

(Translation:

I, Robert IV, King of Boganhem, Protector of the Free Cities League, Duke of Lübeck and Margrave of Koldland, under blessing of the Gods, use my Royal Delegation of Powers to delegate my legislative powers in the legitimate representatives of the Bogan people, the Undergamot, and the delegation of my general powers shall be here in this Constitutional Charter. I decree:
Article 1 – On the Bogan Kingdom
The Bogan Kingdom is a sovereign and independent Nation, based in the values of democracy, human dignity, freedom and justice.
This Charter binds all persons, private and public.
Article 2 – Fundamental Rights
The Bogan people’s fundamental rights are:
1 – Human right is inviolable
2 – All have right to private property
3 – All have freedom of political thought
4 – All have freedom of religion
5 – All have freedom from unjust punishment
6- All have freedom to a free trial)

The proclamation of the Constitutional Charter drew positive remarks from many sectors of our society. First of all, for King Robert: “This is a decisive day, where we throw away centuries of arbitrary power – for the first time, we, as a civilized nation, control political power.” Karl Larenz, the Bürgermeisternratpräsident of the Free Cities League, said that: “The charter is an exceptional legal document, and will provide a framework for the Kingdom, both proper and as a whole, to work together – and, of course, to create closer bounds with the Cities.”

Some criticized the document for the quickness in which it was done, by the fact that, nominally, the legitimacy of the Charter comes from the King, not the people and an elected constituent assembly, etc. One thing is certain, under the newly proclaimed rights of religion and political thought, dozens of political organizations, from left to right, are being created in Boganhem, and after centuries of prosecution, Christians are now free to express their beliefs. Let us hope democracy brings more good than evil to our country.

De Geghostering für Demokratsie and di Endstandung Noe Partëren
The Enthusiasm For Democracy and the Emergence of New Parties

Malachor

Since the publication of the Constitutional Charter, on Monday, that the new liberties enshrined in it are already being used by the Bogans – after Monday, several political parties emerged, some formerly operating underground and others associated with foreign entities. This promises to be an exciting period for Boganhem’s civil society, as millions of books, especially on politics, are flooding into our borders every day, and as they will certainly influence a great number of people.

The formerly underground parties opposing the Old Regime have officialized themselves today – the Boganishes Verker Bund (Bogan Workers’ Alliance), the Marxist party that fought viciously against Rikhard V has been founded in Seeshloss today, having Ildephonz Bakker, the historic communist leader, as its Secretary-General. Another resistance movement, the Frë Man Bevegung (Free Man Movement), exposing a post-delegationist ideology, has merged with a group of more moderate liberals financed by the Free Liberal Party of the Free Cities League, and will contest elections as the Frë Liberal Partë (Free Liberal Party), having Manfred Rokkeveld (more liberal) and Robert Karmann (post-delegationist) as is strongmen. Two more parties emerged, in what seem to be the first dominant parties in Boganhem – the Konglishes Partë (Royal Party), advocating a conservative ideology and opposition to very drastic changes to the status quo, and also being the party of the provisional Chancellor Villsun; and the Sotsial Demokratish Partë (Social-Democratic Party), financed by the Social-Democrats from the FSB, a party that will position itself in the centre-left of the political spectrum, having Claus Fisher as its Secretary-General.

Other parties, from varied ideologies, have been recently founded – we will provide just a few examples: Natsional-Syndikalistish Brigaden (National-Syndicatlist Brigades), Sotsialistish Partë Boganhemz (Socialist Party of Boganhem), Boganhem Ferst! (Boganhem First!), Sotsial-Ekologistish Partë (Social-Ecological Party) and Var Konglishes Partë (True Royal Party). This enthusiasm with democracy is spreading across all major cities and urban centres, while in the countryside it seems more mitigated, especially in the areas controlled by the former King, in which the Constitutional rules do not yet apply. King Robert is due to announce an election date somewhere this week – in those elections, the Bogans will chose the composition of the Undergamot and, indirectly, the new Government.

Möglichkeit der boganischen Einwanderung Sorgen der Freien Städte
Possibility of Bogan Immigration Worries the Free Cities
Grünebaden

The recent democratization of Boganhem proper is raising several issues in the Free Cities, as the possibility of large waves of immigration into the inner borders worries the Bürgermeistern. As for now, the old border legal regime continues – the controls for Bogans to come to the Free Cities are still somewhat tight, while the other way around, the Bürgerpolizei, allows any Bogans to return their homes.

