"UNSER KAMPF"
(Our Struggle)
A book by Horst Grasser
CHAPTER I
An alternative is possible.
They say the global order we live in is the best global order we have. A bipolar global establishment divided by an invisible, but sometimes tangible iron curtain, in which the eastern Marxist-Leninovist ideal collides with the western Free Market-Capitalist view of the world. (Our Struggle)

CHAPTER I
An alternative is possible.
Even in the so-called western liberal democracies, as the Republic of Ostmark used to identified itself, criticism to the predominant political economic establishment was highly frowned upon. This occurs in both so-called free market, liberal countries as much as in the marxist-leninovist east.
Those like me who stand up against a system, capitalism, defined by economic cannibalism and the exploitation of the workers, are considered as lunatics. Extremists. Psychopats. I don't think that looking for an alternative to the current world order makes me one.
They object my ideals on the basis that "If it isn't capitalism, it is marxism-leninovism". They are wrong. An alternative is real as soon as it is conceived. The question is: will the people embrace it? Or will the people further fall into the psychological terror campaigns promoted by the industrialist and capitalist lobbies of the west?
The ostmarkian capitalist lobbies would welcome foreign multinationals while legislators further curb workers' rights and allow more exploitation, thus increasing the frustrations of the working class, in the face of all the false gods promoted by the 1959 social-democratic "revolution".
Was that a real revolution anyway? Or was it a final assault to destroy Ostmark's identity and national peculiarities in the name of a globalist, capitalist community in which the workers are merely regarded as consumers? And how does it differ from a system that denies the ownership of an apartment, or a car, while the functionaries of the communist party travel in expensive limousines and enjoy all those privileges common folks are constantly denied in the name of the dictatorship of the proletariat?
To our west, the poor are starving, the homeless are neglected and money's only use is the purchase of armaments and tools to unleash more suffering. In either case, if we are to fully accept adherence to capitalist liberalism, we must be prepared to surrender our national sovereignty and accept domination by a foreign political class, be it merely ideological or economic domination.
This would be unacceptable. Every ostmarkian man and woman should reject the "there is no alternative" lie, and also firmly reject these liberal-capitalist political systems conceived by foreign political and economic lobbies that in no case will act in the interest of Ostmark and its working class. If we are to forge our own third way, we must accept the risk of facing retaliation .
Defending Ostmark's identity and sovereignty against the threats posed by both system is a risk worth to be taken. Sooner or later we will have to pick up our assault rifles and defend our homeland and our ideals: when the time will come, we will be ready.
