Once upon a time we had a really cool time zone map. I'd be happy to make a (very ugly) rough draft of one as well as consult with players, especially of the larger countries, how or of they want their country divided into time zones. I would then need someone with superior skills and software to make it pretty.

What do you all think?

That works for me. I personally believe that, as Auraria is currently the premier colonizer, the "GMT" might run through Solis, since they'd have been doing most of the early cartography.

Likely. The Engellexian Republic followed PMT (Penhaligon Mean Time), which ran through either Dulwich or Hammersmith (New Union City). It still would, as a point difference to the rest of Europe, as it does with the Republican Calendar. The New Model Republic follows the latter, at least, too.

I’ve been running with “GMT” going through Engellex since his days as a mapmaker. I don’t see the lines coming back on the official map anytime soon as the map is optimized for the globe project. That said, I could make a simple one in the future that reflects borders and whatnot.

That would end up just being superfluous and useless. At some point, you agree "Yeah, it's high noon" or "Is it dusk where you're at? So that's about 2/3 from noon to midnight right?"

Aye, but I believe he's gone away from the English colonial archetype. It might be fair if, as he stated above, he has his own? I mentioned Auraria because he has colonial/imperial history from Touyou to Himyar to Westernesse.

Ok so Solis sounds fine to me. I will wait a few days to allow others to chime in of course.

@Pohjanmaa can I send you my super ugly and childish drawing once I have it so that you could convert it into something presentable?

@Touzen @Kadikistani Union @Sylvania @Ambrosia @Beautancus you guys are particularly 'wide' countries and I would like to know if you would like multiple time zones to split your lands or if you prefer a Chinese style One Country, One Time Zone.

For Nedernesia I intend to be annoying and be +30 minutes ahead of Scania and -30 behind Gallo-Germania.

I had the impression the PMT-standards were internationally the most accepted, thus Salen uses this timetable. I guess I'm in timezone PMT +1 or +2.

@Nedernesië Yesh, shares ye drawingsh pleashe!

The Anti-State would have no federal law regulating time zones as this would be a member entity level matter. In practice that means that times are designated in both Shinkyo Standard Time and a local time zone side by side, using a 24h format. Transport (trains, air travel) runs on SST.

So for simplicity's sake (for me anyway), should I have the AS in one internationally recognised time zone with a footnote?

I described Natal's as Central Himyari Time, which I always imagined as a GMT+2 or +3, I'm not sure which.

I think he meant every country has the Time Zone that is appropriate, but also knows Shinkyo time.
