"...I stand by what Director Faraday said in her communication, we are concerned about the stability of Strathclyde and we are just as much concerned for the welfare of the innocent people of Ulster. Sylvania has invested much in Sutherland in lives and in monies, we have had a firm hand in our affairs there and that has made the region prosper, but violence in Ulster threatens not just themselves, but the entirety of Strathlcyde and that is why Sylvania stands with the national government and why we demand action, lest the the country fall apart. (Faras) As the period for signing up closes by, the capital of the Despotate is ready to receive the best of the world's athletes in a celebration of sports that goes as far as the 5th century BC. The Nobatian Apollonian and Sports Committee together with the Ministry of Youth and Sport have stated that there have been over half a million tickets sold for the opening and closing ceremony of the games and the athletic events. Out of those, about 75,000 are foreign tourists coming to the city for the Apolloniad.

(Old Pachoras) The Apollonian Torch has been lit up this afternoon at the old temple of Apollo, representing the official beginning of the 7th Edition of the Apollonian Games. Old Pachoras, situated on the opposite bank of the Iteron from Faras was the centre of the ancient Nobatian civilisation, with a necropolis of more than 200 pyramids and temples dedicated to most of the Nobatian, Kypthic and Leontian Gods. The old temple of Apollo, was the centre of the ceremony opening the Games since ancient times. The torch will be carried over a 40km relay around the hinterlands of Old Pachoras and Faras, to be brought at the Apollonian Stadium Hêlias Chronides for the opening ceremony of the Games.

The driving reason for the territory vote was there being no National Sales Tax in Victoria Island or the Vanguardia Dominion.

Marcelino Franco, the 100m swimmer representing Auraria at the IV Appoloniad Games in Nobatia has been arrested for assaulting an officer and drunken/disorderly conduct on the first night of the Games, following the opening ceremony. Reportedly, the swimmer went to a local bar in Faras, drank too heavily and began chanting "Viva la República!" while flipping tables. The Ministry of Culture and Sport apologized saying that "Franco has shamed the Republic and does not stand for the values we express." Meanwhile, twatter users have taken to mocking the incident with the most common sentiment being "Perhaps, in the end, Marcelino Franco provided the most genuine representation of our country out of all the athletes down there."

All leave for soldiers stationed in Strathclyde was cancelled the other day without reason given by the regional commanders. All soldiers with leave vouchers have been informed to remain at their duty stations until more information is released. Many have speculated that the leave cancellation has to do with the upcoming January 31st election and the possibility of sectarian violence in Ulster. Though no violence has spilled into Sutherland or other regions, overseas commanders are not taking any chances.

This would seem to support rumors that the Administration is not confident about gaining support in the National Court and is looking to avoid a legislative defeat.
