Elvira lifted the cup to her lips under the veil and took a sip. The mint tea was delicious in this part of Europe. The black veil concealed her face except for dark brown eyes. A black scarf concealed her coiled hair. The black robe obscured her female shape. She sat one of the cafe's outside tables next to a dusty road. She was joined by a gaggle of similiarly clothed women gossiping amongsth themselves. Also seated outside were caravan masters, salt traders, blind beggars, and that dusty foreign pick-up truck just down the road. Her contact was late.

Ten more minutes, she thought.

And then she caught sight of another woman approaching across the road, dressed in the khaki uniform of Médecine au-delà des frontières. The pick-up's engine roared to life, sped down the road kicking up a cloud of dust, and rammed the woman who went flying through the air and hitting the dirt hard. From the passenger side, a huge man quickly got out, collected the woman, threw her into the pick-up's bed, and climbed in after her. The driver floored the accelerater and the pick-up sped by.

Elvira did not try to interfere, did not do anything to reveal herself to whoever was watching. But she did watch the pick-up truck, trying to memorize every detail that she could. Details would be important for the next Sister on the next mission.
