:!: President Kim sends farewell message to the nation

President Kim Jae-jeong today delivered his farewell message to the people of Shinryeo as today was his last day in the presidency. He described that his times as the President of Shinryeo was the most 'happiest and passionate time' in his life. Also, he evaluated his administration as 'one of successful' administrations in the modern history of Shinryeo. After the speech, President Kim met the President-Elect Roh Woo-hwan, at the Presidential Palace in Anpyeong. It is reported that President Kim and President-Elect Kim talked future plan of upcoming Roh's administration and present political matters. Term of Kim's presidency will be expired on tomorrow, when the term of new president will begin right after the inauguration ceremony.

:arrow: "Prosperity is on the way in", Roh Woo-hwan sworn-in as president

Promising to bring prosperity and hopeful future to a country undergone economic boom under the ex-president Kim's administration, former DNP parliamentary majority leader Roh Woo-hwan was formally sworn in as the president today. Standing before a podium made in front of National Assembly building, Roh smiled as he recited the Oath of Office and it was administred by Chief of the Constitutional Court. After then, new president was cheered by guests of ceremony with big applauds.

Earlier before, former mayor of Anpyeong Metropolitan City Goh Myeong-ho sworn in as the Vice President by National Assembly speaker, as his wife, children and grandchilderen looked on.

In his inauguration speech, President Roh vowed uphold the principles of law and improve the quality of social welfare, saying our spending on social welfare is relatively low than that of other countries' On matter of policy, the President says he will succeed ex-president Kim's policies, especially for economic policy.
