I was told on day one that Uranium was discovered in the SW of my country. I read on one of the intro boards that Uranium and nukes are forbidden. So what gives? I am a bit confused.

Oh well the off-site forums don't use any statistics from the ''NationStates'' online game. This RP (Role-Playing) game is more based on realism, so no massive 1 billion strong populations or space invaders or anything like that.
Now, there's nothing crazy about uranium, but we removed all nuclear anything from the RP game because it was overpowered.
You just bring over your nation with it's culture, political stucture and religion and those things. Then you set you population, economy and resources to realistic levels that you would see in the RP world.

Ivernia, How do I set the factors you mentioned. I was told when I created Aluria, that the arms industry was my premier industry and that uranium was discovered. I understand the uranium issue was sent to a Nation States forum for answer. But the other things I was curious, is there a form set to help establish details for you nation?

That's a very good question. Basically you set them yourself, and make up your own nation entirely. Is there a pre-set questionnaire, no I'm afraid not. But here this link could help? It's a pre-set form to fill out, look at this example:
Make a ''factbook'' thread and fill in your answers to those question in bold. Answer the ones you know now, and even make up extra questions if you want to be specific.
Then you can ask the forum for advice on current details you are thinking of. Is that any help?

I made exactly that and put it has a wiki entry, so it may be more public for the forum players.
