Precidija decries 'shift' of Wieser priorities
Authored independently by Arkadij Riminic; published by Commissariat commission
In a plaintive response to far-reaching international criticism, the long-proclaimed 'empire' of Wiese has openly declared an intention through domestic news sources to re-assert the standing and priorities of its collective security forces eastwards. The measures are claimed to stem from the result of numerous diacritic remarks made by the associated foreign relations agencies of Vittoria, with a more modernized air defense grid to be implemented in the foreseeable future, and wargames to take place in the Braunschweig border province. The Precidija, following a lengthy non-publicized discussion, censured the more recent actions, citing security concerns and wargames both as 'inessential', and 'untimely'.

These more recent actions have invoked a critical response from the Commonwealth's own indigenous security forces, with numerous militia and reserve groups called up on active duty by the senior staff. With Easter celebrations now complete, border patrols will once more commence in earnest, with increases in frequency planned ahead for both the prefectures and the Hälgoland territory. The cordon zone will be re-manned at certain critical junctures in both Zaponje prefecture and the territory, the Wojska Zemlji slated to begin to operate border crossings in the stead of local para-military and civilian authorities. The secretive nature of the wargames taking place but a hundred or so kilometres from the Commonwealth's northern frontier has sparked a degree of argument amongst the upper circles of the Precidija, the honorable Jakovip I.P. lauding the military response and calling for a heightened state of alert to be issued in kind.

Certain plans for the construction of newer crossings and the modernization of current ones have been set aside for the moment, the process for removing and dis-arming certain minefields along the border regions also having been placed on hold temporarily. It has been purported by independent sources and eventually confirmed by the military that certain elements will once more be stationed within the troubled Hälgoland territory. The Precidija will remain in confluence for the remainder of the week, the possibility of nominating a temporary Presider high upon the agenda. Skeptics remain fervent in their opinion of the Wieser dictations, high-level members of the Precidija, such as the honorable Łev Raznievic and Allejano A.P. going further to release private criticism.

In the meantime, numerous other international institutions and other nations have similarly commented upon the affairs; the greater part of Sarmatia condemning or protesting against the clandestine measures undertaken, a great deal of skepticism and concern voiced by the collective peoples of Sarmatia towards it all. The High Commissiriat has stated that it will 'continue to monitor the situation', until which time that further developments become known, the Presidium will remain in debate, it is expected.

Certain paramilitary organizations and local militia's have been stated that they will use this as an opportunity to recruit more members, training and other deployments set to begin along the border regions during the course of the week under full military jurisdiction.

Promethean Legions 'adequately' internationalized
Authored independently by Łev Tiltipic; published by PZŠ independent commission
Since the formation of the ideological cult following the fires of the great wars, from the creation of a gentleman's party and organization of venerable intentions, the Promethean ideals have been embodied in the privately operated paramilitary groups and foreign legions sponsored by all manner of intra-national entities. The Sarmatian based 'Jus ex Bello' and 'Chorągiew Solomon' groups are sterling examples of such, operating within both Greater Sarmatia and Šidajica unobstructed. Similarly such, private military corporations of that nature, sponsored and not by our very own security forces are based within Šidajica, assembled into cognitive foreign legions and supplemented with great amounts of willing volunteers and international veterans of conflict. Since the formation of 'Legio Sforzera', 'Wiežoctiw Wojli', and the like, these groups have all been primarily composed- even during the fury of the revolution, of ethnic Šidajici.

One of the primary intentions of these organizations was to further the cause beyond the borders of the respective commonwealths, beyond the frontiers and folds of bureaucracy and international conclaves. Whereas but a decade before it could be claimed otherwise, these have all become truly international companies and corporations since the revolutions.

'Wiežoctiw Wojli' has reported however, that nearly sixty four percent of its total employees and participants of it's programmes last year were not of Šidajici descent, hailing from all sorts of backgrounds across the face of Europe. A great deal of Khazars and other Sarmatians happen to enlist within the foreign legions per annum, not including a not so dissimilar rate for the more private paramilitary groups. The diversification of these corporations, as well as military-based foreign legions has long been a concern and an aim of the respective leaderships of both, the broadening of frontiers for either considered to be mutually synonymous with said aim. After nearly four decades allotted to them to expand and build-up from a rather mundane base, executive CEO of 'Wiežoctiw Wojli' has stated this morning in a press conference that "the organization has become adequately internationalized". He went on to say, "the cause of Prometheanism, and all associated virtues will be heralded; by Khazars, Germans, Sarmatians, Šidajici all under the same banners."

