GUNNLANDIA RE-UNION PROJECT SHELVED BY GOVERNMENT
The House of Representatives have ceased negotiations with Ivernia's neighbours of the ''Gunnlandia Re-Union Project'' on Friday the 8th, stating the negotiations were to be ''frozen for the forseeable future.'' Without setting a date for them to continue, the project appears to be dead in the water and Ivernia's position in Gunnlandia remains as a lone nation.

Following the recent assasination of President Rygaard in Sylvania, and the recent insular philosophy of Ostveg it appears the Tripartite Agreement has become a stale union, with no will for life. In that time the Ivernish Government quickly - and political commentators have stated hastily - formed alliances with Ivernia's neighbours in order to maintain national security.

However following continuously dipping polls of the Ruling Party, Daonlathaithe Críostaí in the face of major public disapproval over the Gunnlandia project it seems that DC has decided to backpedal.

Pairtí Rioga, the main opposition and ardent critic of the proposed plans has gained major public points from it's loud criticism of the proposed union with; as was stated by the party to be ''Finno-Ugric Cultures and peoples not fitting with our own Gaelic nation.''


MAJOR FIND BY COMMONWEALTH MINING COMPANY
The Mining Company, United Silvercoast Traders Mining Company, or AAMCC, has reported in the Ivernish Himyari Commonwealth the largest diamond ever found in Ivernish Territory. Located by the miners of Súil Nua Mine, located outside of the Baile Súil Nua,this town has also become the namesake of the new diamond, an Diamant na Súil Nua (New Hope Diamond). The AAMCC has stated it intends to put the Diamant Súil Nua on show in the Ivernish Imperial Museum in Alderburgh in early December, and to have the piece broken down and cut in the new year.

Senior Rugby Final has ended with a Nemedia victory over Milesia. In a very tight match throughout, which held Nemedia, last years champions down for most of the game, a last minute try from Kevin O'Gearmainach put Nemedia over the line and winning the All-Ivernia champion title for the third year in a row. Milesia as come in second place for the second year in a row, which has created a truly bitter and heated rivalry between the two Provinces.

MONSTER MEETINGS MAKE HISTORIC RETURN TO IVERNIA
The Royalist Party (Pairtí Rioga) have made a historic return of the ''Monster Meetings'' - tremendously large rallies hosted across Ivernia not seen since the Industrial Rights Revolution in Ivernia in the 1880's.

Páirtí Ríoga has made a bold statement this election race - and a clear sign of their popularity across the High Kingdom.

The most recent rally, hosted in Portcaisleán was stated by Gardaí estimation to number over 100,000 people. While Nemedia is known as Royalist Heartland this must be a very startling number for the current ruling party in the House of Representatives, Daonlathaithe Críostaí.

Páirtí Ríoga has been criticizing Daonlathaithe Críostaí for ''it's Dove approach to international politics,'' stating ''Ivernia's attempts at forming unions for personal defence is weakening the State and hindering it with more responsibilities towards non-celtic self interested states.''

''Ivernia will find it's own way, Ivernish men and women alone shall defend the High Kingdom, and Ivernia shall recreate Gunnlandia under Alderburgh Rule, not share the crown with lesser tribes.''

PROTESTERS RETURN TO VEDRARFJORD MAIN STREET
VIOLENCE IN THE AIR IN IVERNIA'S LARGEST CITY

The annunciations prior by an Garda Síochána Vedrarfjord have proven to be premature as the protest that was cleared earlier in the week as resumed, with republican Federal Ivernia and the student unions returning to the main street of Vedrarfjord City to continue the protest. Garda Commissioner Peadar Laughlin has stated that an Garda would ''work tirelessly to end the disorder and quell the republicans''

Daonlathaithe Críostaí has condemned the return to the sit in, Prime-Representative Silvio Mac Brady sentiments reflected the Commissioners sentiments, stating ''Daonlathaithe Críostaí shall work tirelessly with the Gardaí to restore order to Vedrarfjord. The good people and traders of Vedrarfjord will get their streets back and these opportunist protesters shall be forced off the streets. If they wish for dialogue they will not find it this way.''

Many political commentators have brought up the recent hard line and pro-business ethos by DC which is usually more in line with PR (Pairtí Rioga) policy lines and have accused them of populism in the face of a defeat at the polls.

