To the attention of the Right Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Honourable Sir,
It is a known and established fact that the Treaty of Tephanon, which ceded the territory in question to our Empire from yours, has reached its 150 year reconsideration clause, following our administration of the Exarchate for the said time. With our government being sworn in yesterday, the Tephanon Question is one of the first and most important issues we would like to tackle.
With the internal conflict in our homeland now sealed, the Government of Pelasgia is intent on negotiating a fair and lasting settlement for the future of Tephanon, such that the rights and aspirations of all its citizens will be protected, alongside its current level of prosperity, as well as the respective interests of our two great Empires.
To this end, we would propose that talks be held in the city of Zarakas, the capital of the Exarchate of Tephanon itself, so that a relevant pact can be agreed on, signed, and ratified by our two countries as soon as possible. The Empire is committed to the future of a strong, peaceful, prosperous and independent Himyar, a feeling which I am certain your own people share. This is our chance to make it a reality.