This comes in light of the acquisition by the group of facilities in the east, where recruitment of ethnic (and not always citizens of the Commonwealth) Germans has become a prime source of manpower for the corporation. Just last year, 'Wiežoctiw Wojli' was mandated to take over the patrol and control duties of the Vittorian frontier; now however it turns out they will be only supplementing existing formations yet further. A proud international legion will stand shoulder to shoulder with Šidajica's, ever watching vigilantly towards Sarmatia.

In other news,
Continued diplomatic quarreling becomes a mainstay in Sarmatia, disputes and arguments taking place between the associated nations of the area and numerous outside parties. Target on the list this week is seemingly Wiese.

In light of attempts to distribute counterfit currency in the city of Preschwa, elements of the local militia have begun to issue coupons as a replacement; until such time that such fake bills are rotated out of distribution.

Allegedly discriminatory commentary within High School history texts leads review boards to consider revision; possible issue of newer books possible, Secretariat commissions Precidija for funding.

Šidajica tentatively jumps on board Sarmatian missile-shield deal
Authored independently by Karol Sijidivic; published by PZŠ & Razi-Zaponje independent commission
Amidst escalating tensions in central Europe, with the levels of rhetoric and general inobsequious commentary stirring guffaws and tensions both, Šidajica has jumped right on board with the Sarmatian-offered missile shield expansion deal. The agreement was agreed to by the Precidija, following a great bout of negotiations and deliberation with representatives from Większy Sarmatska and Životinje both. It would allow a joint observer and command group to be stationed within Šidajica to oversee the maintenance and management of our part in the missile shield, as well as the unification of radar and anti-aircraft security grids between the nations. In addition to this, a unified system of anti-ballistic missiles and laser programmes will be rigidly implemented, the Precidija and associated military branches gearing to hire numerous contractors for construction or modernization of half a dozen facilities across Šidajica, Zaponje and Hälgoland.

A deal has not yet been signed regarding the transfer or sale of anti-ballistic equipment and laser systems to Šidajica; negotiations and agreements regarding such tentatively still underway, the status of Šidajica's participation still only on an official basis: slated to remain such for a few months further, until an integrated structure can be more thoroughly ingrained. Wiežoctiw Wojli and Chorągiew Solomon both have been commissioned by Sarmatskij and Šidajici militaries to oversee the transfers without delay or disturbance, a great deal of funds being poured into the coffers of both paramilitary groups.

Precidija representatives have been doing their best to quell concerns that have been growing amidst the announcements, with certain civilian dissidents and critics claiming Šidajica's participation within the shield serving as but a destabilizing influence for Scythia and Central Europe. Precidija legislator, the honorable Elijas Racnievip speaking on behalf of the Presidium as a whole during an early post-announcement press conference. In this, he stated the venerable intentions of the Šidajici participation in the program, the worth of the shield as a deterrent against potential aggression being far too great to merely pass up. He said that "peace is the greatest and most critical of our agenda" and that "the security of that prosperity must be established by the Presidium, in whatever matter."

The Precidija is prepared to accept representatives from any of the associated nations regarding the transfers; including Vittoria and Oltremare.

Senkic e Tara Engineering (STE) announced that its Senj-based shipyard has agreed to a contract with an overseas shipping subsidiary of a Hajiri-based exportation and freight shipment corporation. Each worth approximately €21m (zł64.7m), two 8,000 ATB (articulated tug barge) tugs boats will be produced for the firm. Estimated construction time has been released as being a period of sixteen or so months, the delivery of the vessels planned in the third quarter of 2011. Measuring 140.4 ft by 38 ft each, these two state-of-the-art tugs will be used to perform ATB services, transporting refined petroleum products to and fro Hajr.

Industry and finance Secretariat announced pending negotiations with Wiese-based KEF representatives regarding the importation of refined metal ores and associated products. Reportedly the secretariat interested in an expansion of ailing Zaponje-based manufacturing and heavy industries. This comes in light of the previous announcement of a undecided contract offered for the construction of an indigenous €106m (zł321.4m) natural gas refinery complex; speculation running rampant that it will be given to a Wiese-based firm.

Car bombing in uptown Ruhrschaff, the capital of the Hälgoland territory kills two, injures three. The attack was orchestrated during the local rush hour, whilst within the usual heavy traffic. Only two cars were damaged, a truck reportedly to the other side of the rigged automobile. High Commissariat and local militia condemn attack, investigations beginning as to the perpetrator. The vehicle driver was ruled out as a suspect early on, being also one of the fatalities sustained.