REGARDS from the CAMDENITE FOLK AND GOVERNMENT

The Kingdom of Ivernia has been in much of its history a great example and a model for the the western countries as a stable democracy, respectful towards its people. We support the democratic process and the right of free speech and of protest. Currently we are concerned about what is happening in Ivernia, as we see he protests of the republicans being suppressed by the Garda, while the Royalist Party and the governing party of Ivernia are watching those events nodding in approbation.

We respect the right of the people asking for a republic or a monarchy of any kind of ruling system, but both the protesters and the parties are exaggerating and are also hypocritical. While we respect the right to protest, such actions must be done in a legal and civilized manner. Secondly, we fully condemn the fact that the Garda has been sent to suppress the movement, but the worst actor in this tragedy is the Royal Party, which is supporting the repression and also shows its hypocritical nature when they put the knife at the neck of the protesters and then argue that they don't want to negotiate.

We hope that the republicans understand what their rights are and also what their obligations towards the state of law is and the government understands what a great threat and slippage from the road of democracy is the presence of the Gardai on the streets. Also, we hope that the people of Ivernia will understand that the actions and rhetoric of the Royal Party are proving to be dangerous, if this party will ever form a government and continue the same way they do now, when in opposition. We are scared that if such a thing will happen, the Ivernia that we currently know, will sadly disappear.

SLÍ NIOS FEARR CONFERENCE LEADS TO MAJOR POLITICAL AMALGAMATION
Daonlaithete Críostaí in major trouble as the entire right is forming a single unified party

Following the whirlwind Monster Rallies hosted by Pairtí Ríoga gaining major support as well as a large lead in the polls, the party's final meet at Tara was hosted by the affiliates of the ''Gaelic Political Front'', a loose union of all major right wing parties.

In the Conference however the GPF has announced that the representative political parties; Páirtí Ríoga, Aontas Caitliceach and Páirtí Náisiúnta are to form a new party named Claíomh Solais. [bearla: Sword of Light].

Claíomh Solais, while just missing out on a majority over the ruling party Daonlathaithe Críostaí, is almost certain to make a major win on the elections in the Celtic New Year, February 1st as DC fails to make any major headway outside of Vedrarfjord.

Anti-Peace Protesters Attack Gardaí with Fire Bombs behind barricades

Violent chaos in Vedrarfjord as the protestors against the current Ivernish state hurl homemade firebombs against Gardaí members attempting to maintain the peace around the protest square. A protest which was planned to be cleared by the Garda Vedrarfjord in November has been met with major resistance by the members of what is being described as a ''shanty town''.

Prime-Representative Silvio Mac Brady, who promised a peaceful end to protests, has been called into criticism for his failure to maintain stability in Ivernia's largest metropolis.

VEDRARFJORD GARDAÍ LAY DOWN ARMS - ALDERBURGH'S FURY
The Vedrarfjord Gardaí have suffered a schism as many Gardaí refuse to push on protestors

The Vedrarfjord City protests have taken a major turn for the uncertain as many Gardaí have announced they refuse to stand against the protesters, after receiving commands, reportedly, to ''remove the problem and obliterate the protest.''

Many Gardaí have joined the ranks of the Protesters.

Following the protests entering a violent stage, it appears the people of Vedarfjord have become more sympathetic to the protesters message of the increasing extremism of Alderburgh. Following the amalgamation of the right wing parties into Cumann na nGeadheal many leading figures in Vedrarfjord, the most left-wing and metropolitan part of the Ivernish High Kingdom have come out with grievances and concern over the current path of Ivernish politics, criticising Cumann na nGaedheal's call for a snap election in the new year.

Cumann na nGaedheal has criticised the Vedrarfjord leadership and police force, calling them to be ''too soft'' and ''anti-economic'' following a major net loss of spending and the domestic economy for this time of year - reported by the Merchants Guild of Vedrarfjord - over the Christmas Period due to the protests. CnG has also declared the recent action by Gardaí Síochána Vedrarfjord as ''treason''.

Cumann na nGaedheal is planning to push in the House of Representatives for martial law over the Metro Gardaí Schism, as a precursor to a ''swift end to the protests and all Vedrarfjord dissent.''

Members of the House of Representatives have called for all of the Home Counties to ''remain united'' and stated that an internal military action between Nemedia (Alderburgh) and Milesia (Vedrarfjord) would create ''a nation and a house divided - to the detriment to us all''.

