The Engellexian Republic

Dear President Siward,

Two hundred years ago, after centuries of domination at the hands of the clergy and the nobility, brave revolutionaries took it upon themselves to reform society into one that better reflects the true perfection of the human condition. A society where a man’s labor was his own and the reciprocal support of the community came from a common ambition of mutual prosperity as opposed to the whims and demands of a wealthy elite. The ideals of the 1819 Aurarian Revolution are undoubtedly inspired by the Engellexian Republic and the model it had set for republican governance.

The Republic, deemed the highest form of human organization, originated in its modern form in Engellex. These ideals were adapted to better apply to the Aurarian condition and as such the Aurarine Republic became the world’s second Republic three hundred years after the Engellexic.

Further understanding that true liberty could not be obtained unless the power of the Tiburan Catholic Church was shattered with the Crown, the Aurarian Revolutionaries took inspiration from the State Atheism that exists in Engellex when forging the secular republic. While the Church still exists in Auraria and a non-negligible percentage of Aurarian still adhere to its teachings, the power of the Church has been transitioned into a purely symbolic one as the power of the people, voiced through the republican government, became supreme.

Two hundred years later, the Engellexic and Aurarian Republics have emerged as premier examples of an ideal society where true progress can be achieved and the human condition are enhanced. While certain politics remain distinctly different from our Republics, our founding and governing values are very much so the same.

In a world increasing polarized by rightist Monarchies looking to restore their pride after a crushing defeat from an equally oppressive Marxist-Leninovist Regime that perverts the teachings of Karl Marx in order to empower the view under the guise of empowering the many, it becomes all the more important that the truly liberated and likeminded nations of the world cooperate and find commonality. To this end, the Aurarian Republic suggests that our two Republics engage in talks in order to increase the cooperation and friendship between our Republics.

Should this be found agreeable, I will instruct my Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make the immediate preparations for a state visit. I do hope that the ambitions of the Engellexians and the Aurarians align and that a meaningful dialogue can be exchanged between us.

The progression of Europe continues, it should very much at least be acknowledged if not openly expressed, the intensity to which it does is a lessening satisfaction that would hazard a thought, regularly occurring, when it is not at all decidedly invited to be.

Seldom has Fiction, Communism, and Monarchy ever provoked an obsession in the hearts and minds of the Engellexian Republic, neglecting the spirited justice of the Thaumantic Civilization, that is certainly very much true. It pains the Engellexian Republic that too many populations continue to deliberately labour under the delirium of those injustices constructed by humankind's greatest, immeasurable mistakes.

Europe, our humankind collective, is permanently denied the furthering of itself, the advancement to a lasting, enlightened kind of human, and always by the much lesser peoples. I, we, are forever promised a state of melancholy with Europe. That those very same lesser peoples would deliberately reduce the betterment of the First Republic, and her sufficiently stimulated friends and partners, should only ever motivate a state of war.

It is pleasing, truly encouraged to receive this letter, your Excellency, for I believe Europe is made just that small amount more for it.

Much will be seen from those words we do share. Europe must heed our sentiments, they are kind and they are bountiful.

I will make instruction upon the Secretary of the Republic for the Northern Department of the Joint Committee in respect of our correspondence.
