The 61st Radila Biennale, La 61° Biennale di Radila, is open for exibit submissions, both in the International and National galleries. Curators are also invited to sit on the Grand Jury, which will decide award winners.
Founded in 1881, the Art Biennale showcases the world's foremost contemporary art.
Top visial artists from around the world submit art to be featured in the main International Pavilion, where the Grand Jury awards the Golden Lion for the best participant. The Silver Lion is awarded to the most promising up and comming participant.
National Pavilions showcase a host of local artists and serve as hubs for cultural exchanges. The top scoring National Pavilion is awarded the Red Lion.
This year's event is curated by Lucia Wu, Chief Curator of the Ca' Pesaro Museum, situated on the Grande Canale in Radila.
The theme is Dreams and Milk which toutches on the ideas of transformation (both bodily and spiritual), human technological interaction, and the changing ways we interact with the natural world.