CLAÍOMH SOLAIS GAINS SLIM MAJORITY BEFORE ELECTIONS START
Combined right gains majority due to desertions from other political parties. Paul Griffin new technical Prime-Representative!

In the past few months as the new party for the right, Cumann na nGeadheal has taken Ivernish politics by storm, Representatives from all parties have been defecting to CnG in slow drops. However due to the crisis in Vedrarfjord created by left wing extremism, more and more Representatives have been filing to join CnG and move away from Daonlathaithe Críostaí and DC-like parties dedicated to ''centrism'' whose ''compromising philosophy' was blamed for the lefts ''self-empowerment'' and ''eventual Republicanism against the state.''

Paul Griffin, leader of Cumann na nGeadheal has become the technical Prime-Representative by majority. High King Felix is expected to inaugurate Griffin immediately on Saturday 10th of January.

Daonlathaithe Críostaí has accused the defectors of ''Jumping from the ship before we sprung a leak.'' Former Prime-Representative Silvio Mac Brady, head of DC stated ''They want to keep their jobs after the snap election in the Celtic New Year, they're joining what they think is the ''winning team'' but they're wrong. Daonlathainte Criostaí may lose majority but the elections have been called for February and we will regain our majority, put an end to Vedrarfjord's crisis and return stability to Ivernia.''

An Nuacht Gaelach can confirm that Military forces have crossed the border into Milesia!

It has been confirmed by the Department of Defence of Ivernia that military columns have passed the Nemedia - Milesia border in the previous days and are advancing towards Vedrarfjord. Vedrarfjord, in recent times, has fallen into a crisis as the Gardaí and students are attampting to form an overhaul of Ivernish politics. Considered ''left-wing extremists'' by the Government in Alderburgh, but with the support of the Provincial Government of Milesia. ''They are political opportunists and nothing more'' Conor Hadley, an independent Representative stated in the Lower House. ''Milesian politicians were sympathizers to communism and critiqued our military alliances in the past, and now that we aim to sure up our personal defences for ourselves, they complain again. They simply oppose the ruling Reps to gain votes - and now they've gone too far.''

While Milesia has been rumoured to have communique'd a declaration of non-aggression against Alderburgh, sources in the Houses state that any ''declaration'' can only come from Alderburgh and as such was not recognised. As the military advances to Vedrarfjord it will be seen whether or not the war stays cold, and if the loose collaboration of students, protesters, rouge-Gardaí and rouge-military will put up a defence for the city.

Nuada Airgetlám states the Social Scientists have brought Ivernia to the brink of Chaos.

Claíomh Solais's leader Nuada Airgetlam to introduce ''Rights of Citizenship'' Bill in which the constitution is to be amended to separate the meaning of citizen and civilian - and only give the right to vote, among other rights - to the citizen.

While the details of the Bill are not yet known it has been confirmed that one path to citizenship will be 24 months of military service. The announcement of the commencement of the drafting of this bill was met with widespread approval by both politicians and member of the public alike, with the Bill almost certain to pass while the Government remains under Claíomh Solais's leadership.

His Majesty, the Duke, as well as all of the Cyclopeians, are devastated to hear the scandalous news that such a proposal has desecrated the proud Ivernish parliament by even being proposed. Stripping one of ones' democratic rights is disproportionate to any military service or other demand. The distnction between "citizens" and "civilians' is a mere farse. All civilians are citizens of a country and this proposal would leave potentially millions stateless and unable to exercise their voice in their very country. Not only is this form of militarism dangerous, this sets a terrifying precedent; Today the Ivernish people may be stripped of their vote. Tomorrow what stops an all powerful Crown or Nationalistic Government from stripping them of their rights to life, to property, to well-being, to freedoms of thought, expression, religion, press and so on? We urge, we even beg that this proposal is downvoted severly and that the Ivernish people do not let their democracy be destroyed. A Crown and a Democracy and by extension a Crown and the People do not have to be at odds, they have to live together to make sure peace and prosperity reign. Popular Rule should not be a priviledge for the few, it is a fundemental right for all human beings, who are born equal and remain so until the day their lives come to an end. No amount of military service to turn people into militristic killing machines and drones can change that. We urge the honourable members of Parliament of the High Kingdom to not let the proud folk of Ivernia be stepped upon by tyrants and vote down this shum, and failing that we urge the people to demonstrate against it by all peaceful, yet strong, means. The Ivernish folk have never let any foreigners enslave them and it shall be a sad day when their very elected leaders do so. The People and Government of the Madai Shahdom are thrown aghast by the events that have taken place in the High Kingdom of Ivernia. The Imperial Government of the Shahdom is condemning the recent events in the country and is stressing that in the light of the machinations that have transformed the Kingdom of Ivernia into a nationalist dictatorship, we issue a warning for the Madai citizens living in Ivernia to leave the country as quickly as possible and we are also issuing a travel warning for the Madai citizens that wish to travel to the Gunnlandian nation, to travel only on business of utmost importance and to take responsibility of the fact that their lives might be threatened.