As it is general knowledge, the Kingdom of Boganhem now has a semi-democratic constitution, allowing political parties, freedom of religion and freedom of thinking – as a result, thousands of Bogans, exiled in the FSB for being pro-democracy, communists, liberals, post-delegationists and Christians, are all returning to their country. What worries our government officials more is the possibility of large waves of immigration – as the General Director for Internal Affairs Peter Rothschild put in a press conference today – “the perception that democracy brings freedom of movement drives many Bogans to the Free Cities, mainly looking for economic opportunities”. The General Director added that “uncontrolled immigration might bring a series of economic and social problems.”

This discussion is extended to a bigger, but silent discussion – what will be of the Free Cities now? As Boganhem is a democracy, will there be greater integration? Or will the Kingdom proper and the Free Cities continue two separate entities? As for now, Bürgermeisternratpräsident Karl Larenz, has not declared an official position, saying only that: “I was already contacted by King Robert to start conversations about the future relationship Kingdom-FSB.”

It is perceived that many Bogans will feel attracted by a materially superior live style in the Free Cities, at least when compared to Boganhem and that immigration without control would bring problems – as General Director Rothschild concluded: “everything will stay as it were – for those who want to come in, it will be difficult and for those who want to go out, go ahead.”

Di Khristianen And Yhr'en Noe Frëhed in Boganhem
The Christians and Their New Freedom in Boganhem

Malachor

It’s been more than two weeks since King Rikhard was overthrown. In this period of enthusiasm and freedom, there is one particular group, heavily discriminated against all through Bogan history, which has been prospering and enjoying newfound freedom: Christians.

First of all, the number of Christians was much bigger than thought. Excluding the Free Cities League, which is almost exclusively Christian (Lutheran denomination), Boganhem proper has about 5% of its population, mainly clandestinely until now, identifying with this religion, most of them with German origins. Until recently, they were confined to ghettos in the outskirts of major cities, but now no more.
For those who do not know, Christians claim to be monotheistic, but actually, they worship three Gods in one (God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost), with some having a wider range of minor Gods that they call ‘saints’. They believe in the values of equality, solidarity, passive resistance and dignity of the human person (all shared with our Bogan Religion, except for passive resistance and, in some parts, solidarity). Christianity was forbidden in Boganhem due to the highly aggressive nature of its missionary efforts – one of the main characteristics of this religion, contrarily to our True Religion is its universal pretension. As such, many politicians, namely Provisional Chancellor Frank Villsun, SDP leader Claus Fisher, communist Ildephonz Bakker and other nationalist voices have expressed concern over the overtly big freedom given to Christians. As the Provisional Chancellor put: “our Constitution and our new values oblige us to consider Christians equal in dignity and before the law, but the universalist nature of their religion cannot be denied – whoever forms the first elected Government must enact anti-proselytism laws to contain mass manipulations carried out by the most insidious elements of the Christian Church. Anyway, I have an excellent relationship with Reverend Lukas Yonsun, the coordinator of the Bogan Lutheran Church, and he agreed that some radical elements of other Christian denominations might take advantage of the greater freedom they have now.” This concern echoed all through the political spectrum, except for the Liberals, who have remained silent on the issue.

In a Christian religious service carried out today, Reverend Lukas Yonsun, coordinator of the Bogan Lutheran Churches (Boganish Evangelish Kürchen), thanked King Robert IV for his role on the democratization of Boganhem and also announced that the BEK would publish the first official Bogan language bible and unify the various versions of the Lord’s Prayer in Boganhem into a new and official version. In his speech, Yonsun showed respect for other Bogan traditions and spoke for ecumenism: “As matter of fact, we all worship the same God, the same life-spirit that created us and that sustains us – we all have our different way towards Him – most of our fellow countrymen prefer to decompose Him into various Gods, which is perfectly legitimate – we are all from the same divine source, be Him God or Voden, and we will surely all get along.”

Some marginal Christian groups (the BEK aggregates 90% of Boganhem’s Christians), such as those belonging to the Catholic denomination (which is centralized in the Papal States) have complained with the BEK’s appearant state-driven support. Theodor Davidsun, the nominal Bishop of Malachor, in exile in the FSB, has said that: “the BEK might influence the State to extend the anti-proselytism laws to the Catholic Church, by far the largest Christian Church in the World”

Meanwhile, we have to trust the Christian leaders’ word that they will abstain from proselytism, i.e., aggressive missionary activity, until a new Government approves a law. The Daglishes Harrold appeals to all Bogans followers of the True Religion to respect Christians as long as they respect us.

