With the most sincere and dear jubilation, we declare the One World Series of Football fully fielded. Thirty Two Professional and Amateur Clubs have staked their will upon this tournament, awry with professional competition, to effectively decide who and which country possesses the greatest starting eleven in the Civilised World. Results of the First Round shall be officially circulated via telegram, radio, and television if specified by the date of 2nd June, 1953.

World Series Commission, Cantigian Sporting Authority

The following officials have been suspended from further presiding over One World Series of Football matches: Curtis Wetenhale (Head Referee), Andrew Harte (Asst. Referee), and Jerome Foster (Asst. Referee), who oversaw a match between Giecz-Wislica United (MEZ), and Hakata 1901 (TZN) on 3 June, 1953.

Representatives from the Hakata 1901 Club have leveled allegations against this officiating party of foul play on this evening at the New Dulwich Palace & Recreation Center, in which Giecz-Wislica United (MEZ) recorded a 3-2 victory over Hakata 1901. The World Series Commission will call the aforementioned officials, representatives from both clubs, and media outlets who recorded this event for broadcast television to testify in a public investigation in to these events.

They came from iciest tundras and the hottest deserts, the largest cities and the smallest villages, allowing us for a short reprieve from the ideological and economic troubles that consume our daily lives. Two clubs in particular however overcame all the rest.