The division of the political classes, between Citizen and Civilian will be created once this bill will be voted on, will bring only destruction to the Ivernian people. We hope that the Ivernian Parliament will come to their senses and understand that this bill has been created just to give the right to vote to the supporters of the Claiomh Solais, whereas the political rights of the pro-republican protesters are stripped off. It is clear that through this, the government in Dun Midhe wishes to ostracize the Milesians from the electoral legitimate process, without caring that through this, they lose all legitimacy. The move is thus clearly made to catch the Milesians between the devil and the deep sea. With this they are to either attack Dun Midhe to stop it or wait to see how the government will legally strip them of all their rights and then crush them.

We are not supporters of civil wars, nor of fascism and ultra-nationalism and thus we are of the opinion that the events in Ivernia may forever destroy this country and people as we know it now. We are against this great slippage from democracy and human rights that its called "The Rights of Citizenship Bill" for we believe that this creates a right-wing stratocracy in Ivernia that will legitimize the power of the army over the civil society and put militarism on the rank of an official state ideology. For it is clear that, as Ahura Mazda and its prophet Zoroaster has thought us, each thing has its own place in universe. The Army is to defend the country and the people, not to create a ruthless dictatorship. A military man knows how to lead a unit, knows how to fight, but its not his job to know how to lead a state. Even the discourse of Taoiseach Nuada Airgetlam shows how the new order in Ivernia will be based on political violence and thus all the shackles that have kept the politicians from actively killing themselves for power (which is called in international law, the state of law) are now destroyed and with this we expect a series of political assassinations and arrests so that the new government is thus taking over all aspects of life in Ivernia. In hopes that everything will end soon, we ask High King Felix Ua Neill to veto this bill and to politically take a stand against the rise of fascism in Ivernia.

In conclusion, we understand that there may be a wave of nationalism in Ivernia but we cannot stand idle to see how democracy dies. In the end, if the Ivernians are ready to accept that, we cannot oppose their wishes and thus we would still keep our economic ties with new Ivernia.

''Several nations expressed concern over the new age of Ivernia. Especially nations who have decided that there is such a thing as an ''absolute moral good'', and that democracy is that absolute. One such from Cyclopeia, a must humorous case - as I received two letters of condemnation from the one state. As Cyclopeia attempts to hold the moral high ground it's own country schisms and falls about the foundations. ''Eiffelland shall be the saddest story of the 20th Century. Surrounded ever more by communist nations, who's agents will soon be plotting within Eiffelland's own borders. HOME RULE
Nuada Airgetlám intends to grant long-awaited HOME RULE to the Commonwealth​

Nuada Airgetlám has declared his plans yesterday to put Home Rule ''Back on Track'' for the Ivernish Himyari Commonwealth. The Himyari Commonwealth was promised Home Rule over three years ago when it was merged from the two separate colonies, Chósta na tSolais and Airgetír. However the previous Government had delayed in granting these powers to the Commonwealth due to instability in the region. Critics had said that the instability was actually caused by Native and even Ivernish Frustration at the delay and lack of Representation.

Claíomh Solais, which contains the entirety of the former Royalist Party, was a major supporter of the ''Imperial Federation'' plan for Ivernia and it seems that Nuada Airgetlám, now in power, intends to create this system.

''Our Empire must change if it is to survive, and as I stand and defend the rights of the Ivernish peoples in the Home Counties so too must I defend the rights of our citizens and civilians in the Commonwealth, and further abroad. The Colonial Empires have failed. We will give the Commonwealth their autonomy within the Empire. With their own Taoiseach, answerable of course to our shared Head of State. As a former Colonel who served for years in the Commonwealth with many soldiers under my command born and bred in the Commonwealth lands I understand their plight and frustrations, a people disenfranchised by the Empire they served due to where they lived.''

