(PROPONTIS) A freighter heading from @Clarenthia to @Engellex via the Long Sea run into a heavy storm and reportedly sunk off the coast of the island of Chelonis, in eastern Pelasgia. The sailors were rescued by the Imperial Pelasgian Coast Guard (APAF), though most of the cargo was lost at sea. The Government of Pelasgia is coordinating with the Embassies of the Commonwealth of Clarenthia and the Engellexian Republic to transfer the sailors and passengers home as soon as possible. In the meantime, the rescued persons will remain in at the port city of Petra, on the island of Chelonis.

To Whom it May Concern,

The State of Tiburia is not an "occupier" of Philistaea but its legitimate sovereign owner. Philistaea is not "the Jewish homeland", but the homeland of a whole host of different groups; to reduce it to the fief a single group is completely inappropriate. The members of these groups are Tiburian citizens and have rights which cannot and will not be negated by foreign bodies.

Tiburia has not "diplomatically provoked" any "legitimate religious pilgrimage". We have not tailored any policy to incur the condemnation of so-called "liberal democracies". We have summoned the ambassador of Pohjanmaa in Propontis to explain these statements. Unless we receive a full apology therefor and a retraction thereof, we will be forced to recall our ambassador from Pohjanmaa and expell that of Pohjanmaa.

We cannot and will not engage in diplomacy with countries that question our fundamental sovereignty over out own territory in favour of foreign non-state actors.

President Breckenridge made comment on the current Fiannian worry over Sylvanian participation in the DDI exercises currently taking place near the Northern Passage Canal: "I am confident that President Sharpe will understand the need for these military maneuvers between us and our allies in the DDI. We are making sure that these maneuvers do not impeded sea traffic near the operation area as the canal is extremely important to our economy and to our trading partners within the DDI, that is why we hold these exercises as protection of critical infrastructure from rouge factions and enemy states is paramount. While I have heard of rumblings of dissatisfaction from President Sharpe's administration over these maneuvers, he has yet to reach out us formally to speak about it. I am sure that after a good talk there will no longer be any stress over military movements in the region."

Rumours go that the government is planning a large change in the constitution to make it easier for Retalians, Helgolanders and Rügeners to play roles in national politics. At this moment, the political parties in Continental Eiffelland form the national government. Rügeners, Helgolanders and Retalians can only become Chancellor or Minister in the national government if they are appointed Chancellor, Minister of Defence, Minister of Foreign Affairs or Minister upon approval by the coalition parties in Continental Eiffelland as well as the governments of Retalia, Helgoland and Rügen. Apart from that, everything is determined on the national level by Continental Eiffellandians. The most important change will be the introduction of a national parliament chosen from all Eiffelloretalians by all Eiffelloretalians. The national government will be based on that national parliament. Details are not known yet.

Many analysts are expecting the NEAC to slowly withdraw as the conflict starts to froze, with Masimba and Comrade Pondo on the run in the western regions, with many of their responsibilities being taken over by the LNDF and private contractors.

These protests have continued for the last eight months, since the chemical explosion in Pispala last spring. Thus far Parliament has held firm in avoiding the topic, and public opinion has held steady at about 50/50.
