Sir;

I must register my strong objections to Franconia's support for Security Council Resolution 20, which grants the various client states of the Oikawan Empire representation in the Council of Nations, giving Nokanawa undue influence and power in the organisation. Considering the growing military and economic ties between our two countries and the security implications of the admission of these puppet states for Vangala, prior consultation would have been welcomed.

Many of my colleagues are beginning to question the desirability of joint naval exercises when Franconia seems so willing to abandon Vangala to appease others. I feel it would be a shame for our new friendship to come to an abrupt end because of short-term thinking.

Yours sincerely,

Sir;

Please accept my apology for not consulting with Vangala previously. However, as your government is as familiar to the idea of Realpolitik as my government I’m very confident you will be able to understand the resolution’s leitmotif. In return for supporting the Oikawan bid to enter its close-partnership-states into the Council of Nations we receive their approval for Judea, Ascheburg and the Otchi Free State. This way we can ensure these people, who are either fully dependent on Franken and her EDF allies’ protection or completely sovereign like Judea, have access to the Council of Nations to express their concerns and vote for their causes. Since Oikawa remains the only nation vested with a veto privilege to this day, we can but negotiate compromises.

Last but not least rest assured Franken is aware of her responsibility towards her former colonies, which will be continued to be expressed by hard money and credible support.

Yours sincerely,

Robert Comes

Sir;

It is the strong belief of the People's Republic of Vangala that Franconia's interests can be better served by using its influence to further the cause of reform of the Council of Nations. Appeasement will only embolden the imperialists in Nokanawa and the current Resolution will allow the Oikawan Empire to have effective control over the voting process, reducing the Council of Nations to a mere organ of the League of Free States. The reliability of the Council of Nations to deliver solutions to problems, already questionable, will be further diminished and the international organisation will cease to be relevant to countries free from Oikawan control.

I sincerely hope you will reconsider your position regarding Security Council Resolution 20 and realise representation for your allies in a body dominated by the Oikawan Empire is not as desirable as it may initially seem.

Yours sincerely,

Sir;

His Majesty's Government is grateful and delighted there are nations such as yours, which are concerned about the Council of Nations' future. As you do not fear to confront even your close partners with constructive criticism, we are able to gain some invaluable new insights, which we possibly fail to see from our point of view.

This is why the Kingdom of Franken will continue to promote Vangala's economic prosperity, because we do appreciate open-minded discussions amongst allies. Spineless ayesayers are very likely to waiver facing the first storm.

Yours sincerely,

Sir;

The People's Republic of Vangala also welcomes the growing friendship between our two countries after years of mutual antagonism and the reassurances of continued support are appreciated. Naturally, we expect to face no obstruction in our efforts to reform the Council of Nations and we hope for Franconian representation in the forthcoming Conference in Kilkila.

Yours sincerely,
