OFFICE OF THE FOREIGN AFFAIRS DIRECTOR
REMURIAN COMMONWEALTH
TOP SECRET
To His Excellency Nikolaos Chrysopoulos the 8th Count Chrysopoulos, His Imperial Majesty's Foreign Minister, Pelasgian Empire
Your Excellency,
It is with particular warmth that I greet you as a Brother in Faith and I pray the Holy Theotokos watches over you and Pelasgia.
And so it seems that the Intercession of Her Blessed Mantle may soon need to be strewn over all of Gallo-Germania as I sense that tensions are consistently building up across the numerous centres of power across our world. And in this web of power play, our Res Publica seemingly yet again finds itself at a cross-roads given her geographical position.
It is of course no secret between us that over our long mutual history we had stable relations with the Pelasgian Empire to our south of the Long Sea, and this is something the Res Publica intends to continue. Yet, in the powerplay surrounding us, with numerous blocs forming, it is my wish to enquire in more detail on the Pelasgian Empire's views on the current events and on the Empire's interactions with the Grand Duchy of Furlanie, on the Empire's view of the dispute between the Grand Duchy and the Organisation of Democratic States, of which both Pelasgia and Furlanie are observers, and of Pelasgia's adherence to the Status-Quo Treaties.
I may not hide that the Grand Duchy's direct sea bordering on both our realms matters for both of us. And any upsetting in the established balance one way or the other may prove detrimental to the Res Publica and to the Empire.