We wish King Robert IV of Boganhem all the luck and wisdom he needs to lead his Kingdom. We also see with joy that the Christians can live a normal life in Boganhem again.

Konglishes Partë and Frë Liberal Partë Makpen Rigirdungkoalition
Royal Party and Free Liberal Party Form Governmental Coalition

Malachor

The newly elected Chancellor, still acting in the quality of leader of the KP, spent all day in Malachor negotiating with Till Krommen, the leader of the Free Liberal Party, reaching an agreement to form Government, to be submitted to the King.

It is official – the Konglishes Partë and the Frë Liberal Partë formed a post-election coaliton to be able to from a majority Government. Due to the FLP’s lower results, the KP will hold most governamental posts and dictate most of the policies, not without yielding to some of Krommen’s demands. While it is known that the FLP dropped their opposition to the anti-proselytism laws, the KP promised the Liberals that the role of the Hochgamot would be brought before public discussion and royal consideration.

In economic policies, both parties agree, so, a great economic reform is due, mainly through privatizations, economic liberalisation and lower taxes. Both Villsun and Krommen were visibly satisfied with the agreement.

Although there was no problems within the KP, many voices inside the FLP made clear their opposition to the deal. Anton Kuck, the main representative of the Party’s post-delegationist wing, criticized Krommen, saying that he should not deal with ‘old-fashioned conservatives who believe in a ‘father knows best’ state’, saying the KP is nothing more but ‘the remnants of the Old Kingdom’.

Other parties also showed their concern. While giving, ‘in the name of national intrest’ full confidence to the new Government, Claus Fisher, leader of the SDP, showed his concerns over ‘possible disasterous neoliberal policies’, saying that Villsun and Krommen should ‘proceed with care’.

Communist leader Ildephonz Bakker, accused the KP-FLP alliance of ‘hiding an agenda of disaster’ and ‘policies that harm the workers and the peseants’. National-Syndicalist leader Aleksander Olriken echoed these critics, fearing that the KP-FLP coalition will ‘sell Boganhem and the people to foreign intrests, political and economical alike’.

Kennt Di Statssekretären de Noe Rigirdum
Meet the Secretaries of State of the New Government

Malachor

Two days after announcing the formation of a KP-FLP coalition government, the leaders of the two parties, Frank Villsun and Till Krommen, issued a press statement listing the names they chose to occupy the positions of Secretaries of State.

They are over nine Secretaries covering all basic functions of the State. The negotiations resulted in a proportion of 1/3 of Liberals occupying the positions. Here is the official list:

Kantsler (Chancellor) - Frank Villsun (KP)

Staatssekretär für Auttlander Ankelhëden (Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs) - Till Krommen (FLP)

Staatssekretär für Finanzish Besheft (Secretary of State for Financial Management) - Erik Kannutsun (KP)

Staatssekretär für Innerlander Ankelhëden (Secretary of State for Internal Affairs) - Karl fon Kongsberg (KP)

Staatssekretär für Vorthshep, Machshep and Bausehp (Secretary of State for Economy, Industry and Agriculture) - Dur Bakker (KP)

Staatssekretär für Rekts and Gerektishëd (Secretary of State for Law and Justice) - Anton Menets-Lommben (FLP)

Staatssekretär für Edukation and Kultur (Secretary of State for Education and Culture) - Gutrun Tarten (FLP)

Staatssekretär für Besoundhëd and Sotsial Ankelhëden (Secretary of State for Health and Social Affairs) - Helga fon Graffenbrok (KP)

Staatssekretär für Fervaldumish Ankelhëden (Secretary of State for Administrative Affairs) - Faust Kvarten (KP)

As we can see, the Liberals secured the Foreign Affairs, Education and Justice positions, with the first going to the Party's leader Till Krommen, who already said he would pursue a 'foreign policy of caution but good will towards good-willed neighbours and foreign investors'. Chancellor Villsun said he would submit the government proposal to the King and to the Hochgamot and the Undergamot as it is forseen in the Constitutional Charter. After approval, the Government will fully function and will start to exercise full executive power.