Karol Erbeniw dies; Kristoff Tarasowijic appointed Chief Legate by Precidija
Authored independently by Rod Ebenijic; published by PZŠ & Razi-Zaponje independent commission
Following the untimely resignation of the previous Chief Legate, Karol Erbeniw last night from a massive heart failure, in which doctors were unable to stabilize him. This morning, Kristoff Tarasowijic, a respected Legate hailing from South-East Zaponje prefecture was nominated and accepted as the Chief Legate by the great majority of the Precidija; his inauguration into the position promptly taking place. The ceremony was Spartan at best, numerous Legates bearing armbands of black as a symbol of mourning for the deceased Chief Legate, who perished at the relatively young political age of seventy three. His successor, the esteemed Kristoff Tarasowijic is but fifty three years of age; yet a young man by comparison. The whole of the Precidija plans to attend a grand ceremony in honor of the esteemed Erbeniw in Arkov.

With the co-operation of the High Commissariat and grant of the local mayor, the Precidija has unanimously decreed that a funeral procession will take place upon the fifteenth of April in the lower downtown area of the capital city. It is slated to begin near the Precidija building and move all the way down Arkov's main plaza area. The procession will finally conclude in the Grand Republican Mausoleum; the resting place which will be deigned upon the esteemed Erbeniw as the place of burial of all of the Revolution's finest men and women. The planning of the funeral parade has been allotted to the upper cadre of the general staff, a full military funeral and burial planned for the Chief Legate, who is outlived by his predecessor. All of these decisions were announced an hour following the resolutions made by the Precidija affirmative to them, in addition to the nomination and appointment of the current Chief Legate.

The most esteemed Chief Legate, Kristoff Tarasowijic is one of the senior members of the current Legislature, having served in the Precidija from the tender age of thirty three. He served as the Adjutant-Legate to the esteemed Rubin Erwoniwic, and replaced him following his death. Involved in numerous philanthropy efforts and projects with numerous private contractors all across the Commonwealth, Tarasowijic has maintained a relatively clean and prestigious reputation. He was noted as being a viable competitor for the position of Adjutant-General during last year's round of the Precidija's military appointments, but declined the offer to participate. Prior to his service with the Precidija, the most esteemed Chief Legate served with the venerable security forces of the Commonwealth; having participated during the latter stages of the Revolution during the 70's. He was barely an adult then, but was commended by his superiors for renown acts of bravery and ingenuity. He was recommended for an officer position, and continued to progress until the rank of Second Captain, at which point he became involved in politics.

Since then he has served on numerous boards for the re-armament of the security forces as well as serving in the 1999 Commission to investigate the status of the army. His choice as the Chief Legate was yet unexplained, and numerous news sources across the Commonwealth are attempting to secure interviews in this tentative transition period from one Chief to another. As of yet, no Legate's have come forward to provide reasoning or testimony, though may speculate that his experience on domestic and military affairs both serves as an excellent gauge for the man's integrity.

In other news,
Senkic e Tara Engineering (STE) announces that a €21m (zł64.7m), two 8,000 ATB (articulated tug barge) tugs boat slated to be commissioned by the Merchant navy of Carentania has been constructed and is currently undergoing the final polishing and electronics testing process'. It has not yet been announced when the boat will be delivered, those estimates are that such will occur within some time during the month; the contract having been signed almost a full year back.

Security Forces re-deploy into the Ruhrschaff area following terrorist attacks in the downtown districts. The deployment has been confirmed as being that of two thousand militiamen and five hundred men from the Commonwealth Army. Further information has not yet been disclosed, other then the purpose being stated as the "continued maintenance of serenity and business in relative tranquility."

Wojčka Mora commissions Senj and Artejm Shipyards for 4 indigenous craft
Authored independently by Wladijslaw Robijic; published by PZŠ & Razi-Zaponje independent commission
In the latest cycle of negotiations between the general staff and the Precidija in regards to the next five-year policy, numerous proposals were reportedly put forth by the delegation of the security forces for a possible enlargement of the Commonwealth's naval forces. The idea was allegedly put forth by the chief representative for the Wojčka Mora (sea forces), Commander Andrej Sergejowic Lugojiw and lauded by the vast majority of the other representatives. In addition to requests for greater funding for the sea forces, Lugojiw proposed the construction and organization of an entirely new flotilla for the Commonwealth's sea forces. It remains yet to be seen what such a flotilla is to exactly entail, though many speculate it as the beginnings of the first actual 'fleet' of what would be an actual 'navy', whose role would stretch beyond that of national defense.