Claíomh Solais outlined it's plans today in the House of Representatives from the dissolution of the ''Commonwealth Senate'' to the creation of a House of Representatives and a new Senate bicameral system mirroring the system in the Home Counties. The declaration of Home Rule for the Commonwealth is expected to be signed on Friday the 10th of April by the High King in Tara Castle, officially bringing it into existence.

Elections shall be run in 7-8 months time according to the Government, possibly later. Political Parties are already on the ground in the Commonwealth, but it is expected a great deal more, as well as some Home County parties shall participate in this election for the first ever seated government of the Commonwealth.

Claíomh Solais stated the military of Ivernia is expected to stay in it's current form.

IVERNISH IMPERIAL ARMY MARCHES INTO VEDRARFJORD, RESISTANCE FROM COLUMBANUS RADICALS​

Following a series of ever intensifying protests and eventually riots within Vedrarfjord against the current Columbanus tyranny gripping Milesia, Claíomh Solais have suspended all negotiations with the group. Nuada Airgetlám stated, ''Following major civil unrest in Vedrarfjord it became clear that the ramshackle order Columbanus may have held on to, is now gone. As such any further talks would be pointless and fruitless and we must now rely on the Ivernish Imperial Armed Forces to calm the situation in the Provincial Capital.''

Claíomh Solais has stated that ''most'' of Milesia has been secured by the Army during the stalemate in a ''creeping strategy'' and the main source of unrest is now ''contained'' in Vedrarfjord. As such reports from both international as well as AN NUACHT GAELACH reporters within Milesia have stated that there have already been a series of skirmishes within the City between National and Provincial soldiers, with barricades blocking off certain streets.
Only time will tell if the Government can indeed reclaim Ivernia's largest city without major conflict and destruction within the city.

The Galindian Union condemns the violence in Verdarfjord and the intervention of the army against the republican commune. Galindia strongly believes in the human rights to choose their leaders and government systems. The current fascist regime in Caladbolg is working tirelessly to destroy the democratic traditions of the Ivernian people, not only that , but in their race to take complete power over the Ivernians, they are ready to make make innocent people suffer and turn the people one against the other.

The Union officially condemns the Ivernian regime that has made it's most important goal, the oppression of the people and the creation of an obtuse point of view, in which they work tirelessly to destroy all bridges with the countries that worked together with the Ivernians and help them develop in their history. We condemn the creation of this myth in which the fascists portray themselves as defenders of a common noun that is the people, which is presented in an ideologically correct way, but it's in reality a form devoid of all the substance that makes the people of Ivernia so great.

As a response, seeing the increase of violence in Ivernia, the United Government has decided to place the 2nd Army on alert, so that there will be no spill of the civil war in Ivernia in the Union Territories'. We would not recall our ambassador from Caladbolg, as the Galindian communities from Ivernia will still need the help and expertise of the full staff of the Embassy.

The Free Republic of Längerland views the recent events in Ivernia with concern for the wellbeing of unarmed civilians. We trust that the authorities on both sides of this conflict will take care to afford such innocents the rights they are due, including free passage to seek medical care and shelter from conflict. The High Commission of Längerland in Caladbolg will for the time being maintain regular hours. Those seeking emergency political asylum will, as always, be able to approach the High Commission at any hour for consultation with a member of the diplomatic service to hear their case.

Additionally, the Free Republic calls for restraint and frequent communication between Ivernia and Galindia to prevent an escalation of violence that could affect security and peace on the border between said countries.​

ARCHBISHOP MAC DERMOTT CALLS FOR PEACE AND UNITY BETWEEN ALL GAELS​

The Northican Church of Ivernia, - which claims a community of over 20 million Ivernish people, constituting just over 90% of the
population - has held a major conference over the past week in Caladbolg relating directly with the Ivernish Civil War.
Heads from all Provinces of the Church, including Rebellious Milesia and Formoria were in attendance -
allowed special grant to pass the now Militarised Provincial Borders.
Bishop Sean Glas of Fomoria in particular spoke of the ''Spiritual Unity of all Gaels in these tumultuous times.''

The Northican Church of Ivernia also plans to hold a major vigil over the coming week to celebrate the Sun's 24 hours in
Caladbolg outside of Parliament House to send a message to Claíomh Solais, who have been accused of being ''lethargic acting on the Ivernish Crisis.''​
