Honourable Sir,
Our two nations have the fortune of sharing the deepest of cultural ties, through the rich history of interaction between our peoples and our shared Orthodox Christian faith.Yet, for so many centuries, our great geographical distance has acted as a barrier between us. On our part, we find this to be a most unfortunate arrangement, which we should do our best to rectify as soon as possible. At the same time, it cannot be ignored that, in recent years, our world has found itself in a rather precarious position, something which is all the more concerning if one were to consider the deep importance of our two countries for international commerce, diplomacy, and culture. With that in mind, it is my privilege and honour to invite you to the Imperial Capital, Propontis, so that we may have the chance to discuss the ways in which our proud nations can be brought closer to one another at last. I eagerly await your response.
