HEADLINES
National ~ Edessa, Josepania: In the wake of numerous reports detailing the decline of wild honeybee populations, especially in the surrounding agricultural areas of the Priory City of Edessa, the Knight Captain of Edessa announced the implementation of a proposal to set up large-scale beekeeping farms in order to halt the decline and maintain production of Edessan honey, a national delicacy in the Lands of St. Joseph and a notable agricultural export. The Archbishop of the Edessan Diocese announced his support for the initiative, quoting scripture from the Old Testament about mankind's "divine duty to be stewards of the land God the Father has granted us."

International ~ Pontica Region, Remion: Following the tragic terrorist bombing of the Remi Parliamentary Chambers, unrest and the rumblings of civil war are brewing in southern Remion as the self-declared Reformed Army of Pontica refused to recognize the Provisional Government of Remion, and furthermore invaded the neutral Exilium Petri, where only moderate armed resistance has been reported. While the Knights of St. Joseph and the Kingdom of Eiffelland have condemned the actions of the rebel Remis, the Provisional Government has urged the international community not to intervene at this time, as "A foreign military presence in the area could lead to an escalation of events and force the reformist army to attack cities, instead of limiting themselves to strategic military objectives." When asked to comment, Knight Chancellor Orlando Blanco replied that the Knights shall "respect the wishes of the legitimate Provisional Government, and continue to monitor the situation."