With the urging of the Chief Legate for the proposal to go through, the Precidija took two hours to deliberate the offered deal. With the input of the High Commissariat weighed as equally as that of the Security Forces, the Precidija finally agreed with a majority vote to accept all of the requests and proposals put forth by the naval representatives. Discussion in the meantime is still going on between the air force and the ground forces with the Precidija, each attempting to secure greater funding and representation within the Precidija itself.

With a great influx of funds provided for the sea forces, Rear Admiral Egor Kristoffiwic Rodiw was appointed the High Commissioner for Naval Armament [Velikij Kommišjar na Marskij Brečnictwija] (KMB), his assignment and role being such as to make sure of the most efficient and productive usage by the sea forces of the funds accumulated for the project. The most esteemed Fedor Estejowic, Senior Legate within the Precidija, has been appointed by the Precidija as the Chief Legislative observer for the project. With the assistance of Legate Estejowic, KMB Admiral Rodiw managed to secure a deal with the prominent Senkic e Tara Engineering (STE) firm. The sea forces would commission in this deal, the Senj and Artojn shipyards of the corporation for the manufacture of four destroyer-class vessels for use by the sea forces. Further negotiations are currently ongoing between the KMB, Legate Estejowic, and numerous other electronics and armament firms within the Commonwealth- the recent build-up being a great business opportunity for many influential corporate entities within Šidajica.

The sea forces have also begun a new recruitment program; with the recent legalization of the establishment of recruitment offices in public high schools creating a whole new venue for the an influx of manpower into the sea forces. Further incentives are being offered to those participating in junior sea cadet programs, including an increased change of independent commission and a higher pay class at commissioning.

The most esteemed, Chief Legate Tarasowijic had issued a publicized statement before the Precidija prior to the beginning of the debates to approve the proposals, saying that: "The foundations of this Commonwealth, those of the cities of Senj, Artejm, Trijulka and a hundred other towns and villages down the coast have all been centered upon the sea and reaping their bounty from it. Whether this is through trade or war isn't relevant, as these old Bans and Knjazs understood the importance of the blue deeps. It is a fallacy that this Commonwealth has extended so far that the seas do not remain important to it. The maintenance of a proper naval arsenal wasn't on the agenda of the old Kingdom, as they were more content to waste valuable resources and funds on decadent and entirely pointless splendors. For this modern Commonwealth, a capacity of defense of interests and nation is necessary on sea, air and earth."

Plans have been announced to re-activate the old Kingdom-operated naval facility near the Papal frontier, within the town of Trijbilk. It is slated to be renovated for use as a naval station by Q3 of 2012, near to the completion date of the ordered vessels.

In other news,
The Zaponje-based industrial firm, Tatranegijic (TNJ) has been issued a fine by the Lower Adjutantcy of Industry for illicit dumping of wastes. Following bills passed in 1998 by the Precidija which prohibited the dumping of industrial wastes into any water supplies or within any watersheds of settled area's. This effectively regulated the waste deposits to only certain dump-sites under the operation of the Lower Adjutantcy in which it was legal to deposit non-toxic waste materials. Tatranegijic had been brought up on illicit waste disposal earlier in 2006, an investigation having been put together by the Lower Adjutancy in the first quarter of 2007 and concluding in Q3. The company was fined €250,000 (zł600,000) after evidence had been brought forward earlier this week; following the conclusion of a very lengthy judiciary period.

The Carentanian provocation of Talemantine Empire has recently been condemned by the PVŠ, an independent (and legal) political organization within the Commonwealth. The PVŠ declared the actions as "simply a destitute example of the 'social imperialism' which 'clandestine chauvinist cults' as 'red oligarchy' tend to breed." The statement was made during a recent rally of the PVŠ in the uptown area of Senj, with the Head of the party, an Andrej Boreslawic making the declaration, calling upon the nation's of Europe for a "red extermination."

Two killed and three injured in recent Ruhrschaff car bombing; investigation by the High Commissariat finally identifying the perpetrator of the affront as 41-year old Aldrech Kleitz through the use of DNA evidence. The suspect has been apprehended by local militia and is currently awaiting judiciary processing. As Hälgoland is not yet considered to be legally a prefecture, Kleitz will be tried by federal provosts in the stead of local tribunes.

Chief Legate puts 'on hold' ballistic missile shield deal, negotiations brought to stand-still as discussions within the Precidija begin.

Dominici has no intentions in interfearing with domestic politics or national defence, and is sure the facility doesn't harm the national integrity of the Papal States, nor our borders with Sidajica.
